5002 is a handicap cabin on the port side only 120 feet from the bow. It is nice and large, but does take a little getting used to with the handicap fixtures. This really is not much of a problem though. Being right up in the front of the ship there is more motion than you would have back towards the center so you must take that into consideration if you mind the motion of the sea. Our cabin was 6063, catagory SY. It was great! Big room, big balcony with 2 chairs and a real table plus 2 chairs with ottomans. Tons of storage. A safe and locking drawers. Well insulated. We didn't hear anything from the hallway or the neighbors. If someone was on the balcony, and the door was closed, you could not hear them talking. The bathroom was big too! Double sinks a jetted bathtub with a shower plus a seperate shower. The bed was bigger than a queen size! Comfortable bed and nice bedding. The couch bed was NOT comfortable. felt the springs and it was not level. I do not recommend someone sleeping on it. It was actually more comfortable sleeping on it as a couch than a bed. Great location - the quietest we have ever been in. Very spacious. Two minor maintenance problems (one of two shower heads would not stay in position) and a screw kept falling out of the bathroom door - hardly serious! Read entire member review. |

The superior suites on HALs Vista ships are to me the best value at sea.
Great bathrooms and lots of storage space. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 6069 - starboard - SY category. Lovely cabin -- good size but had coffee table and one easy chair removed as it was rather crowded. Great mid-ship location about halfway from Mid-ship elevators. Big bathroom with separate shower and twin sink vanity with medicine cabinets on each side. Plenty of storage -- lots of drawers which we didn't always need. Balcony had table, 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs with ottomans. Husband could ride his scooter through door with no problem. Very comfortable bed and lovely linens.
Very quiet but we could hear some muted noise from our neighbors sometimes. ( Very comfortable for 30 days. Read entire member review. |

We were in SY6069. It was a wonderful room. The whirlpool bath tub was wonderful and the separate shower was very nice. The double sink gives lots of room in the bathroom with ample storage space. They changed the towels all the time, which I like, because it can be complicated to track when the towel was used, or whose towel, etc. They had lots of chairs and the couch inside the cabin so you didn't have to end up sitting on the bed, until it was time for bed. The balcony was nice as well. Instead of the loungers there are wicker chairs with foot rests. We thought it was fine, although some would probably prefer the loungers. They cleaned the balcony regularly which was good, to get rid of the build-up of salt from the day/night before. Lots of closet space, which is great for hanging up clothes and lots of storage underneath the bed so the suitcases could be out of the way. Location was great. Nice and quiet. The boat does not dock on that side, at least for our stops, so it was usually very private balcony. Overall, excellent room, definitely would stay in one like this again. We were in Category SY 6070 and loved the room. It was just a few doors away from the central elevators at mid ship. Balcony was large, storage aplenty, separate tub and shower. Not too noisy. Read entire member review. |

We had SY 6072 and it was our favorite cabin ever. It was approximately 300 sq. ft. with a big balcony. We had our son in the cabin and there was plenty of room. The bathroom had a separate shower and tub, which helped with our son, along with double vanity. Read entire member review. |

Great cabin centrally located in mid-ship. Nice big bathroom with separate tub and shower. Seems to be an area where families with children are placed, and can be noisy on balcony or in the hallway, but the rooms seem to be pretty well insulated from noise. Read entire member review. |

Our cabin was larger (384 square feet) than on our previous 2004 Westerdam cabin (254 square feet) when we sailed the western Mediterranean. Plus, we were on one deck higher. And like on the previous cruise, we had a nice large verandah. Our cabin had air conditioning, bottled water, comfortable king-size bed with four pillows (actually two single beds placed together, with room to place your suitcases under) with two night stands, safe, bathroom amenities, bathrobes, hair dryer, three chairs, small coffee table, two desks with eight drawers, three closets, toilet, bath and shower, a separate shower, two sinks, fresh fruit, etc. Both 110 and 220 volts electrical outlets. HAL previously provided a special luggage tags containing our cabin number and our luggage arrived in our cabins before we did.

Great location overlooks both Juneau and Ketchikan when docked as well as Margerie Glacier. Excellent side of the ship to be on. Quiet & away from the elevators. No room across from this cabin - love that. Nice size. Would ONLY cruise Alaska with a veranda. The jetted tub was awesome - wish the water had been hotter. Read entire member review. |

The cabin was absolutely fabulous. After having our room steward remove one of the three side chairs, the cabins layout was extremely functional with more than enough room for two. We particularly liked the desk that had a window overlooking the balcony and the two sinks in the bathroom. The bathroom had both a full size tub and a shower stall, which came in handy one night when we were rushed getting ready for dinner. The shower stall was a bit cramped though, and we normally took showers in the tub. The balcony, though not as big as those on the stern, was deeper than the balconies on standard veranda cabins. There was ample room for a large dining table with two chairs, two chairs with ottomans, and a small side table. The balcony furniture was faux wicker and was much better than the furniture provided on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The partitions between balconies were also better than what we have seen on the other lines. They extended a bit further over the railing and had no seams that you could see through. We always take verandah room. First time Verandah suite.
Very cosy, large bathroom (2 sinks, whirlpool bath plus separage shower).
Large balcony (app. 4 x 10). Flat screen TV- 22 inches.
Unlike other cruise companies, H-A does not have your account on TV. If you want to know how much you have spent at any moment, you have to go to reception. Read entire member review. |
