Mid-Ship Balcony Cabins 69 Reviews
These mid-ship staterooms can accommodate up to three guests, with two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and a convertible sofa in some to sleep one more. They also include a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony. Because these are mid-ship staterooms, you'll have easy access to everything on board.

Average size, nice layout, 13" TV needs to go.  Read entire member review.

Very little drawer space, but although cabin was smaller than most they used the space well and never felt cramped.  Read entire member review.

comfortable stateroom, enough closet space, nice balcony, comfortable bed, a fridge would have been great.  Read entire member review.

Balcony cabin workable for three, would have been great for two! Bathroom the biggest we have experienced.  Read entire member review.

The Shower/wash room wasn't as clean as we would have liked (or expected). There was quite a lot of staining in the grouting tiles and some tiles were broken. Generally as you look around the washroom you can tell it's not had a good clean in a long time. Also there was dust evident around where the TV sits which again indicated that it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I don't know if this is because the turnaround time is so quick. We wiped it down in the end. The lining of the curtains also had quite a lot of marks/stains and the tie backs were broken so you could not use them. I think our general impression was a lack of maintenance. Balcony is small just enough room for two chairs and a very small table. Table had some stains; we cleaned it in the end, but does the job at the end of the day of some outdoor space... Our room attendant was good, but I would avoid this room again as he sets up his cleaning cart outside so there was often noise, and also it is adjacient/above the main entrance/exit at Barcellona where they play loud welcoming music.  Read entire member review.

Adequate square footage, large closet with at least 15 hangers and several corner shelves, locked safe, 2 robes for use, extra drawer space on the corner credenza, space for bags under the bed, king sized bed when mattresses are together, separate shower, lavatory, and toilet areas. Great thermostat control and wonderful balcony. Just enough for two.  Read entire member review.

great bathrooms, balcony a little small to say the least, we would like a little better TV viewing in the cabin, but everything else was fine.  Read entire member review.

Awesome location,on dock side in Costa Maya, Guatemala, and New Orleans. You have a great view of the pilot hopping on the ship outside of Costa Maya. Very quiet location, but as with the other rooms on the Spirit, it was very small and dated. This room is a connecting room with the room next door, so beware of how loud you are as you can hear conversations through the connecting door.  Read entire member review.

Average size, obvious wear and tear to bathroom including deterioration of paint (possibly rust?) around the doorway. Balcony fine for two people!  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was 9128. Great location...a short walk from the mid ship elevators. The bathroom was fine for me but a little tight for a big man. The balcony was small but still had 2 chairs and a small table.  Read entire member review.

Loved Norwegian by BiloxiRed
Balcony cabin a bit smaller than other balcony cabins I've had due to the two feet or so that are removed from the cabin and added to the bathroom for the sliding door that separated the toilet area. I think I'd rather the space be in the cabin as we never closed that door even thought we were two ladies sharing. All in all the cabin was nicely appointed and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Hey, all cruise lines - We need the Weather Channel in our rooms! I've never had this and it's always something guests are wondering about weather back home for travel.  Read entire member review.

Bier Garten....no Biergarten by mississippimark
We stayed in 9132, a balcony cabin just behind the mid-point of the ship. We had cabins both above and below us, so there was no noise from the other decks. I have made the mistake of staying below the kitchen once and a disco another time....it pays to pay attention, believe me!! The cabin was a bit crowded, but we didn't spend a lot of time there anyway. It was nice to be able to leave the balcony door open and hear the sounds of the sea at night.  Read entire member review.

The room was quiet, in a great location (near the aft stairs and elevator, but far enough away), plenty large for 2 people, enough storage space for 2, the bed(s) was comfortable, loved the balcony.  Read entire member review.

Really nice decor - the arched opening above the sliding door just adds some class. However, slightly less storage space than other NCL ships we have been on. Very efficient design to make the best possible use of the space.  Read entire member review.

Our balcony cabin was adequate. While smaller then other balcony cabins we have had, with less drawer space and limited seating except the bed, there was room under the bed for our suitcases. The cabin appeared cleaner then some we have been in. The bathroom was a good configuration and with the exception of the shower floor tiles, clean and attractive. The shower had a glass door rather then the "stick to our backside" shower curtain that most have. The shower temp was "set and forget," and pressure was great. The balcony was very small and the large amount of paint chips covering the deck remained there the entire trip. Problems with the bathroom were our major cabin issue. The shower drain clogged. The toilet would not flush and even after repair had delays of up to two minutes after pressing the flush button. Water in sink ran brown while brushing teeth one day (a medical officer assured me "it won't hurt you"). The room and hallways smelled bad the entire trip. The sink also drained slowly until my husband pulled out the plug and adjusted a nut and screw. Minor cabin problems included: the telephone, which needed replacing. Its keys stuck and no instruction cover or key identification was on phone. Safe buttons were worn down and illegible, requiring a visit by a ship's officer to ID keys noted on instructions. Our TV's cable had a ruined connector that kept falling out, and it displayed interference from a battery-operated fan. We needed a foam bed pad for the very hard bed; the stewards got us one overnight. A steward left wet towels on bed, leaving a soggy mess. In the head, soap and shampoo dispensers were left empty on the same day. The sitting area between the bed and the balcony had an upholstered upright (dinner table) chair, a wobbly coffee table, and a settee that opens to a third twin. A desk with one shallow drawer, sat under a large mirror with sidelights adequate for makeup. The balconies are small, but had two comfortable mesh chairs and a floor-tile size table. The teak rail (in need of sanding and a fresh coat of polyurethane) mounts at a comfortable height above a thick glass safety plate instead of metal rails or wires. The overhead of the balcony needed rust relief and some paint of its own.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 9578. Grade BB Balcony Cabin. Great! Very quiet location. Perhaps, next time, I would choose one a little nearer to the elevators but we had no complaints whatsoever.  Read entire member review.

Never having been on a cruise before I did not know what to expect for a cabin. The cabin was great. I am a fussy person and I had no issues with this cabin. Space was big enough for a king sized bed and a 3/4 couch/futon, desk, chair and built in dresser. Closet space was great, lots of hangers and my husband discovered that the suitcases fit under the bed - great discovery as that left lots of room in the closet for shoes, backpacks and parcels. The bed was super comfortable. The balcony - everyone says it is small. I found it fine. I used it every morning and every evening to have my coffee and fresh air break on. I don't know why people want a large balcony - for the 15 mins a day you spend on it, why do u need it any larger? The ship provides lots of space for sunbathing, quiet rooms, etc. For me the balcony was great. Bathroom was fantastic. You walked in to the sink area, on the right with a sliding door was the toilet and on the left with a sliding door was the shower. It was a good size. Our location mid-ship/balcony was quiet. Rarely heard hall noises and definitely heard no noise from other rooms. We were across from a small crew area but again no noise what so ever.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was alwasy clean--a fine steward provided attentiion--cute towel animals were created during out trip--Our balcony was nice, but a bit small. We had enough room for all of our clothes and accessories as you could put yoru empty bags under your bed. The room had a very nice shower with space. Great beds and fine water. Basically very fine rooms, but naturally we all would love more space on ships, but our room was more than adquate.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was small but with careful planning it won't seem so bad. Bathroom has three areas. To the right is a small area for the toilet, has a sliding tour. The middle area was the sink with a little shelving for toiletries and to the right was the shower with a removable shower head. The balcony was small but fine for two people any more then that you might have to do some shuffling to get around. Only one night stand in the room. Couch was right next to balcony if you needed it for a bed you might have trouble going out to the balcony. The TV was a flat screen. Closet was perfect for the two of us.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was 9610. This is a mid-ship balcony cabin. Plenty of room for two people. I especially like the sliding glass shower door instead of the clingy curtains.  Read entire member review.

Small balcony, barely room for two adults. We had adjoining cabins, which have a connceting door you can open between the two, but their is no connecting door between the balconies. A pair of pliers and the removal of six bolts takes care of that, but freaked out the wife, and she made me put them back. Beds were nice, lots of storage space, and the bathroom area is split into three, commode, shower, and sink, separated by sliding doors. Tv is still the old 13 tube type, and does not offer interactive service  Read entire member review.

This cabin had a queen bed and one nightstand, small couch, desk and deskchair. It could be tight at times. The closet and storage shelves were ample. The balcony was fine and it sure made the room feel bigger. The bathroom was the best part. It was divided into 3 sections. One side was a tiled shower with removable showerhead and a sliding door to close it off from the center section that contained the sink and some shelving. The other side had the toilet with a sliding door. The shower section was much larger than the shower stalls you usually get in standard cabins.  Read entire member review.
