Two lower beds convertible to 1 queen-size bed, bathtub & shower. All DD-category staterooms have a partial sea view. All HH-category staterooms have fully obstructed views. G and H cabins may have portholes instead of windows.
The cabin had plenty of storage space. We had a tub, which if you are older could be a slight problem getting in and out of. Only negative comment would be that the handle area on the draws were on the bottom so being older that was slightly difficult. This cabin was around the corner from an elevator so that was convenient. Read entire member review.
#748 is well located on Dolphin Deck. It is quiet, hearing no noise from adjoining cabins or from above or below. People talking loudly in the hallway can be heard. Plumbing worked well. Lighting was excellent. Sofa in the room needs to be replaced; its cushions were mashed down and fabric worn in places. The safe could not be used. Its placement in the closet was too close to an adjoining wall and a credit card could not be fully run through the device that locks/unlocks the safe. Read entire member review.
Cabin was fine but had annoying problems which didn't get fixed. Shower/tub wouldn't drain unless you remover stopper. Shower head hose leaked so you got sprayed prior to entering the shower. Read entire member review.
This is the first time we have sailed without a veranda in a decade but the deck plans had me concerned as the Lanai cabins have no private balcony and the Veranda cabins looked small and were outrageously priced. Lots of reviews I looked at said this and people I talked to on the ship were disappointed in them as the cruise is not one that is suited for sitting outside due to the weather. The cabin was quite roomy though and as it is the last cabin in the price category it is arguably the best. Close to the center of the ship towards the bow and away from those very noisy rear thrusters and engines. I didn't choose main deck because those cabins have an open promenade above their heads. Cabin has a full tub and a lot of closet and drawer space. Only crazy thing is the TV that makes you sit up in bed and raise your arm to full length to change the channel because the sensor for the remote is hidden by the high shelf the set rests on. I would definitely take this room as compared to any of the Lanai rooms.
