Inside stateroom with twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise. (some staterooms may have an obstructed view.)
As an experienced cruiser, this cruise met almost all our expectations. We stayed in Cabin 1002, on the 10th floor. This room is a modified handicap room. If you are in the market for a inside room, this one is the best! It is larger than most inside rooms, the bathroom is oversized and it includes a small picture window overlooking the front of the ship. We traveled with our two small children and there was more than enough room to be comfortable. Word of caution - you will feel a bit more of the boat moving but not enough to be unpleasant. There is also a public deck outside the rooms that were only used by the few cabins in the front of the ship. Many times it was as if we had our own private deck! We really enjoyed our room, its location on the 10th floor, and our wonderful room steward Natan. Read entire member review.
1004 category 4J is an interior room with a window at the very front of the ship. It is also a handicapped room so is about half again larger so we appreciated the extra space. We were also supposed to be able to access a small public deck right next door, but they door was never unlocked. Wouldn't have chosen this room if I'd known we wouldn't be able to go out there. It was nice not having to step up into the bathroom, which was also larger. Read entire member review.
Worthwhile paying the bit extra to have the window. On Royal Caribbean these cabins are considered oceanview. However the cabins are not big. There is lots of closet space but there is no room for even a chair, let alone a couch. You will have a bit more walking space if you ask for the beds to be separate but they are twin beds, not singles, so you can't move around a lot. There is a deck outside these rooms and it is generally empty. However the railing is solid and fairly high so it is difficult to stand there and see much or take pictures, especially if you are not tall like me. We saw into the cabin on the end which is considered a handicapped cabin and there was a lot more room. We also saw through open doors into other interior cabins. Be prepared for very little walking space. Interior rooms seem smaller than on other cruiselines. But the balcony rooms we saw had much more space than I've seen on other cruiselines. 7202 - at the very front of the ship. It was rockier than the middle of the ship, and we could feel the difference as we walked down the hallways. However, it was not too much to deal with, and we only felt the rockiness on the 2nd day of our trip. Our "obstructed view" window was just fine. It was obstructed by the rail of the deck, so we could see all the scenery / buildings / etc, but could not see the water. The room was a bit small, but we had ample closet space. It was very clean, the bed was very comfy, and since we were hardly in it, it was perfect for us. :) Read entire member review.
Out of the way, with a semi-private balcony. At night, the curtains had to stay closed so as not to leak light out to the area under the bridge. The deck outside our cabin was pretty much the only place on the ship that wasn't spilling light everywhere, and stargazing was amazing. If you're in one of the front cabins, do yourself a favor and check the latches on the storage benches before bad weather hits! Read entire member review.
Great cabin if you can get it. Window for an interior price. All the way forward, next to a door to one of the "secret decks". The door to this deck can slam--loud enough to wake you up. Be aware that people can (and do) look in your window. Overall a great deal though-large room, huge bathroom, all for the price of an interior room. Read entire member review.
