No Norovirus...But... by Snapper0220
Our balcony stateroom was very basic, with an uncomfortable, hard, lumpy bed and uncomfortable, flat pillows. The bathroom was closet sized, and the shower was a stand up coffin. The water temperature was continually HOT (even on cold), and the only way we found to cool it down to shower was to turn on the sink's faucet on hot. Vice versa when trying to use the sink. Our steward was very accommodating and tidied up the stateroom nicely. The stateroom location was very good and quiet.  Read entire member review.

Great Cruise but Too Cold by alabama ghost
Midship, great location right by elevators. Never heard anything outside. Terrific balcony on Caribe deck, half covered and half uncovered.  Read entire member review.

Nice quiet room, large balcony, wish there had been more comfortable furniture on the balcony  Read entire member review.

Our Cabin was a balcony on the Aloha deck. It was very clean and right in the middle of the ship. If you have never been on a cruise ship it may take a while to get use to the limited space. Bathrooms are very small but sufficient. They sit out new shampoo and lotion daily for your use. The room steward comes in and straightens up while you are gone. I am always amazed how they do it so quickly and nicely without ever disturbing you. Our room was very quite and we were not far from the elevator. I felt the closet and hanging area for clothes is more than sufficient. Smaller suitcases are better for they will fit under the bed once you get things out. I now limit what I take after years of over packing. Much better that way.  Read entire member review.

A602 Smaller than I expected after being in similar cabins on the Grand/Emerald/Sapphire. Otherwise a typical balcony cabin. The shower space is miserly and if you're significantly overweight, you probably wouldn't enjoy the experience.  Read entire member review.

We had a balcony on Baja deck which was ideal for and not too overlooked. Unobstructed views but we were overlooking people below us. The stateroom B234 was very clean and comfortable, made up 2 or 3 times per day dependent on usage.  Read entire member review.

Princess cabins are not the biggest of the cruise lines, but they do have lots of closet space - more than others - and you can store your suitcases under the bed - not so on some of the other lines. The bathrooms are quite small but for 7 days I can put up with the tiny space. The beds were more comfortable than I've had on previous cruises so I am guessing they have changed their mattress styles. Love the Egyptian sheets and duvet cover. I had the double wide balcony which was nice and the table provided was a nice size. Our cabin this trip was located foreward - starboard on Caribe deck (deck 10) - and a good mid ship location - although I prefer to be more mid ship a little more. I'm not complaining as I was given a very healthy upgrade. There was little, if any, noise.  Read entire member review.

"Spacious Wheelchair accessible cabin, but without automatic door opener which would help disabled passengers in/out the entrance." "Excellent location, near the forward elevators." "Nice large balcony."  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was C309. The shower curtain was too short at the bottom to keep the water in the shower not on the floor. I had no real issues with the cabin since I expected the small place. Good thing I'm not overweight trying to use the shower. Our balcony was great being extra big. Very Quiet.  Read entire member review.

Cabin C431: Caribe Deck Ten, mid-ship, right off the central elevators but far enough away that no noise was heard from that area. Larger balconies than many other decks. Compared to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity (our previous cruises: Celebrity was nicest cabins overall, but no major differences. Princess had 4 balcony chairs and a table. Cabin itself had just one small chair.  Read entire member review.

Quiet location with lots of wardrobe space. Like how the wardrobes seperate the cabin from prying eyes (or 'rubber necking')and make the cabin quieter. Would like there to be more seating ie a sofa as on some other lines we have sailed with. Superb balcony with more depth than most, even bigger than the mini suites. not far from lifts, but far enough not to hear them.  Read entire member review.

C522 with the double size balcony. Half is covered & below us was Dolphin deck with half the size of our balcony. 4 chairs (2 recline) & a nice table to have breakfast, lunch & dinner at if you didn't feel like the dining room. Have friends up to share the balcony if they are inside as we did. Nice size stateroom that you walk into the door and the bathroom is to the left with shower, toilet & sink. Closet is on the wall outside with plenty of hangers for 2 & it is divided in 2 also. Then the bed as a queen with the 2" twin bed up from both of us when we laid down. Then the desk with hairdryer on the wall across is the TV with refrigerator under it. Then the balcony door out to the balcony. A table for fruit bowl is there also.  Read entire member review.

Want to Go BACK!!! by Gottalove2Cruise
C534. Nice room with great balcony. Right across from some crew space. . . ,but we did not hear anything. Just a sewage smell seemed to linger in this hall area, so I don't know if a sewage holding tank is near, but EVERYONE commented about it as we all passed each other in the hall. But, no smell in the room whatsoever. Do not like how the plug in the bathroom cannot be used. It's for European current I guess so I would have to go outside the bathroom, to near the balcony to plug in my blow dryer and curling iron. This was the only thing I wasn't crazy about, but maybe they figured it was nicer to have it at the desk area so I could sit and do my hair instead of standing in the tiny bathroom. We've had a mini-suite before, the larger bathroom that accommodates the mini-suites are nice. . . but this little bathroom and shower is doable. Just don't drop your soap while showering LOL!! Felt very little rocking in this location. Slept like a baby every night even the one night we hit rough, waters with 12' waves.  Read entire member review.

Good size cabin nice closet tiny shower, good use of space. beds could be more comfy. The decor could use some sprucing up. It was quiet, except for the occasional runner, there were not a lot of little kids on the ship mainly teens.  Read entire member review.

A good sized cabin for a 14 night cruise, plenty of hanging space and one cupboard with shelves and a safe. A few drawers next to the beds and a cupboard below the desk. Storage for cases (3/4) under the bed.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows are poor (either take your own or ask for better pillows) and could benefit from a pillow menu as found on many other competitors ships. A thin Duvet and blankets provided.
The bathroom is small, like the Azura and the shower tight with only a curtain. The cabin position was quiet, except when the tenders were lowered and raised on the starboard side as the mechanism and cables were only two decks below. A good position between the midships and rear elevators, so convenient for the dining rooms and the atrium on the lower decks and pools on the upper decks.

Princess: Still the best!!!!!!!!!! by Floridadude and Modelwife
Wish there ws a volume control on the in-room speaker. Announcements at 7:00 A.M. are a little ridiculous at that volume, and could be made at a quarter the volume. Robes are always a welcome touch.  Read entire member review.

I had to leave C742 because it smelled terrible, but it did have a huge balcony, larger than the other port side Caribe deck balconies. R337 had a much smaller balcony, but with out the smoke smell and this was important. It was very noisy, if noises bother you don't book this room  Read entire member review.

We had balcony staterooms on the Lido deck at the front of the ship on the starboard side. It was amazingly quiet considering we were on the same deck as the pool and deck parties, music, etc. Ample closet space. A safe, hair dryer and small trial shampoo, conditioner and lotion were provided. The shower was like a stand-up coffin with a curtain. The room was comfortable and sometimes a lot cooler than it was outside, which was hot and humid during most of the trip. The balcony was barely big enough for the 2 chairs and small table. On the balcony, the panel below the railing was metal on the stateroom closest to the front. So, when you sat in a chair, you couldn't see the ocean. The divider between our 2 balconies could be unlocked and opened to share balconies. The rest of the rooms going back had clear panels. The bed was really firm, so we had an egg crate pad added. We should have asked for more pillows, too. They were small and not very supportive, but were very soft.  Read entire member review.

Lido deck. Felt the ship move and heard rumblings from time to time. Shower EXTREMELY SMALL. Ladies, shave BEFORE you get on board. Also watch going in and out of bathroom there is a slight ledge. Mom took a bad fall. Need something to remind people to step up when going in. Balcony, nice- but would have liked a real lounge chair to stretch out on. Beds- too hard. For the price of travel please get some new mattresses! Egg crate helped with that.  Read entire member review.

Great location. Expected noise from the sun deck above but didn't get much. Sometimes you could hear people walking above you on the sun deck but only when you were on the balcony. There was a jut out about the balcony so someone could look down onto your balcony from the sun deck. It's the 4th cabin on the port side and you are really close to the bridge. I saw the captain on the bridge several times. It's close to the front elevators but far enough away so you don't get traffic and noise.  Read entire member review.

Big closet, tiny room. Standard balcony. Dated bathroom. There was one jogger at 5:45 AM in the upper deck (Lido is 15 and 16 is open) The ship should not allow jogging at that time in the morning!!!  Read entire member review.

cabin L 242-Awesome location. So close to all the hustle and bustle of the Lido deck without the noise!! One major downside is that the door that leads to the port side cabins that is closest to this room is near the smoking section. We are non smokers and hate the smell. I would say this was a minor inconvenience.  Read entire member review.

Lido 251. Same size as all other non-suite cabins, but roomier than I imagined. Balcony was a perfect size for the delicious balcony dinner, not big enough for lounge chairs (which we didn't need or miss) Pluses: few cabins on Lido Deck so it was more private, seconds away from the Spa, gym and pools. Minuses: a hike to the self serve laundromats and an elevator ride to the dining rooms, lounges, and everything else. We never had much of a wait for an elevator, with the notable exception of the muster drill! Climbing up about 8 decks after the drill wasn't fun, but it was only once.  Read entire member review.

Lido Deck for cabin is great, as it is where all the action is though balcony is smaller than other decks. For a balcony room it was a bit small but the bathroom is the smallest we ever had for a balcony cabin (see review). Closet - very spacious but little draw space but adequate for our needs.  Read entire member review.

Very nice cabin but very close to the pool so the steel drums in the afternoon and dance bands at night could be disturbing to some. Debarcation day, we were awakened at around 6 am by the constant door banging in the hallway. Otherwise the cabin was very pleasant and comfortable. The balcony is smaller than some, but nice. I had wedding clothes and still had plenty of room for storage. I liked the walk-in closet arrangement.  Read entire member review.

the only problem I had with our cabin was the moldy smell of the shower and I told the cabin steward about it he said he put chemicals and I said the smell is still there and I requested to change the shower curtain and he did that solve the problem I wish they would always change the shower curtain for every sailing because the feeling is so gross especially when you inspect the room and shower curtain is still wet yaikkkks  Read entire member review.

Our cabin with balcony was fine, however, not comfortable to watch tv. It was high on the cabinet and hard to watch from the chairs. Expecting Princess to be exceptional, we were disappointed. We heard complaints from many other passengers who had cruised Princess before and said it didn't match up. We especially did not like the configuration of the ship. Other cruise lines have a comfortable lounge from which you can relax and see the view. Princess has used it's prime viewing space as additional profit centers. The best view on the bough is taken by a large, expensive spa and gym. (It should be a lounge) and the stern by a $10 a person charge called the Sanctuary. It was always empty and a turnoff to many passengers we talked to. There were few outside areas with shade and view so we were grateful for our balcony. The theatre is too small so shows were repeated and still could not accommodate 3,600 passengers. The large TV outside which should suck up a large number of passengers served no purpose when the temperature turned to 48 degrees, specifically the day at sea which was the only marginal weather we had. We spent it in our cabin since every inch inside was overcrowded. This ship should stay in the Caribbean for sun worshippers. The tour desk always had a line and was only open 8:00 to 10:00 and getting information from anyone was almost impossible. The buffet food was less than exceptional, however the dining rooms were generally better. The change in itinerary, cancelling Bar Harbor, turned a lot off. One day we tendered was an hour or longer wait to get a tender. It didn't seem they had enough tenders for 3,600 passengers.  Read entire member review.

We liked the balcony. Small bathroom, I don't think large people would fit. The shower is OK, but again if you are a large person a mini suite, that has a tube would be better. We did like being up on the Rivera deck great views, including all the suites on dolphin deck that are not covered. The AC will only keep the room at 72 if set and max. so bring a fan, there is a plug on the desk. The mattress is not comfortable and there was no top sheet. So we got a rubber egg crate and requested a top sheet and received those items very quickly. We also enjoyed having the aft pool on our deck and the food court one deck up.  Read entire member review.

Great closet, balcony can become very smoky with those below smoking. Good size room, well laid out bathroom acceptable for a cruise ship. Constant vibration in the bathroom (like and engine/ propellor vibration)many times this could also be felt in the room. Lots of "sea" motion, I would question whether this ship has stabilizers, or whether they were used. We are not sensitive, but could be a problem for those that are. The motion of this ship on smooth seas was greater than that of our previous cruise during a thunderstorm. We had a constant problem with children running up and down the hallway. This is not a Princess problem, just inconsiderate parents.  Read entire member review.
