Great Trip by Joanna6
We stayed in room 11024. Good sized room with what I thought was a HUGE balcony. It is on the starboard side which is best for night viewing of lava at Kilauea, but has the shorter time to view the Pali Coast as the captain cruises longer on the port side for that.  Read entire member review.

Not very good by Island740

Typical for a cruise, small. Liked having more outlets than on other cruises. Balconies should have in obstructed views.

Average balcony cabin. Close to elevator. In the future would book on the port side of this ship since the lava is no longer flowing.  Read entire member review.

Nice storage, almost no hallway noise, balcony made small cabin liveable.  Read entire member review.

Nice balcony room though it bit smaller than on other ships. Still very nice with ample space for two people  Read entire member review.

Quiet location - no rooms across hall. Good location to all spaces. Balcony provided an unobstructed view with lifeboats a few levels below.  Read entire member review.

Typical balcony cabin with poky bathroom. Balcony overlooks lifeboats. Very comfortable bed. No noise problems. Plenty of hanging and drawer space for a week's clothes.  Read entire member review.

9096 (Starboard) - Close to elevators and stairs, but far away enough to be quiet. Sufficient storage space. Store your luggage under the bed as well as the life jackets to give you an additional shelf in the closet. Flushing toilet is like loosing aircraft cabin pressure.  Read entire member review.

Fair size for the cabin grade we had. Will always have a balcony as it was a treat to view coming into port and extended the size of the room. Hallway was quite as there were very few kids in our area. Much better than many hotels. Getting off the ship for final disembarkment needs some work. Hard to hear the PA system with the number of people in the area. Missed our call but we were able to find all of our luggage easily as most others in our time group were gone.  Read entire member review.

Small but adequate neat and clean, TV did to work well but I didn't. Cruise for the TV balcony view on starboard side was great. Room steward excellent  Read entire member review.

nice balcony, comfy bed, lots of storage space,  wonderful airconditioning- stayed nice and cool, shower temperature was hard to regulate, loved having a safe for valuables, loved having a refrigerator and coffee maker, very clean  Read entire member review.

Good to Great by physfun50
Midship balcony is smaller than the aft cabins but it was adequate and on the couple of nights where the seas were rough i was glad to be midship. Of course, I love higher decks. Nine worked out well not too far up or down to any activity. Port side for Napali coast but if the volcanoe is cooperating the starboard is the choice. I loved the fact that smoking was in very contained areas.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was adequate and clean. Great location - mid ship. Shower was ridiculously small. Lots of storage space. Would've liked an alarm clock in the room and a better selection of tv channels. Towels were iffy at best-Some days the cabin steward left them and some he did not - very frustrating.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin 9144 was very nice but a little tight for two. Good balcony and quite. We were near crew area but did not hear anything except last night when they were collecting luggage. That was not even bad as it did not last long as everyone in our area put luggage out fairly early. I would ask for this cabin again. The location was somewhat far from our muster area which was in Little Italy.  Read entire member review.

The category BD was smaller than expected but adequate. The luggage fit neatly under the bed. The bathroom was not as bad as some I've had- particularly the lavatory which was fine. The shower was tiny and hard for me to move around in. All in all, it was fine for the price.  Read entire member review.

We stayed on Deck nine cabin 9586. We found it to be very comfortable. Plenty of storage space. We didn't use any of the drawers. Seem to be room for all our clothes plus. Plenty of hangers. Bathroom was adequate. Enough room to towel off comfortably. Right side of mirror in bathroom opens up so you can store your deodorants and such in there. Didn't realize this at first. Nice shelf for shampoo and stuff in the shower as well. Toilet flushed well, no complaints there. Room was well stocked daily, twice daily with towels. Balcony was a dream. We are so glad we got a balcony. We skimped back on some things for our tip but are so glad we went the extra mile for the balcony. It made the whole experience that much nicer for us. Your own little place in Paradise out of the hustle and bustle of the main decks. Also our room 9586, very quiet. No noise problems what so ever. Enjoyed to the max!  Read entire member review.

Small, but efficient room. good sized balcony, 2 lounge chairs and table. Hair dryer on table with mirror..great..not tying up the bathroom. Layout good. beds can be single or moved to kingsize. Lots of drawers, adequate cupboard..lots of hangers!!! Look for cabinet in bathroom that you mught miss. Also extra space below sink. We were near elevator, but no noise problem, very convenient.  Read entire member review.

So How Was It REALLY? by Sandpipers
Quiet, well-placed, good view. Good storage for contents of two suitcases. It was an adjoining room with a door between, and conversation next door would be able to be heard. But the bathroom was TINY! A plus-size person would not fit in the shower.  Read entire member review.

Quiet but strong mildew odor in hallway and moldy shower curtain. Close to stairs for Aloha Cafe buffet.

good location, no excessive noises or busy areas around. If we were to do this again though, we would pick a cabin on the starboard side so that we could have enjoyed the view of the lava flows at night (around the edge of Hawaii) from our balcony. We were on the side where you could see the Napali coast (on Kauai) from our balcony, but it was overcast when we passed by there.  Read entire member review.

10034 (I may have listed category BB but I really don't recall what Category it was. Anyway, These rooms have about what any cabin would have but run a bit smaller when compared to most we have been in. We got a balcony and I was glad. This room might have been too small without the ability to step out from time to time. Coffee machines in the room with Hawaiian coffee. Should help those who can't take the ship's coffee. Also a pre-stocked refrigerator. Again, the usual stateroom items. Robes for use. Fair sized Balcony It is across from a room steward's entry door but we didn't notice any major noise as a result. Staterooms above and below so no public areas above or below, front or back. Small but efficient closets. A bit less bathroom shelf space for toiletries than usual. Overall stateroom is pretty tight where moving is concerned. We did a good deal of stepping aside and backing up in this room when we found ourselves in the same spot. General appearance was good.  Read entire member review.

Balcony cabin with a view that had a partial obstruction blocking your periphial view.  Read entire member review.
10056
This cabin was very quiet even though it was under the pool. We didn't consider the balcony's view obstructed because of the overhang and the supports for the upper deck. We felt it gave us more privacy.  Read entire member review.
10066
Deck 10 balcony cabins had a problem I didn't realize until after booking. The supports come up on both sides of the balcony so your view is obstructed somewhat to the forward and rear. But as a positive, you have a little more privacy from your next door neighbors. The other problem with it is that if you have cigarette smokers below you who are rude and ignore the rules about not smoking on the balconies, then the smoke is drawn right up into your balcony and cabin. As far as whether starboard or port is best, we felt like starboard was a good choice. The volcano viewing could be done right from our balcony and it was late at night, so that was nice. For the Na Pali coast, you have to be out on the port side, but it is still daylight, so we didn't mind sitting up on deck waiting to begin that part. As far as views in port, you always dock in a warehouse area, so I don't think one side or the other really matters. And if you are in port all day like we were, you aren't sitting there anyway until after you depart.  Read entire member review.
10068
Our cabin was as good as you can get on this ship without going into the big suites. Closet was almost unusable, somewhat noisy from the pool deck, hallway was very quite. Balcony was OK, but had a big overhang from pool deck which blocked the view somewhat. Jemma, our cabin steward was GREAT. Not enough drawers and almost impossible for 2 people to move around.  Read entire member review.

Trip to Hawaii by nickatnight
balcony cabin 10098--plenty of room to store clothes/ suitcases. Two doors from stairway but very quiet--only change I would have liked is if we were on the other side of the ship our view would be much better. We were always on the docked side--not much to see there. Up one flight was buffet and pool area. Easy to find your way around.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin, cabin # 10102, was great. Not noisy and no smokers on the balconies adjacent to us which made it nice since we are not smokers. It was convenient to the stairs and elevators, just a deck down from the buffet so great location for popping in for breakfast before heading off for the day.  Read entire member review.

They upgraded our cabin from BX - no problems with the cabin. Great sliding door and room darkening curtain. Bath was a little tight (same in all rooms we are told by crew). Mid sized closet. 3rd bed pulls down from ceiling which made room bigger. Note - we always move our life jackets under the bed as they take up lots of closet space.

disappointing by Alberta snowbird

This was our first cruise so we did not know what to expect, the cabin was small but functional. We had 2 twin beds combined into 1 king and in order to walk between the bed and the cain wall we had to turn sideways. I don't know if this is standard or not but it was interesting. The bathroom was tiny, imagine an airplane bathroom and double it. I am a fairly big guy, 6'1" 240 pounds and I cannot imagine how anyone bigger than me managed to use the shower. The cabin was clean and the steard was very attentive.

Tiny room. Lots of storage (for 2 people). Comfy bed. Small tv. Great balcony. Quiet location. Large overhang on balcony- so no getting wet if it rains! Near elevators. In forward of ship- long walk to buffet if that is an important factor.  Read entire member review.

Cabin a little smaller than on other ships on which we've travelled, but we were aware of that before we started, and for a 7 night cruise was perfectly adequate.  Read entire member review.

Very Small Cabin Directly below recreation deck...lots of noise from above. Not a good balcony due to superstructure that supports Deck 11 overhang. Creates narrow balcony view and inability to talk to those on adjacent balconies. Avoid Deck 10 balcony cabins... Decks 8 or 9 are much better.  Read entire member review.

Way, way to small, the bed was nice but right on the wall to the bathroom and the so called couch was like sitting on cement. The table and chair in the room was so small. Towels were like sandpaper.

10642 roomy enough. balcony fine. bed comfortable. Noisy---from 2 or 3 am---above us setting up the Aloha Cafe. Woke me up every morning; I never changed from east coast time to Haw. time because I woke up so early every morning. Most nights I was asleep about 9pm.  Read entire member review.

We seemed to have enough room for the two of us. The closet and drawers were ample and the balcony was nice because it was in the 10th deck it had a covering from the 11th so it was great in case it rained. The only draw back was the sliding door on the balcony was horrible to open and my wife haqd trouble doing it by herself.  Read entire member review.

The best amenity in the shower: several small racks stacked in the corner of the shower. The lowest one at the perfect height for propping a foot for shaving legs! Our cabins were located aft on level 10, which meant we were under the Little Italy restaurant. I was concerned when I found out it might be noisy, but except for a few late night short-lived cleaning noises, it was fine. Anyone on level 10 aft on the starboard side probably had lots of noise from the Aloha Cafe. The port side was best for views in port and leaving port, except for Maui.  Read entire member review.
