Aloha 401 on the Caribbean Princess was a great midship location. Close to the panoramic elevators without being too close.  Read entire member review.
Balcony room had a very nice closet, tiny shower that you can barely fit in, and I am a small person, but the shower curtain touches you (yuk), hallways seemed very noisy with doors slamming a lot.  The balcony  was small 2 chairs and little end table, but was covered and private.  Read entire member review.
Large, spacious wheelchair accessible cabin on Deck 12 near forward elevators, lot of storage space, nice balcony.  Read entire member review.

the balcony room was great. We really enjoyed being on the 12th floor and sitting on the balcony

Great location -- near aft and mid-ship elevators. Open closet area easy to access & no sliding doors which can be a pain. Had the fold down bed for the third person -- it was comfortable & we had it put up during the day.  Read entire member review.
A410: Fairly centrally located balcony on Port side. I felt Port was great for views. On Aloha deck. Closet big and storage sufficient and we had three of us using it. Used the Pullman bed for our 25 year old daughter and she thought it was fine. Bottom two beds had to be in twin configuration though to fit ladder. So my DH and I slept "Ricky and Lucy" style. Room was quiet, but wished the AC could go cooler at night.  Read entire member review.
- It seems to be a general comment throughout this ship: The mattress was awfull. - Hallway too noisy (and it's close to the elevator) - Balcony is great since it's covered from the rain (two levels up)  Read entire member review.
had a balcony cabin, was smaller than the equivalent on the RCCL. but it was big enough. shower stall was very small, DH, who is 6' had a bit of hard time, even I,5'3" hit my head quite alot on bars in it. plenty of closet & storage space & hangers. the cover on bed was worn & had small holes in it, so turned it around so holes were on the bottom of bed. balcony was nice, chairs were comfy. unfortunately, had very noisy neighbors next door, turning the TV on at 4:30am & must have been hard of hearing cause was blasted. then was always out on their balcony, and wife talked non-stop,in loud voice using foul language. so didn't get to use ours much, but that's the chance you take.  Read entire member review.
Balcony room was fine for the two of us. We liked having a refrigerator that we could put our stuff in. I loved the open closet set up. Shower stall is small and needs more built in shelves. Location of this cabin was perfect for us. Did not seem like a long walk from anywhere. When the ship sits in port in the sun and the cabin curtains are open the A/C can not keep it cool. You must close the curtains to keep cabin cool. A couch would have been nice but I would not sacrifice the fridge for it.  Read entire member review.

My Husband (51) and I (45) sailed out of Brooklyn on the Caribbean Princess on June 11th. This was our fifth cruise together and our first with Princess. We have sailed before with NCL (Sun and Spirit), Holland America (Noordam) and Royal Caribbean (Explorer).

Embarkation was a breeze - much better then embarkation in Cape Liberty, Bayonne.  The Terminal was very easy to get to and parking was right there. Arrived at the terminal at 11:30 and were in our stateroom by 12:15. It did take a few hours for our luggage to come, it didn't actually appear until we had sailed, but it was all there and that's what counts!

We had a balcony cabin (A614). It was clean and relatively comfortable with plenty of storage space with a closet that was very nearly the entire width of the stateroom. Wilson, our room steward was terrific and very pleasant to deal with. A couple of negatives - teeny, tiny bathroom with a shower that had no room to move around in (you had to shut the water off to soap up). Also, the cabin was about half way between midship and aft on deck 12 and I was surprised I could feel vibration (especially when leaning back on the headboard of the bed when reading), I didn't think that would be an issue in this location.

I purchased the coffee card and in my opinion it was well worth it, I really enjoyed the cappuccino. I did feel that the staff working the coffee counter could have made an effort to be a little more personable. I left an additional tip at the end of the cruise but I would have left twice that amount and been more particular about who received it if anyone there had left a more positive impression.  Still the coffee was good, the service wasn't bad and the International Cafe overall is a nice touch.

We found the food on board to be quite adequate even though some things were a little hit or miss (this included desserts but the hard ice cream was always delicious!). While my husband enjoyed the fish and chips at the "Pub Lunch" early in the week he did not enjoy the same meal in the dining room (as a second entree!) a couple days later. Some of the themed dinners in the Caribe Cafe were not what I would consider authentic ethnic cuisine. That being said, we never went hungry. If we didn't like one dish we could always find another that was more to our taste.

Random observations - Pool chairs were not hard to find unless you wanted one in the shade. We did not use the Sanctuary but they did allow us to go in and take a look around, very pretty but very windy. Couldn't get near the Spa Pool but lucked out at the Terrace Pool. Doubled my money playing Black Jack in the casino, on the "smoke free" nights it was a pleasant place. My husband was very disappointed with the promenade deck, it is very narrow all along its length as well as being continued via a staircase on the next deck up and not condusive to a good walk. We did not go to any shows but the MUTS was fun. The stinky cheese in the Vine Bar in the Piazza during the evenings really needs to go, the smell was awful and everyone kept looking around to see who the culprit was!

We did not take any shore excursions through the cruise line but enjoyed each port. Bermuda was new for us. We went to Hamilton (felt like I missed something here), Horseshoe Bay beach and Church Bay beach, both of which were very nice though Horseshoe Bay was a little crowded. You can definitely use the public transportation here, it is very easy to navigate and well worth the price. On Puerto Rico we took a taxi to Isla Verde which is a lot like Miami Beach. The beach was clean and the water nice though not as clear as some other Caribbean Islands. Rented chairs and an umbrella and took a nice walk. Taxi's are there to take you back whenever you are ready ($20 each way per load).  Shopped in Old San Juan in the evening - Silver Planet is a wonderful store on Calle Forteleza, lovely silver jewelry with amber, larimar and other stones. Reasonable prices and great service. From St Thomas we took the ferry over to St John and enjoyed a beautiful day at Trunk Bay, the snorkeling, as usual, was the best. We went to Governor's Beach on Grand Turk, it was very nice. The water was so clear I didn't want to get out. A $3 taxi ride there and a nice walk back (mostly along the beach) was well worth it if you want to get away from the crowd at Margaritaville.

While disembarkation was a bit of a hassle - too many people doing the express walkoff and not enough staff to direct everyone - we were off the ship and in the car on our way home by 8:20am.

Overall it was a wonderful cruise with the calmest seas we have ever sailed.  The Caribbean Princess is a beautiful ship and very well maintained.  I would definitely consider sailing her again. For those of you worried about the negative reviews - while nothing is ever perfect and yes some things may have slipped recently, we are all responsible for our own attitude and ultimately how good a time we choose to have. Happy cruising.

Tiny bathroom, good size balcony. Small room Great view and close to laundry room. Quiet on the whole.  Read entire member review.
Big, perfect, quiet, great view. Everything was perfect.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was small in comparison to other lines. The closet, however, was the largest closet we have ever had. I did, however, miss a love-seat or couch. The bathroom was incredibly small - taking a shower was a challenge. There weren't enough shelves in the bathroom or shower to hold much of anything. Fortunately, I had a door hanger which helped hold most of my toiletries. Even though the size of the cabin was small, we were able to get around adequately without tripping over things and we had plenty of storage for 2 people. We had a small, empty refrigerator and flat-screen TV which was nice. I did miss the interactive TV where you could book shore excursions, order room service, and view your shipboard account in your stateroom. However, stateroom movies were exceptional. We sailed with 5 others and all 3 of our cabins were lined up in a row. Our travelling companions were told by both Princess and our TA they could get a roll-away for a third person in their room. A roll-away is impossible in this cabin category as there is no floor space other than the closet. They had to use their upper bed. It was nice that we were able to open up an access door between all 3 balconies - we would have liked full access, though, to have had more space. We all spent a lot of time on the balconies. Next time I think we'll try the mini-suite for the additional space.  Read entire member review.
Cabin A735 on the Caribbean Princess. Quiet Location, great access to the rear pool and horizon court buffet restaurant. Not to near the stairs and elevators but close enough. Balcony is adequate for 2 people to sit on, but not eat room service on. Closet is brilliant, very large. Storage space very good, plenty of it. Bathroom is small but the smae as most Princess ships. I really do not like the shower curtain in the shower it sticks to you. This need a door. Hallway was quite and not near and crew doors.  Read entire member review.
Pretty Nice by snafyensid
Lots of room. Bathroom has roll in shower. Good size balcony, but may not be accessible for motorized scooters.  Read entire member review.
Caribe Deck 10 cabin C303 was a large wheelchair cabin double the size of a regular cabin with a double long balcony. We were on the starboard side and I think I would have preferred the port side. When you were docked there was nothing to see but the sea. A couple of days while at sea there was a terrible sewage smell and were unable to use the balcony.  Read entire member review.
Fun Cruise by nooner59
Room C434 was adequate in every way, if not as plush as similar cabins on H-A and Oceania, for about the same price. Balcony furnished with cheap-o but serviceable loungers and table. We had the noisy neighbors who seemed to be quite pugnacious with one another. Lots of door-slamming and cursing, heard every word y'all. Door-slamming actually made our room rattle, enough to wake me up the first night and try to figure out what was going on, if we had hit an iceberg or something. Location amidships, pretty convenient to stairs. Otherwise, the ship was generally quiet and essentially motion-free.  Read entire member review.
Great Closet. Shower a little tight. Room nice size and enjoyed the desk and refrigerator  Read entire member review.

Good room. No problems

Standard balcony cabin had a dividing wall between sleeping area which created a separate dressing area/clothes storage area next to bathroom. We liked the organization of this design. On deck 15 which is very convenient to most activities. Top level of balcony's with a overhang from the sports deck above.

The cabins and bathroom are smaller than average compared to ships in this category.  Read entire member review.
The position of the room was good from the part that it was quiet. It was at the end of the all and the last room.  Read entire member review.
Closet space good. Bathroom small, especially the shower. No space for soap, shampoo, conditioner. Very tight for a tall person. Shower head not adjustable. Water temperature varied. Mattress uncomfortable. Large depression in middle meaning it was worn. I have a bad lower back and was uncomfortable. Cabin steward helped with mattress pad. Wish people would hold their doors when entering or leaving cabin and the people above you did not walk so hard. Balcony was small but was okay.  Read entire member review.
No issues. The cabin is okay for two people. The balcony was nicely situated. It was not noisy in our area. The steward did a good job.  Read entire member review.
Simple basic decor was a bit boring. Lots of room for hanging up clothes. Very quite in spite of being close to the elevator lobby and just below the buffet area. Bathroom was older design and the sink need caulk, but overall the cabin was clean. The balcony offered great view and the handrail was nicely varnished. No sign of rust in the exterior paint work around the balcony area.  Read entire member review.
A602 The balcony rooms overall seem a bit small, but the location of this cabin is nice! We had no problems with our room. It is in a quiet location. There was ample closet space with plenty of wooden hangers for our clothes. There was also ample storage throughout the room, so it was easy to store things out of the way. The shower is tiny! I am not a large person and moving around was difficult. The shower curtain also doesn't fit quite right and we found we needed extra linens to dry the floor.  Read entire member review.
