Balcony Cabins 112 Reviews
These balcony staterooms are located either forward or aft. They include two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed, a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony with amazing views.

Our balcony cabin located midship on deck 10 was an excellent location. Very quiet and close to the elevators. It's size was adequate with plenty of storage space including under-bed storage for suitcases. A dispenser for shampoo and soap was in the shower.  Read entire member review.

great balcony, bed was great, buy a pillow before getting on the ship. The only noise I heard were the waves from the balcony doors. Plenty of storage space.  Read entire member review.

Great balcony, comfortable beds, old model TV but it worked, great location, enough shelf spaces scattered around for two women  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was very comfortable with good storage and a great shower  Read entire member review.

Cabin 7540: Small shower. Very comfortable bed. Located near stairs and elevators, but at the opposite end of the ship from main dining rooms. Small but adequate balcony. Plenty of storage space for luggage. Edging on pull-out bed cover is quite worn. Quiet location - we never heard the engines when pulling into port.  Read entire member review.

Our stateroom was 7644 being there was 3 of us me and my fiance took the double bed which was bigger than normal and my mum took the sofa bed which she said was so comfortbale and had no complaints. The room had a lovely balcony we had the lifeboats to the right of the room but to be honest in no way shape or form did this effect our views we had amazing views and the screen between rooms meant we didnt see the people in the next state room. we had the usual mini bar what i loved we didnt have to pay for the hairdryer - on Royal carribean we had to pay for the usage of it but here it was included. We had loads of space for all 3 of our clothes and dresses in the wardrobes and mum didnt have to worry about the sofa bed as our assistance done all this for us, they made animal towels every day for us and our room was spotless our balcony was very spacious we fit 3 chairs and a table out on it and remember if you book this room you are port side aft which means you get to see the Napoli coast from your room :)  Read entire member review.

A very pleasant cruise by SpendingTheirInheritance
Good location. Close, but not too close, to the elevator. The balcony is only semi-private.  Read entire member review.

This was a great balcony because it was a low priced balcony on deck 7, it was on an end by the life boats so it had a curved balcony rail rather that a wall on one side which gave us a wonderful board view forward. I believe there are 12 of these balconies on the ship.  Read entire member review.

lackong privacy on the balcony, very open to anyone walking on the promenade deck  Read entire member review.

POA was as expected by Luke82580
Very small room overall. Plenty of storage however. Balconies are not as private as I would have like but still glad to have the balcony. Room was not cleaned very well before our arrival. Dust everywhere, smudges on mirrors, hairs. Tiny TV.  Read entire member review.

The good: We were on the port side and had a great view of the Napali Coast from our balcony. The balcony itself was worth the money, would definitely get this again since it makes the room feel bigger and more open. Seventh Deck aft is close to many of the restaurants, and not too high that we were affected by any large swells during the tropical storm to the north.

The bad (but not the ship or company's fault): Hallways could be noisy especially with kids running up and down. People need to teach their children not to run indoors. Other than this, didn't hear much from the other cabins. Wish we could hear some of the announcements in our room, but we did got all the important ones.

Cabin was adequate. Small but surprisingly had enough room for everything we had. Bathroom was fine. We had a balcony room. A must do, especially in Hawaii.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 7668 was in a great position - no noise and close to lifts. Cabin was small and 2 people struggled to get round it. Very comfortable bed, a sofa and coffee table, small TV. Good storage space, mini bar which could be emptied and used as fridge. Coffee making facilities and hairdryer provided. Balcony small but had 2 chairs and a small table. Perfect position for viewing the sail past the Na Pali coast.  Read entire member review.

We loved cabin 8090 except when docked in Kauai because the starboard side didn't have a view but all the other times are view was awesome.I would also go to port side when leaving Kauai up on the top decks.Plenty or room in closet and store bags under bed(even if you over pack).Bathroom was small but not as bad as it could have been.Balcony staterooms are the way to go unless you can afford suites & villas.  Read entire member review.

NCL chose the room while I was booking. I wanted midship for motion control. The other plus is that you are never more than half the ship away from anything. I specifically asked which side sees the lava sail by and was correctly told starboard. I don't like their policy of allowing smoking on the balconies but my cruise was quiet and smoke free.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was small but always clean and really it was roomy enough. Our cabin steward was always cleaning it when we were away. We had a cabin with a balcony which was our favorite part. Sitting out on the balcony at night was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the ocean and the full moon. I might add that we were exactly mid-ship on the 8th deck right by the elevators which was extremely convenient to everything...and we were not bothered by the elevator traffic/noise.  Read entire member review.

room 8118, the worst side of the ship to be on, but we took our chances and got a balcony cabin to save money if you let them pick the cabin numbers for you. great central location with a tiny bit of a blocked view because of the lifeboat barely in the way if a whale floats by.  Read entire member review.

Our balcony cabin didn't have nearly the storage space of our son's inside cabin (due to his cabin not having a sofa, I suspect) nor the storage we had on Carnival or Disney, but was far more spacious than our inside cabin for three on Celebrity for the Baltic Sea Cruise (where I couldn't even get to the bathroom once our son's "chair" turned into a "bed" at night). We were only a few doors away from the elevators but the cabin was plenty quiet other than for when we opened the balcony door to hear the ocean and then we once could hear from our bed a guy on his cell phone on the next balcony. We had a refrigerator, but it was full of stuff they want you to buy and even were it empty, it wouldn't have held the plate of chocolate covered strawberries our NCL rep gave us for our anniversary. I loved having the balcony to relax out on late at night and star gazing was great out at sea, as usual.  Read entire member review.

We really enjoyed this room as it is above the life and tender boats. It was great to watch them the morning we were in Kona. Also helped with my fear of heights without taking away from the view. The room is was plenty big enough for the 2 of us. Luggage under the bed and lots of shelves in closet to put things. It is about halfway from mid to stern stairs/elevators so it's close and easy to get to everything! I would stay in this room again or one close to it.  Read entire member review.

We had cabin 8578, a mid-ship balcony. We chose this cabin to help reduce sea-sickness, and found that it was not very rocky, even when cruising fast on the open ocean. Also, the accessibility of fresh air from the balcony was very helpful with sea-sickness. This cabin gave us great views of the Napali coast during the sail-by, and also a nice view of the mountains when docked in Kaui. The cabin had a few maintenance issues, such as a broken door and a door lock that sticks - but these were minor problems that did not detract from our experience.  Read entire member review.
8584
The cabin was well laid out, with enough storage space for two women using twin beds. I love having a balcony on cruises to view arriving or leaving ports or just watching and listening to the sea. Cabin #8584 was amazingly quiet, and the sailing was so smooth we sometimes wondered if we were moving. I just wish they made sure the doors and drawers opened properly before we set sail.  Read entire member review.

Good Time by SMLpair
The cabin (8594) was fine, but I would recommend a higher deck since we were right above the life boats limiting the view.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 8600 - the cabins are small and the balcony is even smaller. The balconies on this level are directly above the lifeboats.  Read entire member review.

8602 - deck 8, on the port side of the ship...about mid-ship. Tiny balcony. Cramped cabin. No access to PA announcements in the cabin. Couch very uncomfortable. Closet and drawer space was sufficient. (we travel rather light). We had good view. The life boats were below our level. Short walk to the mid-ship elevators. No hot water on three days in the morning. Very clean. Adequate lighting but you just about have to turn them all on with the single switch in order to have sufficient light for reading. The bed mattress was so-so. We slept well....but we were exhausted at the end of each day's activities so it was easy to drop off to sleep.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was near the center of the ship and close to elevators. It was quiet and convenient.  Room steward, Catilina, was WONDERFUL!!!  We really enjoyed the balcony, and wouldn't consider a cruise without one now that we have been spoiled!  Read entire member review.

I loved the balcony. It was covered and I didn't feel like I would blow off the ship. We were on the port side so we could sit on our balcony and view the Nepali coast which was beautiful. It wasn't far from the elevators but not so close so as to be noisy. The room was cozy and had very clever storage options. The bed was comfortable.  Read entire member review.

See the main portion of my review. Note that I believe that the location was quite convenient to everything... We did have two complaints about the specific cabin - the blanket cover had some staining and there was a slight smell of urine & mildew in the bathroom - in hindsight we probably should have complained but we have suffered through far worse in our travels.  Read entire member review.

Stayed in cabin 8168 with balcony. Never heard any noise from any of the public rooms. It was also close to the elevator/stairway and it was on the right side of the boat to see the lava flow on Big Island.  Read entire member review.

We were upgraded from a BK Balcony to a BB Balcony, port and aft. It was the perfect size for us (although it should be noted that we are slim people). To summarize: great shower head though small space, adequate storage, small tv, great views from balcony, nice bathrobes, lots of mirrors.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was good except for the bed. It was a queen/king that was high in the middle and low on the outside. My wife and I may as well been sleeping in separate beds!  Read entire member review.

Hawaiian Isles in 7 days by princessantienne
Starboard deck so were on the best side for most docking. Conveniently located just below Deck 11 with the buffet. Deceptive in the amount of space there really was. Well-thought use of every available space. Ample storage - drawers, hangers etc. Balcony was a real bonus - plenty of room and great for time-outs.  Read entire member review.

Teeny tiny room, small balcony, not much room for storage, small bathroom/shower area. Compared to Royal Carribbean, about 1/3 the size of their stateroom.  Read entire member review.

Little space between foot of bed and wall. Closet small. Good thing luggage could fit under bed or I don't know what we would have done with suitcases. Small bathroom.....shower stall. Location was fairly near elevator...but not noisy. Room was adequate but not as large as other balcony rooms on other cruise lines.  Read entire member review.

7 nights on the Pacific by deserttreehouse
We had a port balcony stateroom. We were very impressed with many of the staff of the Pride of America and were happy enough with the rest. Our housekeeper was very personable and we felt spoiled with his towel creations each day. The Hawaiian-theme music in the hallways was charming as are the tiny Hawaiian-theme pictures and the cool carpeting. The trek to our stateroom, at the very end of the port side of the ship, proved wearing toward the middle to end of the seven days, however. Next time, we'll pick a different spot on a cruise ship. The picture on the wall in the stateroom was weird....looked like magnolias with little dog noses as the center of the flowers. Too bad we had to have that as the main picture in our cabin. The shower was the tiniest of the tiny. Didn't have a decent shower the entire time. I think even showers on houseboats are larger. The comforter on the bed kept falling off all night and our fellow travelers, another couple, mentioned this quirk, as well. The matress and the pillows were not the most comfortable either. We requested different pillows, but the replacements were just ok, even though an improvement over cement blocks. The chairs on the balcony aren't the most comfortable either, not that we stayed their that much, anyway....but, when we did.  Read entire member review.

New couch needed. Larger table on the balcony would be better.  Read entire member review.
