Cabin 4016. Plenty of room for 2. Close to fwd elevators. Large balcony with 2 chairs, ottoman and table. Shower and tub. Quiet. Small TV and when a program was shown in letterbox format, the picture was very small. 3 closets, safe, vanity with 2 outlets. We were very comfortable in this cabin and the attendants took very good care of us.
This cabin is 194 square feet, and has a pull-out sofa bed. The verandah is nice and has two chairs, a small table and a footrest. There is a mirrored wall headboard. The décor is slightly garish (orange and brown). The bed is comfy and medium firm with lots of pillows. The first night (leaving from Seattle in September), we could not get the air conditioner to cool enough to keep us comfortable (cabin 7004), and we were told that we could not leave our verandah door open. This made for a miserable night for me. The air conditioner never got truly cold, but the outdoor air got somewhat cooler, so I enjoyed the rest of the cruise. Smoking IS permitted on verandahs and the smoke wafts freely from one verandah to another. This cabin was quiet: little noise from passersby and no noise from entertainment venues. I liked the bathroom, and the dispensers in the shower to shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Unfortunately, the smell of these was somewhat strong and I am almost certain they are not hypoallergenic.
The room was nice, but a little on the compact side. The stewards kept it clean and we were well supplied with ice as requested. We had a lovely view of the full moon and sunsets from our balcony and even from our balcony doors. I usually sat inside in one of the comfortable chairs and only went on the balcony for photos, and the full length doors made the views look nearly the same as sitting on the balcony. We had a good location near the aft elevators. We were not bothered by noise either from the lido eating area above or the stairs and elevators nearby, and we usually went to be early by about nine o'clock.
