Beautiful Alaska by zetaome

This was our first time sailing in a balcony cabin, and while it was spacious, the location of the beds made it seem a bit tiny! There was very little room between the two beds! I did enjoy having a sofa in the room and there was more than enough storage for all of things. The balcony had two chairs - one that could recline slightly and a small table. It was quite nice. The room itself was very clean and well-kept and super quiet. The only time I ever heard the neighbours was when we were on the balcony. Inside the room, all was quiet!

3 nice sized closets, extended balcony with nice view (lifeboats below you), easily accessible to 2 elevators (front end or mid ship), quiet location.  Read entire member review.

Loved the extra room of the extended balcony  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was 7193. Mid ship on starboard side. It is not huge but there is plenty of room. There were 2 closets and a third with shelves. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean also. I highly recommend the extended deck - it is great when you want some peace and quiet rather than going up on the public decks. Our room steward Greg was very attentive and saw to our needs very efficiently.  Read entire member review.

Cabin: We had an extended deck balcony 7227. James, our cabin steward, did a fine job keeping the room clean and well stocked. The only issue with the cabin is that it was cold the first and the last sea day. I asked the cabin steward what we can do about it and he offered blankets. He said there was no heat and I believe him. My wife likes a warm room so I put towels in the air conditioning vents to reduce the breeze. I also used a piece of tape to hold the hair dryer switch to the on position. I would run the hair dryer every so often to help warm up the room.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was quiet, easily accessible to all the happenings. The balcony is considered premium and it was significantly larger than the standard balcony.  Read entire member review.

Very large balcony. Could occasionally hear ice machine in the crew space when in the bathroom.  Read entire member review.

Lots of hidden storage. Could hear chairs being dragged over our heads. Accommodated the 4 of us quite comfortably.

8156. Good cabin. Bathroom is on the small side. Comfortable beds, decent sized balcony, plenty of storage. Outside wall creaked at night with the wind and motion of the ship. You can hear the deck furniture being set up above you. Level 7 would be a better option.  Read entire member review.

Plenty of storage, nice extended balcony. No cabins opposite. Great midship location and convenient to lido deck.  Read entire member review.

Great extended balcony. Moderate amount of noise from deck above, especially on balcony. Not a great choice for a light sleeper.  Read entire member review.

Typical cabin interior - fine for our needs. Extended balcony was nice but not necessarily worth extra cost to us.  Read entire member review.

NEW YEAR'S MIRACLE! by dcruisers
Cabin 8184 has an extended balcony one floor down from the Lido deck. It is under midship pool and near elevators. We loved being by the elevators but don't pick this area due to noise above!  Read entire member review.

Consider getting a balcony cabin. The views are wonderful and this cabin was high on the ship which made getting around very easy.

Close to food & elevators, decent size cabin, slightly larger balcony than normal, didn't need the sofa, closet location interferes with cabin door  Read entire member review.

This cabin is for handicapped people. We got it last minute. We wanted it for its balcony that was three times as long as the normal ones! The cabin is also larger and the restroom was gigantic compared to normal ones. This cabin is directly underneath a galley so be prepared to hear bangs and other loud noises as early as 4AM! We complained but it didn't make a difference. Usually there is a lot of sunshine coming into the cabin. This cabin has less sunshine because the balcony door is not in front of the bed (it is in front of the restroom).  Read entire member review.

The room itself was half awesome and half a problem. My review might not help you since it seemed we got a jack of all trades kind of room. Giant bathroom for a handicapped person, but the bed was like two fancy cots put together. The pillows were probably real nice if you sleep on your back, but I sleep on my side and literally felt kind of choked trying to use it. Usually when four pillows are in a hotel bed, 2 are soft and 2 are firm, but these were all basketball shaped marshmallows. We saw an advertisement on the TV that the towels, and bathrobes were for sale and we were considering it. But then the mattresses and bedding were for sale too and we both burst out laughing. The TV itself also was like someone had the turned the brightness all the way down and there was no way to fix that. Not that we watched much TV, but some people might like to not miss shows or feel at home for a night. But the balcony is where we spent most of our time in our room, because what we got was exactly what we wanted there.  Read entire member review.

We had a mid-ship extended balcony, but honestly we were too far from the elevators.

Great cabin, plenty of space for two adults, and a small child with the sleep sofa. Plenty of closet space, and sofa has two drawers underneath (contains linens and blankets for sleep sofa but can be removed by Steward if needed). Comfy beds, and A/C worked great. Balcony cannot see straight down to the pier, but can see all sites pulling in and out of port, etc. Two chairs and small table on balcony. Bathroom clean, and as to be expected size. No noise from crew or neighbors, and great location to get around ship or to and from elevators.  Read entire member review.

We had an 8K (extended balcony) mid ship on Deck 7 Starboard side. It was a great location: close to the elevator, the buffet and it was quiet. Cabin was spacious with lots of closet space and a good sized bathroom. Bathrobes were included. Bed was very comfortable.  Read entire member review.
