Cabin 373. The cabin itself was fine -- good bed, good size, etc. The bath tub was tricky -- Our shorter friends found it difficult to get in and out. Our only complaint was the location. Never again will we book a cabin that is underneath "white" space on the deck plan. The noise from the kitchen above our cabin was unreal!! Thank goodness for ear plugs!! I'll never forget the "galloping elephants, bowling alley, and furniture moving". It was awful. Read entire member review.
Categories D or DD or C on Lower Promenade are good choices for the budget-minded (which we were for this cruise). Access to Lower Promenade deck is only a few steps from the room, to be out quickly on either port or starboard side. That said, when booking it is important for us to be watchful of what is above our stateroom. Near the stern, the dining room is overhead -- no problem, it becomes quiet after dinner is over. Under the galley or show lounge would NOT work for us as those areas are busy when we want to be sleeping.
We've now had staterooms at this location both on Zaandam and Maasdam, and would not hesitate to book them again. (We've also had suites with Neptune Lounge privileges -- ah the sweet life! -- but not possible every time.) Read entire member review.
Our cabin 834 the A/C broke down one night and they brought us a fan. This was fixed first thing in the morning. Later they brought us some chocolates as a thanks for the problem. This cabin has a double window and a long couch. The TV was an older small flat panel type. The bathroom was fine and had a shower bathtub
which is always preferable. The bed was comfortable and good choice of pillows. Read entire member review.
