Great regular balcony cabin. Forward end of ship so long walk to dining. Convenient to fitness area, spa, theater and casino however. Is high and in front so was worried about movement on "high sea" days. Was not too bad as this ship had great stabilizers. Cabins were thoroughly cleaned, but since our cabin steward had 19 cabins without a helper, it often took hours for the room to be made up. Shower and bathroom is too small. Open closet is too big. Could have designed it better. Stateroom itself had plenty of space to move around and eat in the room. Bed was a bit firm. Pillows were a bit soft. Order a bathrobe through your steward. A304 Handicap Accessible - we did a paid upgrade at the last minute to get this large cabin. Balcony was much longer than regular BC cabin. Bathroom space and cabin space had room for a wheelchair to turn around. Bathroom had limited shelf & counter space. There were 8 draws for storage, plus the usual shelves in a closest and double door closet. It was close to the elevators (with earplugs) noise was minimal. Heard cabin steward's cart each morning, but I was getting up early anyway. Read entire member review. |

We really liked our cabin. Nice location and quiet and not too far from the stairs or lifts. Shower is very small - I think all the standard balcony cabins are the same. Read entire member review. |

We thought our cabin was a great size. No concerns with closet space, or bathroom. We each had two small drawers (beside the bed) for our personnel items (socks and underwear). We could hear people talking in the hall and cabin doors were allowed to close on their own and they slammed. Light comes thru from around and below the cabin door and found our night light not necessary. Read entire member review. |

Balcony Cabin - BC - A430 - very nice. Great walk-in closets. Layout was nice. Flat screen TV was set good so two people can see without one of them getting a crick in their neck :) Small balcony but nice. Read entire member review. |

Clean, but carpet fading and mattresses sagging. Good view from balcony. Typical size for balcony stateroom on cruise ship (i.e. a bit cramped). Read entire member review. |

Closet space adequate -but not really a closet - hanger bar in the hallway/bathroom way too small, minimal storage space, no wand shower head and shower stall horribly tiny/cabin almost too small for two people - someone was always stepping aside/quiet location/no comfortable chairs/no FOX news/tired mattress-needed replacing badly/good location/ok sized balcony/ Read entire member review. |

We were on Deck 14, front of the ship on the right hand side (looking forward) and had a nice Balcony room (R259). We were just off of the elevators which was a great location, and had a completely unobstructed view. We were high enough up that we could look out over other balconies but no one could look onto ours. Plenty of closet space, but not a lot of drawer space. Bathroom/shower a bit cramped, but overall it was a great room and we were very happy with it and its location! For the ports that we went to, this was the water side of the ship, not the port side of the ship which didn't allow us the opportunity to see the ports as we came into them .... but we loved just looking at and watching the water so, we really didn't care either way. Smaller than usual for a balcony, but adequate for 2 people, would not have been for 3.
Great location to reach buffet dining and pool areas. It is on deck 14 and aft near a small adult only pool. Balcony was covered with 2 comfortable chairs. Closet was large and formed a dressing area near the bathroom and has a large mirror on the wall. Drawer space was small but there were ample hangers. Great views on port side of ship. Aloha 634. Close to the guest laundry and the elevators, but far enough away so you could not hear any of the associated noise. It was directly across the from the crew elevators and was noisy on luggage days. They even had to put special padding up around the door to reduce the banging on the walls. We stayed in R235, forward and high up. There was a chemical smell that is hard to describe in the hallway around R235. I complained about it to several staff, but I don't think anything was done about it because the smell stays the same for the entire cruise. I walked all over the ship and it smells only in front of our cabin. I have no idea what it was, but eventually decided to ignore it. The head in our cabin occasionally would emit this typical sewage odor. I didn't complain about this because this is pretty common in boats and ships. My mattress was clearly sagging in the middle and it was lumpy. The pillows were a little tired also. After several complaints they finally replaced my mattress with a similar one after two days. At least they tried, but I guess you are just not going to get a pillow-topped mattress with their budget. They upgraded our cabin from an outside window to this balcony cabin which we are very grateful. Talking to other pax, apparently they made several upgrades free of charge. Our balcony is small, but very pleasant and it makes you feel you are at sea. I heard many people complain about the motion of the ship. For the first two days, it was calm. The rest of the trip was more boisterous. Perhaps a lower and more centered cabin would be more steady. We were joking that the folks from Japan would have a nightmare in this cabin because at night it feels like little aftershocks. I am prone to seasickness, but for some reason the motion didn't bother me. My son complained a little of seasickness, but refused to take Dramamine. Read entire member review. |
