Grand Suite - Incredible! Balconies, beds, living area, kitchen & closet area, BIG bathroom, tub & shower, double sinks. Beds are rather small (two small twins... can be pushed together.) Read entire member review. |

The layout of the room was very well thought out. Absolutely loved how tightly the door to the stateroom shut, with no light under it. Less light = less noise from the hallway. Spacious balcony, fantastic amount of storage space. The new couch in the GS rooms when pulled out to a bed is wonderful. So much better than the "old school" spring matress. The room could use a table with 2 chairs. There is plenty of space for that. Especially when you want to eat in your room.
The only negative I have is with all cruise ships and hotels who insist on putting the beds back to back with the room next door. I was on a cruise ship who had the beds face the balcony and what a difference it made. It was less noisy because the beds were not touching the wall between the two staterooms. This was our first Grand Suite and it was on the hump next to the royal suite. don't think the balcony was much bigger than the junior suite we had on Mariner which was also on the hump. Two chairs with a small round table and a lounge chair, no room for any more. Convenient to the concierge lounge, just across the ship. Lots of closet, drawer space and a great bathroom, however, my wife thinks the counter is a little high for her - she's 5 ft 1 in tall. Read entire member review. |

Room 1536 is a Grand Suite. It is located under the Solarium adult pool so there is some noise from chairs moving across the deck above. In rough seas, there is a heavy metal rattle that sounds like some sort of loose tie rod between 1536 and 1534. Room itself is quite spacious. Bathroom is large w/ tub-shower. Lots of hanging closet space; not a lot of drawer space. Has queen bed w/ 2 chairs and sleeper sofa. Balcony is the width of the room w/ a table, 2 chairs and a lounge chair. There is one door to balcony on one side of room; the other side is a window the size of the door. Read entire member review. |

The Grand Suites are under the pool deck. I did not hear any noise, but you cannot look up because of the deck overhangs. The room was clean, but some of the brass bathroom fixtures look as if they are getting worn. The door to the balcony was next to near impossible to open from the outside as there was no handle only a little finger pull. Read entire member review. |
