Cabin 8086 has two lifeboat obstructed view oblong porthole windows, which don't offer much of a view, but offer plenty of natural light compared to an inside room. The cabin seemed larger than an inside, and NCL website lists it as about 20 sf larger. The bathrooms are nice, but really small. Sliding doors separate the sink from commode and shower stall. Plenty of closet space. Small TV.  Read entire member review.

FABULOUS! by Elliegal
We liked how central to everything this cabin was. Somewhat noisy but I always bring a small fan and that blocks the noise well. Good size, comfy beds, nice!  Read entire member review.

Very nice, lots of storage, we could see out between lifeboats. Very old TV but the ship status was wonderful (reported see conditions, temp and ship position). Sleeping in our stateroom was not good. This room would be perfect for a night owl but we generally go to bed around 10ish and the karaoke lounge directly was active till about 1AM and we could clearly hear every song. The Jewel needs a lot more sound insulation.  Read entire member review.

Norwegian Jewel - Cabin 8590 Our cabin was a mid-ship obstructed oceanview on deck 8. We had an oblong cabin which seemed to be a bit smaller than the usual oceanview cabin. The window was on the side of the bed rather than over the bed. I remember there being a bit more storage space in the usual oceanview cabin. These oblong cabins only have 3 drawers as opposed to 6 in the normal oceanviews. There are also less shelves. Be aware of this and look carefully at deck plans before booking. The price is the same for both, so why go with the one with less storage if you can help it. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is always a bit of creaking on any ship. We always bring our travel sound machine and this works out very well. Bathroom was well laid out and a very nice size. At night though, you could only get hot water from the sink. Very hot water. Strange. This cabin was extremely close to Blue Lagoon and Tango's. We never heard any noise from the restaurants, however, since Blue Lagoon is open all night, there were a few times when noisy passengers walking throught the hallway late at night to get to the Blue Lagoon could be heard. Not a big deal, but light sleepers should be aware. We never had any noise from above or below us. Also, this was an obstructed view cabin, but we had full light from our window and could see the view since our window was actually over the roof of the lifeboat outside our window. We could see into some of the lifeboat windows, though, so make sure you close those curtains before you get changed.  Read entire member review.

Good location, central to everything, not too noisy. Obstructed view was not the end of the world for us.  Read entire member review.

Plusses and Minuses by Wilhelmina5
The cabin has a view obstructed by life boats. This was fine with me, because I did not feel closed in and the cabin did get day light. The cabin was quite close to the elevators, but it was rarely noisy. I heard loud voices only a few times late in the evening. Storage space was quite adequate and the cabin did not seem overly crowded. However, the bathroom/toilet was rather small and it was a step up from the room into the bathroom area.  Read entire member review.
