Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
We had an aft stateroom with extended balcony, #6489, extended being deeper than the usual balconies. Very roomy. We had friends in the stateroom next door and the steward was able to open the divider door between the two balconies. We had a pre-sailing party of 12 and everyone was able to comfortably fit on the two respective balconies. The room was clean and well stocked with glasses, towels, and complimentary toiletries. Because of the room configuration, the entry way from the door to the inner cabin is very narrow, basically wide enough for the closet doors to be opened, or the bathroom door to be opened, if the closet doors are closed. The rest of the cabin was sufficiently roomy, had a bed, desk, table, chair and ottoman but no couch in our particular room. The closet and other storage were very adequate. Cabin #7446, aft extended balcony cabin.
Roomy cabin, lots of storage space; however, bad smells at night due to proximity to buffet and dining room. Read entire member review.
Deck 8 aft-facing cabins don't have as much "extended" balcony as lower decks. Cabin 8461 is directly across from pool machinery room, and there is a constant sound of valves and pumps--not too loud or obtrusive, but audible. Read entire member review.
