Our first cabin had a loud banging noise below us, I contacted the front desk after the 2nd night and they took care of it. It came back the 4th day and we were moved to a very nice cabin. We were not expecting to be moved and we appreciated all the follow up we were given

We stayed in cabin #5058 which was on the veranda deck towards the front of the ship very close to the elevators. When we first walked in we thought it was really small, but once we unpacked and found how much of our stuff fit into the cabinets we were pleased. The closets had plenty of hanging space and could convert into shelving if needed. There was a safe in one of the closets too. The veranda had a good view but I would have chosen to be about 5 cabins further back because we were right next to a portion of the ship that jutted out and blocked our view. We spent a lot of our time in the Crow's Nest Lounge & library which was directly above our cabin so it was quite convenient to go between the two with our laptop and books. The only drawback to this cabin was that the shower drained very slow and our feet were in about 4 inches of water at all times.  Read entire member review.
Enjoyed the balcony immensely. Plenty of closet space. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). Middle of ship. Wonderful cabin stewards.  Read entire member review.
A dam Good Time by popndeda
The aft veranda cabin (5180) was fantastic. The balconies on the end of the ship are huge - we had two chairs, two chaise lounges and a table and still had tons of room. The king sized bed was very comfortable and we had more than sufficient space for all of our belongings.  Read entire member review.
Great cabin. Big balcony. Love the view and sound of the wake.  Read entire member review.
Great location at the back of the ship as it is easy to zip down to the Vista Dining Room or grab a quick elevator to the Lido Deck. We never hear or saw our neighbors next to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our veranda and it was huge plus sun and wind protected.  Read entire member review.

Aft veranda cabin was very nice and we particularly liked the large and wind protected balcony.  Read entire member review.
Cabin was very comfortable. The soft goods can use some replacing which is my only complaint. The location was all the way aft on the stern and extremely quiet. Balcony was awesome and completely covered - deep, wide and big enough for two loungers, two chairs and a small table. Queen bed was on the larger size for a queen which suited us just fine (and our feet did not hang over the edge of the bed, an annoyance we had on Celebrity Century). I'd book this cabin in a heart beat again.  Read entire member review.

Great cabin, very clean, cool box worked great, balcony was clean and furniture was in great shape, hallway was quiet and not too far from the elevators, had trouble one day with outlet in the bathroom and a friends hairdryer. Starboard side was the better side for viewing the glacier in Tracy Arm

The back is surprisingly pleasant! Feels private and away from the hustle-bustle. Just be aware that the terraced layout means no overhead privacy or shelter from higher staterooms, or from the top deck.  Read entire member review.
This cabin is nice and quiet as nobody walks past to get to their rooms. The room and balcony are slightly larger than the regular VA rooms and the wake view is a bonus. There is only a small amount of shade on the balcony and it gets very hot. We found the storage space to be more than adequate and did not use the additional drawers under the bed nor under the sofa.  Read entire member review.
This cabin is on Level 7 and is located at front of ship. We found it a very peaceful and quiet location with excellent cabin crew. Be prepared to walk from one end of the ship to the other to eat, however it is not far and makes you feel healthier (or a good excuse to have another drink). Excellent views and good size balcony. Storage under bed, wardrobes and under lounge.  Read entire member review.
Small "deluxe" Veranda Cabin. Once used to the size, was more than adequate. Storage helped by drawers under end of bed. Safe, refrigerator, flat screen TV. Small veranda, but nice views from there. Bed was fabulous. About five cabins back from front of ship, very little noise.  Read entire member review.
What a waste of money! by SanDiegoCuiser
7020 - great view on balcony. Front of the ship. The side you want to be on for sure. I have no complaints about the cabin other then the cold/lukewarm shower.  Read entire member review.
Rooms with balconies are the way to go; try to get a room on the 7th floor (VA).  Read entire member review.
#7032. Very convenient location. Quiet. Wonderful balcony. Small room but perfectly fine for a couple who like each other! Good closet with adequate shelving and hanging space. Small bathroom with good storage and a great shower. Great bed. Fantastically comfortable. Loved how we could access all the lights in the room from either side of the bed  Read entire member review.
A wonderful trip with HAL by sleepladypalmdesert
Nice cabin, plenty of space. Quiet. Nice balcony with adequate furnishings. Our cabin steward, Yudianto, was tops! Took wonderful care of us.  Read entire member review.
We were in cabin 7096. No problem whatsoever. It was right around the corner from the elevator and just two floors below the Lido. The bathroom was a nice size and there was a lot of storage space -- three closets and two large drawers under the bed. There was also room under the bed to store the suitcases.  Read entire member review.
a good getaway by mikeymarlin
just as expected---  Read entire member review.
Good sized balcony with two chairs, one foot stool and a tiny table. Big enough for two people to move around comfortably. Lots of closet space with fold-away shelves that customize to your needs. Drawers underneath the foot of the bed(s). Comfy bed, some wear on furnishings but not enough to detract from the overall comfort. Excellent sound-proofing and generally very quiet, though in high winds balcony dividers did rattle. Although "a problem with one of the tanks" was reported there was no smell in the bathroom only a several second delay occasionally when flushing. Given a choice I would ask for a similar cabin closer to midships for convenience sake, but would happily accept this one again.  Read entire member review.
Tight fit to access closet. Wonderful verandah free from wind although there is soot everyday.  Read entire member review.
8002 is right below the Lido pool and exercise room and across from an employee door but it was not noisy. I really liked the room for the views but it is a bit far from an elevators.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was located on Deck 8 near an entry to the bridge and below the Spa. We didn't experience any noise from the Spa and there was little if any noise in the passageway. Our bathroom was larger than on other ships and included a bathtub. There was ample storage in both the bathroom and cabin. The closet was quite large and additional storage was provided in drawers beneath the beds and couch. The verandah was larger than expected.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8018 put us far forward (5th one in from the bow) and up high (right below the Lido deck). We did not notice exceptional pitching or rolling, but then neither DW nor I am especially prone to seasickness. Thanks in part to the altitude, the views from our verandah were spectacular. The forward part of the Lido deck portside, directly above us, houses the salon; consequently, we never noticed any activity or other noise from above. The portside location afforded us the opportunity to enjoy beautiful sunrises on the first half of the cruise and spectacular sunsets on the way back. The exterior partition of the verandah is clear plexiglass. I was impressed that the doorwall glass and the verandah plexiglass were kept clean and smudge-free. Conventional wisdom has it that low amidships is the most stable location on a vessel, and that forward subjects you to more motion and aft to more vibrations. We were surprised therefore to find on three nights, while the ship was underway at or near its top speed, that we were awakened at irregular intervals by sustained shaking of the bed. It was rhythmic but stronger than I would associate with mere vibration. We had smokers on either side of us, but found the smoke bothersome on the verandah on only one occasion -- IN NO WAY a big deal. The cabin was spotless when we boarded, and cabin stewards Achmad and Didit were unobtrusively attentive. The cabin is directly across from the steward's facility, which caused no inconvenience whatsoever. After our previous experience on the Zaandam, where we had to borrow a power strip to overcome the limitations of the single electrical outlet we were afforded, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our cabin had two available outlets at the vanity table across from the sofa and another in the bathroom. Temperature controls were self-explanatory, responsive, and effective.  Read entire member review.
Our VA balcony cabin 8032 was handicap accessible although we are not but we chose it as part of an upgrade offer to the Navigation deck. We did not like this cabin as it seemed to have less storage than a previous balcony cabin we had on deck 5 on the Zuiderdam. Also, the privacy barrier angles so it cuts of some of the view when you sit inside. It is fine when you are outside but would not chose it again.  Read entire member review.

small, noise from Lido restaurant above, nice balcony, no noise from elevators  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8105 is located toward the Aft of the ship right off of the elevators and stairs. The stairs lead up to the entrance to the Lido Buffet and the Aft Pool. Where there was a little noise from the elevators here it wasn't terribly intrusive and it was so conveniently located to all food and the pools that we would happily choose this room again. Everything in this room was in generally good repair.  Read entire member review.
We liked the location of our cabin, some people do not like the top floors, but we were just one floor below the Lido deck where the pools and buffet are located, very convenient just walk up one flight, no waiting for elevators. No noise from above. Bathroom has a bathtub, which makes it easier to move around when you are taking a shower. Closets are adequate once you squash those life jackets into one space.  Read entire member review.
Cabins 8116 / 8120 extremely noisy due to Aft Lido deck directly above  Read entire member review.

Room 8138, Deluxe Verandah Room, had a good size balcony, small desk, tv was fine, bathroom was fine, bed was comfy, pretty small room tho considering the category and the money spent.  Read entire member review.

Great location! We were warned that the Lido deck pool was just above us and that we might need to bear the noise of deck chairs being moved above, but truthfully we weren't bothered at all. We truly loved that our balcony was protected from the wind yet we our view was a full 180 deg.Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage. It came with extra drinking glasses and wine glasses. And the beds!!! Only our own mattress at home could be better than the one aboard ship. We slept so well! But to be able to get up and walk out on to a private balcony just before the sun rises does one truly realize how much an outside balcony is worth.

The bathroom wasn't cramped at all and the extra space for toiletries was appreciated.

Cabin (3) - Veranda Starboard Side. Mid-Back Ship 4126. Low noise. Easy Access to back elevators. . Longest walk was to the Theatre at the front of the ship. Mechanical systems worked well. Layout was functional. Room really did not feel any different than our past veranda / ocean view cabins on this / other cruise lines. The bathroom laminate was tired (chips that had been patched) and the chalking around tub was “sloppy”. As mentioned in other reviews – our floor divots under the carpet were right inside the door by the bathroom entrance. Another couple with child had one of the large indoor cabins – they did not feel crowded and were happy that the darkness encouraged sleeping in.

First Time on HAL by Jsim2011

Small balcony. Closet space adequate, very little drawer space. There was a lot of noise from above.

We had cabins behind the elevators. We thought it would be noisy. To our surprise, we didn't hear any noises from the hallway/elevators. Perhaps it was masked by the white noise from the A/C and passengers in HAL tend to be more mature. No yellings heard and everyone was so polite. Closet space was limited, but we could store our luggage under the bed.  Read entire member review.

8014 and 8010 rooms that were advertised as larger than most were the smallest of any cruise we have been on. The view was the only saving grace with clear walls to view the scenery and whales.

7052 - is on the port side of the ship. Quiet. The fold out sofa bed has seen better days. The mattress was saggy.  Read entire member review.
