Compared to other cruise lines we had a good sized cabin for three adults and a child. Mattress was a 5+ very comfortable and spacious. Ceiling light fixture lens kept falling due to vibration of the ship. My guess was that the lens was cut too narrow.  Read entire member review.

First Timers by valkurek

We stayed in a Balcony room. The kids got to sleep on bunk beds (which my son is now begging me to buy one for the house, lol) We had enough room to put our clothes away and stored our luggage under the beds. Every morning our room was cleaned and every night the staff turned down the beds. My kids always looked forward to seeing what towel animal the staff would make.

Pretty Darn Good by Darshan1
Nice room, no real complaints. Deck 11 is the highest passenger deck so your balcony will be a bit sunny and the room is right below a public area (Serenity - not too noisy) so it's not entirely private. Room is adequately quiet except for very light sleepers b/c there will be some elevator dings nearby and you can make out some vacuuming noises around 1am in the spa next door. Not great for: People who dislike being far from the main dining room, dislike using stairs, and dislike waiting for the elevator. People who require a laundry room on their floor. (Though Deck 9's laundry isn't far.) Great for: People who love the gym or spa, people who want to use their balcony for photography or want lots of wonderful, fresh breezes.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was a balcony room on deck 11. It was very nice and has great access to the spa/fitness center, pool and elevators. Our room steward was awesome and took very good care of us. We had two physical issues in the cabin, the shower didn't drain properly, and the light was flickering over the vanity, both items were remedied within 24 hours after I called. The second issue was the phone, we received prank calls day and night, so much so that by the last full day we contacted security. The calls stopped.

We had 3 cabins, 1374, 1376 and 1296. They were all meticulously maintained. The only drawback with 1374 and 1376 was that they were located directly across from a crew doorway, which was used 24 hours a day, so you heard the door slamming shut at all hours. Also, we experienced a strange banging noise on several nights. It was below us, and we were not sure if it was manmade or part of the ship's maneuverings, but it was very loud and woke us all up.  Read entire member review.

Being in cabin 1830 you are close to the gang ways which is convenient for shore excursions and the dinner restaurant is only 2 decks away.  Plenty of closet room but the cabin is just old.  No flat screen in the room...

Great cabin. second floor, no balcony, huge bathroom--biggest of any ship we've been on. Through definitely on the wrong side of ship. You want to be aft on this ship.  Read entire member review.

If you go to sleep early don't get 2236 or any cabin on the front of the ship in deck 2. You heard the constant beat and vibration of the speakers when they had the shows. It was terrible. If you could go to bed after 12:00 then you would be ok. I thought that they should have started the last shower earlier on the last night, because we all had to get up early and couldn't go to sleep till about 1:30, because people kept talking in the hallways after the show that night.  Read entire member review.

A few warnings... by scrapbookstacey

First problem was our room. It was an oceanview but the window was SO dirty. Even the rubber gasket around the window was falling off and wouldn't fit back in place. The bed felt like I was sleeping on the floor so the next day they added a pad to it which helped some. I could accept that the ship is older and well worn so some of it was to be expected. The worst problem was the noise at night. Our stateroom was #2393 on Deck 2 with the Golden Restaurant above us. The first night about 9:30 I thought there was a storm with hail hitting the windows. It literally sounded like there were pipes running down our walls and rocks were being flushed into them for hours every night. We complained by the 3rd night and they told us to call someone when we heard it and they'd send someone up. Seriously? They aren't going to change the pattern of whatever is happening in the kitchen above us! I started taking ambien to sleep through it.

These rooms were PERFECT! For the most part, there was only a quiet hum from the engines, and it made the perfect white noise. On our last night, it was louder and you could feel the vibrations, but the weather was pretty bad and we were traveling at almost 22 knots to get back to Miami. Otherwise, it was perfectly dark and quiet, which makes for PERFECT sleeping conditions!

You get what you pay for by submasterjeff

Cabin 2475 should NEVER be booked!!!! We booked a "guaranteed oceanview cabin", and Carnival assigned us to 2475 (a 6B level cabin); located on the rear "corner" of the ship. The cabin appeared nice enough, although a little noisy (which we expected). On the 2nd day, the engine speed changed & the vibration & noise became nearly unbearable. In addition, EVERYTHING rattled: lamps, lights, pictures.

Past its glory by Fodorista

The cabin was clean and comfortable. A little dated, but still we were happy with it. We only heard the band practice at the Amber Palace one afternoon. Other than that the proximity to the Amber Theater was not an issue. On the other hand, our neighbors in 6223 were either fighting or partying. That was really annoying.

across from the pantry which is extremely loud at all hours of the day and night....it contains the ice and the dishwasher for the hallway glasses

It is down the hall from the atrium, in which there is a singer there until about 1-2 am everynight, and they sound like they are singing in your cabin

Balcony 6296 - good location to front of ship... kind of a hike to the back and up the stairs to the food. LOVE having a balcony -- wouldn't cruise without one. Kids had inside cabins 6294 and 6298 and they could clearly hear the singers/music from the atrium lobby.  Read entire member review.

Stateroom 6459 is just down the hall from elevators which was convenient. It's also a short walk to the promenade and the Platinum Dining Room. It has plenty of storage. The downside is you could hear the piano bar below the room late at night. I brought ear plugs which was fine for me, but my husband did not.

Not in her Glory by JennCandi

One king size bed, one couch and one Pullman bed (which we didn't use). Nice size room with plenty of closet and drawer space. Only one outlet in the room and no fridge. The balcony had two chairs and a small table. The bathroom was fine, but the shower leaked all over the place. The shower head fell off and they replaced it, so it didn't leak anymore. The room is located over the Ebony Cabaret, so you could hear whatever was going on down there at night. If you are looking for a quiet room, this isn't the one for you.

Our suite entrance had a wooden floor that obviously nobody even varnished or ever maintained thus major scratches, gouges in the floor and in the wooden sidewalls. Our safe broke mid-cruise, and maintenance could not fix it. It stayed broke the rest of the cruise. In the bathroom, the bathtub had rails that stuck out from the wall 6", thus making for an extremely tight fit in the bathtub with hard plastic doors instead of a shower curtain. One would think with space at a premium, Carnival would use the standard in all bathrooms, usually 2" for towel racks and rails. Someone didn't have their common sense hat on when Carnival installed 6" towel rails in a tight bathtub area.
One more thing, not enough American electric plugs available in the room/bathroom area. Our suite only had 2. One in the main cabin, one in the sitting area between the main cabin and bathroom.

As they say location, location. We were on the Empress Deck. This is an ideal deck as cabins were both above and below us- we also were in the middle of the ship and didn't feel any ship movement. While we were close to the elevators, we weren't on top of them. We had two closets in our cabin. I enjoyed the balcony and the opportunity to have light in the cabin and see the ports and the ocean. The laundry room was across the hall and a few doors down from us. We didn't have any outside noise in our cabin  Read entire member review.

First Time Cruiser by debateman
Our cabin was a balcony room towards the aft of the ship starboard. It was a room. The bathroom was tiny. Don't expect a tub. We had a shower, toilet and sink. We did have a tv. The tv was weird. They only offered one regular station at a time and it depended on what was on. No ESPN in the room. On the Green is where to watch sports. I was impressed with our towel animals, although our steward was lazy giving us a walrus two nights. Room Service is all cold food and sandwiches. I got a hot reuben, but I think that was it for warm food. Overall, it was ok. Who goes on vacation to stay in your room, right?  Read entire member review.

Our cabin (#7414) was very nice and very close to the aft elevators. We usually try to get a mid-ship balcony, but tried an aft cabin this time. We like it a lot because the buffet is on deck 9 aft. Two twin beds were made into a king-size bed and it was adequately comfortable. The cabin was attractive and very clean. The balcony on this ship was of average size. The air conditioner was on high in the cabin and it was okay, but not extremely cold. The a/c on the ship as a whole was very good, however. The hallway outside our cabin seemed extra noisy at all hours of day and night.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was Balcony Cabin 7417. Great location which was right around the corner from the aft elevators. Small, but enough space. 3 closets which was plenty. Several drawers as well. I liked that there was a safe and a vanity. The bed was very uncomfortable though. Overall nice cabin. Very clean, ample closet space, needs more hangers. Beds were hard but bedding was very nice with amazing pillows. TV's need updating to flatscreens. Balcony was nice for the price we got if for, however I would not have paid full price because we didn't use it that much. I had room service every morning and ate on the balconly which was wonderful, however my plan to sit and read at night on the balcony did not work due to the fact that the bridge controls whether you can turn your balcony light on. It was great for my husband who smokes, but he said if he didn't smoke it wouldn't have been worth the extra $. It was nice to be able to see the weather, but a window room would have served that purpose just as well!

Clean, comfortable, and Louis was fantastic. Attentive and always everywhere it seemed. The balcony was a let down. It was very short. We were under the Lido deck, so it was loud at times at night (chairs moving, etc. Music was not a problem.) Could not get a lot of sun, but the view was great. There were no obstructions to the view.

But there was an obstruction in the bathroom. When using the shower, the overflow drain outside the shower would start to slowly fill the bathroom. This prompted very short showers before it could become a problem that a well-placed towel could not fix. Ran to find Louis who handled it immediately with maintenance by the time we came back from dinner. No further problems after that.

We had a balcony with a personal safe. Very nice, clean and roomy. I will always go with atleast a balcony. We were just about 20-25 feet from the elevator, making it very convenient. From the balcony you could see everything, we were also pretty much in the center of the boat. Only problem with our room was that the balcony light did not work. No big deal though, would have never used it.  Read entire member review.

Carnival Glory room 8431. I would avoid this room. The upsell fairy called us the day before we left and offered this cabin at a great price. We were originally in an inside on deck 6 that Carnival assigned as a last minute pack-n-go, so we jumped at it. This is a great cabin midship on the Lido deck, near the elevators. We could hear the atrium music at night, but it didn't bother us. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was nice. 25th Anniversary Cruise! by T. Advisor King

This is the best cabin location we have ever had and, arguably, the best cabin we ever had (we got upgraded to the largest stateroom on the ship -- it even had a separate sitting room -- on our first cruise on the Carnivale in 1991. You couldn't be closer to the Lido deck pool area and being at the "end" of a corridor, there were no cabins to one side of our balcony.

Carnival Glory by Oville
Second cruise on the Glory out of New York. Embarkment: Arrived, dropped off bags a little after noon. Park at pier for $30/day. Went through security at 1:30. Stood in line for SeaPass for more than 1 1/2 hours. Finally boarded ship at 3:10. Cabin: Had a balcony cabin deck 10, no complaints. Dining: Requested a table for 2, got a table for 10 which was quickly remedied by the reataurant captain. Dining room was at the aft of the ship and had a lot of vibration. Food for the most part was very good. Buffet: Long lines for both breakfast and lunch, to get a dessert at lunch another long line. Steakhouse: Not great, not horrible. We did it on formal night, recommend doing it on turkey night. Pizza: Open 24 hrs and very good, much better than other cruise lines. Disembarkment: It was a bigger nightmare than embarkment. Waited 3 hours on the ship for Zone 10 to be called. Again, long wait in line to get off the ship and Customs was really backed up. Once off the ship, we used a porter and guess we saved an two hours. Final Comments: I thought the food in the MDR was very good. The lines getting on and off the ship were at best horrible, not to mention the buffet at breakfast and lunch. Perhaps it was just our sailing, but we were very disappointed in this cruise.  Read entire member review.

Housekeeping came at odd times, and a few times I had to wait outside until they finished. There was plenty of closet and dresser space for our clothing. One problem was the metal steps to the bunk. They took up a lot of space because they were at an angle rather than straight. I couldn't use the stool to sit at the vanity because there was just not enough space. Please also use a better kind of cleaning product... the toilet smelled like urine already when we first came in.

The cruise started out bad with a problem with our stateroom door. After getting in the first time to drop off our carry-ons our door malfunctioned. We couldn't get back in for almost 4 or 5 hours(almost the late dining time.) We talked to housekeeping almost immediately they said that security would be down right away to help us. We waited by our cabin for about an hour until we decided to go up to the deck and watch as we left Miami.

Then, once Miami was at our aft, we went back to the stateroom still unable to get back in. We talked again to housekeeping they could not tell us what the delay was. We waited by our door for another half hour watching as others accessed their cabins and were delivered their luggage. That is when we noticed that our luggage had not been delivered yet.

We wanted to get into our cabin and also shower and change into our dinner attire. We could not do either. We had neither. We watched as others luggage came and went and while looking for the source we found our luggage with the room tags that came with the boarding passes still attached were laying on a cart by the elevators. Almost, as if, they had been added to the lost and found. We claimed them and we put them by our door since nobody else would move them and we could still not access our cabin.

I decided to talk to guest services. This had gone past annoying. Once at guest services, calls were placed to both maintenance and security to find out what the delay was. Apparently, the two could not get coordinated enough to be at the cabin door at the same time to figure out what the problem might be. It turned out to be the batteries in the keycard reader.A simple solution right? Wrong, it took them another hour to fix the door. They said it may have been a mechanism within the door handle itself. Still, another hour to fix the door once we have access to the room? This fix should not have taken that long.

Anyways, once the door got fixed we had barely enough time to get showered and dressed for our first night of dining on the ship--which was good.

Our cabin was very spacious, nicely appointed and had GREAT storage.  The bathroom was a nice size for a cruise ship's bathroom.  Our friends traveling with us stated it was larger than the bathrooms in their cabins they've had on Princess cruises.  We found our balcony to be a nice size...it does only seat two...but we still found it nice.    Cabin was in a great location.

We had an oceanview cabin on level 1 in the very back of the ship. We thought that was kind of a bummer, but it really turned out to be just fine. Although I am prone to motion sickness, Dramamine worked like a charm. The cabin was a little bigger than we had on a previous cruise, so we were pleasantly surprised.  Read entire member review.

Room 9292 had one tiny closet which was very disappointing and the air conditioning did not work well, it did cool off a little at night so you could sleep but it was never really cool. The bed was comfortable and the linens soft. This is a handicapped room so the bathroom was a good size.  Read entire member review.

Convenient to elevators without noise from them, adjoining, good size. LOUD toilets directly overhead.  Read entire member review.

Balcony cabin 1065 on deck 10 is a fantastic location. Nice layout, decor and quiet balcony. If you have kids in tow a great location as it is 2 doors from the main pool area and 1 deck from Camp Carnival.

Beds were not great, but we all slept like babies.... big old snoring babies : ). Loved the balcony.  Read entire member review.

Interior stateroom on one of the upper decks.  Generally very quiet.  Climate control was totally inadequate.  Air conditioning was almost non-existent.  Maintenance staff unresponsive to requests and complaints over the stifling temps.  Read entire member review.
