Personal butler services - excellent and attentive -
Layout and amenities - very good.
As stated previously - I believe QM2 would benefit from in-room entertainment systems of the ilk used by modern airlines such as Emirates and Cathay.

Very large comfortable cabin with plenty of storage space, located on 5 Deck about three-quarters of the way aft on the ship. Twin beds combine to form a king bed, which was comfortable - but there is a noticeable divide in the middle with an uneven surface. Nice bed linen and duvet. Good lighting throughout. Flat screen TV with good channel variety. Wonderful sheltered "in-hull" balcony. This did not have the typical full glass railing area, but a solid metal wall under the railing. Good shelter from the wind and elements, and two comfortable adjustable chairs and small table were on the balcony. Glass wall and opening door from cabin out to the balcony. Prompt cabin service, but a few things were overlooked, such as resupplying various items, and ice bucket was not refilled after the first day - perhaps it is done on request. Bathroom has an enormous shower for a cruise ship, and good sink space. Hand-held shower head with great water pressure in shower. Dated style and colors in bathroom and cabin. Mostly very quiet, and peaceful, and no noticeable motion or vibration for being nearly all the way aft. Some corridor noise filtered in, but very rare. Towels had some faint stains on them, and were threadbare and very scratchy other than a few new washcloths. Everything appeared very clean, and smelled clean. Nice small refrigerator, with soft drinks and other items for purchase within. Plenty of drawer and closet space. Within easy walk of one major stairwell and the laundromat, yet extremely quiet. Heavy drapes and curtains keep out the light for late sleepers. I'm ready to move in for a few years! Lovely high-end British bath products are provided, as well as cosmetic items such as cotton balls and Q-tips. Very organized and detailed daily "programme" delivered each evening, and useful small pocket-size ship's map for easy orientation. Daily newspaper in miniature is also delivered daily. No announcements during the day unless it is the captain from the bridge daily at noon, and none of the usual carnival-type "barkers" making art auction and other type of announcements nonstop as with other cruise lines.

Noisy outside cabin located between elevators and "minnows" pool for children. The room was standard size (although stated deluxe balcony) with a blocked view off balcony. It was a very small balcony and afforded only two chairs not lounge chairs as shown in photos.  Read entire member review.

Near the Spa, Library and the Commodore Club [all nice]. Unobstructed balcony view. Far enough from midships [the 'metacenter' for naval architects in the audience] to magnify the ship's motion. Curtains due for cleaning. On deck 8, the CRT based TV sets were being replaced with flat screen units. I would not be surprised to find that this was completed between our cruise disembarking and the transatlantic boarding.  Read entire member review.

QM2 Disapointment by Flybywire
Cabin 11068. Excellent, roomy, spacious bathroom, great balcony, comfy bed.  Read entire member review.

Very nice an comfortable room. Best bed I ever had on a cruise ship. Double bed or two single beds. One couch and small table (height adjustable). Closet big enough also for longer cruises. Two chairs and one table on the balcony. No sun on the balcony since the 12th floor overlaps by about 2 meters (ideal if it is raining but not for those who want so sit in the sun). Then you have to choose a cabin with a lower number than 11060. Rooms are bigger than the comparable ones on Crystal ships. Room made a very new and spotless impression. English (three poles) and US sockets(2 each in the room and one each in the bathroom).  Read entire member review.

A Disappointment by barbjd106

The room we had was on deck 11. The room and its contents need updating. The furniture and carpets are worn. Sometimes we did not have hot water in the shower. The robes were frayed and looked very old. The phone is inconveniently placed on the desk with a very short connecting cord.

It seems like wasted space where some shelves or hanging knobs could have been placed.

CABIN 12007 - NOT SUITABLE FOR DISABLED PERSON AS LIFT ACCESS IS LIMITED. THE ROOM ALSO VIBRATES WHEN A MOTOR? STARTS UP AND IS VERY NOTICABLE. WHEN PEOPLE USE THE OUTDOOR SPACE ABOVE IT CAN BE VERY NOISY IF YOU ARE SITTING ON YOUR BALCONY.  Read entire member review.

Standard Balcony Cabin. Nice being up high. Quiet floor. Would have rather been on other side to see statute of liberty and NYC upon leaving. Otherwise, great cabin.  Read entire member review.

I always book an inside cabin as I like darkness when I sleep, however the bright green light on the smoke detector lit up the room. However, as the bathroom door and the wardrobe doors open on to each other, I was able to leave both doors open at a certain angle which effectively blocked out the green light. Also, the person in the bathroom would need to alert the other occupant that they were exiting so as not to hit them. The air con blows straight on to the head of the bed and can't be changed. I removed the doona insert leaving just the cover and changed the air con to warm so the air blowing on the bed wasn't cold for three weeks. There is oodles of hanging and storage space which is great. The bathroom is big enough. There's no power point. Plenty of soft, white towels. Big safe in the cupboard.
