Cabin 414 on Deck 6 was great. No noise, close enough to elevator, but not too far. Elevator takes you right to the back of the Lido deck!  Read entire member review.

Mid-ship location was convenient. Layout was pretty standard and met all our needs. Sometimes heard a big swishing water noise, which I can't imagine was from outside due to location, although it sounded a bit like the sloshing of water around a boat. I wonder if we were near a laundry water outlet or something else to do with the interior water system? There was also a repeated slam-slam-slam noise for about 5 minutes during our choppiest night on the ocean, but that never happened again so may have been a loose closet door. Inside cabin--Main deck Clean and very comfortable. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh. Plenty of closet space (if you run out of space on a HAL ship, you've brought too much luggage!!!!!) Cabin was quiet but I wish HAL could eliminate early morning "hallway announcements." No problem with heat or air--the cabin temperature was fine and no problems with the bathroom either.  Read entire member review.
