Our cabin was great, enough room to get around, the shower was small but for as long as I was in there it served it's purpose... Our room was closer to the front of the ship... There was a quiet location... the view was good  Read entire member review.
As mentioned above our 'obstructed view' cabin had no view obstruction. The closet was very substantial with plenty of hangers. I was disappointed in the size of the drawers but there was plenty of shelf room and since we use the packing envelopes we just stuck them on the shelves. The bathroom vanity was a very nice size but the shower was a bit of a squeeze for my 6'2" hubby! I really liked that we could walk right up to the window and look out but disappointed that there wasn't a comfortable chair and the table was on the small side for our morning coffee & 'nosh'. The best feature about our cabin was the wonderful steward who met our every need...always there when we needed him but not intrusive..... Great guy! Another great aspect was that we were right off the centrum bank of elevators ~ mid-ship. I was afraid at first it would be noisy but in fact it wasn't!  Read entire member review.
Cabin E410, obstructed ocean view. Very pleased with room. It's the same size as the balcony rooms, has a very large window and instead of looking through a lifeboat, this cabin looks out around a white box structure. There was about 50% visibility. Very nice. Large easy-to-use safe, plenty of shelves and hanging space. Love the nightstands with drawers and a shelf. Two outlets at the desk instead of the usual one. Plenty of mirrors. Nice LCD TV.  Read entire member review.
Princess ships do a very good job in the cabin layouts. I actually chose the same stateroom as the one we had 10 months ago. Even though it was an obstructed ocean view, the window is large and it located above a storage container, not a lifeboat. There is quite a view from this cabin. I especially like the closet/dressing area right off the bathroom. It gives a person plenty of privacy, while allowing for access to shelves and closet. Appreciate that the safe uses a password instead of a credit card, etc. It was much faster and easier to use.  Read entire member review.

This is officially an obstructed view cabin, but I thought the view was fantastic. There are no lifeboats or other equipment in front of the window; just a platform above and below the window.

Loved the cabin - our view was not obstructed. Initially worried that it was too close to the elevators and it would be noisy - very quiet.  Read entire member review.
We were assigned to an FF category obstructed ocean view cabin after booking a lowest category ocean view. Cabin E505 had a nice view over one of the smaller lifeboats. I'm guessing the view was only 30% blocked.  Read entire member review.
Our room, E516, was well maintained but very small compared to what we have been used to with Holland America. The room was a quad with 2 drop down bunks for the just the two of us. We had to stoop over to get out of bed to avoid getting hit in the head. The beds were quite hard even with an extra foam pad. Steward did a good job maintaining the room.  Read entire member review.
Emerald 517. Convenient, stable mid-ship location. This was an obstructed-view outside cabin. Indeed, the view was completely obstructed by a lifeboat. It was nice to know day from night, but you could not look out and tell the weather. You simply couldn't see anything! This was exactly what we booked, so the lack of a view was no surprise. Rather small stateroom, but perfectly adequate even for two. Lots of storage space. I found the temperature in the stateroom to be comfortable, except for sleeping. My cabin mate was fine with the temperature at night. Each bed is supplied with only a thick duvet. I like to sleep warm, but even I was sweating. The steward supplied me with a top sheet on the third night. With just a sheet and no duvet, I was fine.  Read entire member review.

Our obstructed ocean view cabin was of nice size and well laid out. The picture window was larger than I expected it to be. We had found pictures of the ship's cabins on the internet and thought the obstructed view was okay, but in person we were happy to find the view better than expected. It was obstructed, but I didn't have to stand on tip-toes in order to see over the tender I was one VERY happy cruiser!!! The closet location was excellent - right outside the bathroom door. It was long, open, with more than enough hangers for us. Shelf storage above the hanging items (life jackets located here). Below the hanging items is ample floor area for luggage storage, shoes, and room for our small pop-up laundry hamper to sit (very convenient!). A storage cabinet with a door stood between the open closet and the bathroom. It had approximately six or seven shelves - the safe was located on one of them. The bathroom was of good size, a nice counter top to sit things on while showering and getting ready. Three small shelves along one side. A couple of glasses were on one and the other two could be used for keeping items in the bathroom, if desired. The shower, however, was dinky! It's adequate to shower in if you're small to moderately plus-size (which we are), but would not be fun if you are very plus-size or want to shave your legs while showering. Thank goodness I shaved them before the trip, and I’m old enough the hair doesn’t grow as fast anymore :D. You may end up bumping the walls, knocking yourself out, or covered in shower curtain :o. I wasn't too crazy about the placement of the wall bottles of shower gel and shampoo/conditioner - a little too low. The room wasn't too far from a set of elevators. There was a crew area across from our cabin door. There wasn't much noise coming from this area except for the last night when luggage collection was going on, but really the noise wasn't bad and didn't last too long into the night. Since it was a forward cabin, it was quite a walk to and from the buffet, but that can be a good thing :-) .

E229 A bit far forward, but good view over the lifeboat.  Read entire member review.
We had an obstructed view cabin (Category FF) on the Emerald deck. Our cabin number was E415 and it is exactly in the middle of the ship, directly above the shops. It is right next to the middle elevators, but we didn't hear any noise from the elevators or people waiting for them. Even though the cabin is supposed to have a "fully" obstructed view, that was really not the case. We had ZERO obstruction outside our window, unless you were on top of the window and looked down. Then, you could see a landing and some of the Promenade deck. We had no problems seeing the water below or the islands from our window. A big "knock" against this room was that at random times there would be a LOUD metal clanging coming from outside. It happened quite a bit in the early morning and was quite disturbing. Also, we had the air conditioning set to the lowest level throughout the cruise, and mid-day the temperature was a bit warmer than we would have liked. Other times it was comfortable, but you could never really say it ever got cold in the room. The room was laid out well, and we had plenty of storage space. I definitely liked the large space to hang things up. The bed was definitely firm as stated by many, and we had a hard time getting restful sleep. The bathroom was extremely well laid out, but the shower was tiny. I'm a pretty big guy and it was definitely claustrophobic. Plus, the shower head was at my neck level, so I had to do a limbo-like act to wash my hair. The room had a refrigerator in which we stored our own stash.  Read entire member review.
