BAJA Deck Cabin 605, Balcony, approx. 210 sq. ft.
Typical high quality stateroom that I have come to expect from Princess Cruises. More than enough storage room for our clothes, suitcases, and toiletries. Cabin was located Mid-Aft. Fairly close to the Laundromat. High quality flat screen television. The only real disappointment was the size of the shower, not that it came as a surprise, but much smaller in comparison to other ships from the Princess Line. Had a shower curtain which is much less desirable than a shower door. Was comparable to the size I would have expected on Cruise ships I sailed back in the 1980s.

A 307
4. We were allowed right to our cabin (A-307) which was also clean and well appointed and comfortable. Although it is right under the pool deck, there was very rarely any noise from deck, but occasionally there was scraping from the chairs. We were also very close to the elevator but this posed no problem and was even helpful. The cabin had no cold water to speak of. The "cold" water was about 80 or more degrees all of the time which was a new experience for brushing my teeth. There seemed to be some issues with the air conditioning. It was never really cool and at times it was even too warm even though the AC was set on the lowest setting (this seemed to be a problem for the whole ship). Besides these few issues, it was a great cabin. You would not go wrong in this one!  Read entire member review.
Very poor layout. It was an interior cabin on the Aloha deck. There was only one chair and it was designed for the vanity. We had to sit on the bed to read or watch TV. There was lots of wasted space in the cabin that could have been configured to allow at least one easy chair. The bathroom was fine, but the shower was very small and tight. It did encourage water conservation because you had to turn the water off to soap up. We were awakened at 5:30 to 6:00 by the service elevators delivering the linens for the day.  Read entire member review.

The room was good. One of the best things about being on Aloha (deck 12) is that it's the highest deck with rooms, it's covered if it rains, and you don't have anyone staring down at you.

A winner by no ka oi

we had a mini-suite AB229. This is quite forward the positive of which was having to work off some of the delicious food by walking a long distance to
restaurants, etc.

It was quite roomy. There was a bathtub which allowed 6'3 husband to move comfortably compared to stall shower elsewhere.

The balcony was large enough with 2 chairs, and 2 which could recline. The caribe deck has a covered balcony which we used often because we were lucky with the weather.

The room steward, Benedict was very accommodating with special requests, and we did enjoy the refrigerator and nightly candy with turndown.

Perfect location and size. Buffet two floors up, main theater and dining room straight down. Out on a "bump" so viewing was terrific. Easy access to deck accross front of the ship.Room was very quiet and temperature just right. Shower a little on the small size. Ship size is perfect.  Read entire member review.

Room was just enough, nothing fancy. Clean, comfortable.

No problems at all. B329 is nice. Luis is a great cabin steward and everything worked and we were comfortable and happy.  Read entire member review.
Ample room for hanging clothes, also enough shelving and drawers to stash "stuff". Shower was entirely too small.  Read entire member review.
B415- center of the ship, deck 11, Comfortable queen bed. Good storage and closet space. Rooms on each side could accommodate a family of four. Could connect the veranda between rooms; no interior access for families traveling together.  Read entire member review.
The cabin door didn't close easily. It seemed a little warped at the top. The shower curtain will billow out when the water is first turned on and allow water to trickle to the floor. This is probably true for all cabins with this type curtain and shower.  Read entire member review.

Alaska land and cruise tour by Firefighter9008

The cabin was nice but the bathroom area was VERY small. The shower was hardly big enough for me, Im a big guy. The room was clean and had plenty of storage space for clothing. And we had a balcony, get a balcony, worth the extra money.

Cabin was much bigger than I thought. Bed was good. Bathroom was big. Shower was a little small but not as bad I expected after reading other reviews. Location was great in the midship region. It was far enough back from the "bump outs" that it did not bother me. Never heard the elevator or people moving outside the door. Balcony was once again bigger than I thought and I spent a lot of time out there as the weather (for Alaska) was perfect. Caribe Deck has half covered half open balconies. Port side was great on the southbound cruise.

We were upgraded from a midship cabin to C211, very near the front of the ship. It was wonderful. great cabin in every way. lots of closet space, large bathroom, super balcony, superb room steward. Quiet not a lot of traffic, easy access to front elevators. Nice new carpet in room.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was laid out nice and the forward section of the ship as best as they are all at level. Throughout the rest of the ship, Princess has designed this terribly. For example, on the lower decks the balconies protrude creating a sense that you are not completely private. People can look down on you as you enjoy your balcony or you could look up and see you sea of balconies.

Wonderful ship!! by Traveler4k

Calvin was a standard oceanview balcony. I prefer the forward section of this particular ship as the other midships section & F §have balconies that protrude above or below you. The forward section is the only section that has cabins that are exactly at level. Also the balconies are glass so they provide optimal viewing of the ocean imports.

Late Season Alaska by debkaysmith

Caribe Deck 425 - This stateroom with balcony is right off the stairwell/elevator area but there was absolutely no noise into our room. Ample closet space with hangers, smallish bathroom with stand-up shower only, and a bed that I would rate "fair." The balcony holds two deck size chairs and a small table and you have an incredible view as this cabin is center of the ship.

Cabin was attractive with large deck partially covered. The shower is way too small with a plastic curtain and most days the bathroom floor gets wet.

Great closet space, huge balcony but smallest shower ever  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was C708 - loved being right near the laundry. There is only one per floor. We were near the back. But our cabin was great. Plenty of room for a family of four.  Read entire member review.

A must for an Alaska cruise is a balcony. Fortunately, the Island Princess has a lot of balcony rooms. As a matter of fact, it looked to us like Princess in general had more balcony rooms than any other ship we saw in port. We chose a mini-suite and were so glad we did. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge by cruise ship standards, with a full bathtub/shower combination. Our room was C722, port side aft. There is very little motion felt on an Alaska cruise since the waters are calm and we could barely tell we were moving.

Even though we had a cabin at the front of the ship and one rough day at sea it didn't move as much as I thought it would. It would be nice if someone could invent a shower curtain that wouldn't snuggle up with you. We had no balcony but had a very large window. Didn' miss the balcony.  Read entire member review.

We were in mini-suite DOLPHIN 415 (starboard). D415 balcony is 100% uncovered. We did not experience any vibration or swaying at any time during the cruise.
There were numerous infrastructure problems encountered with D415:
- Cabin toilet would not flush for 12 hours.
- While showering, water stopped intermittently for 40-60 seconds.
- Cabin ceiling fire suppression sprinkler head dripped into cabin intermittently.
- Cabin ceiling lights turned on/off at their will.
- There is no heat option in cabins; only "warmer" air conditioning that cannot be turned off.
- We were extremely disappointed in the service from our Cabin Steward. It was obvious to us that he just didn't care.
- Cabin Steward advised no bath towels available one day, so we went and found pool towels.
- Cabin Steward left one wash cloth and when we asked him for another he said he couldn't give us another one and told us to "share"!! (we had to go to CUSTOMER SERVICE to get another wash cloth.)
- As mini-suite passengers, we requested bath robes which resulted in horribly used robes unfit for wear! Requested replacements from Cabin Steward--still waiting!
- Request to Cabin Steward to remove all sodas from cabin refrigerator to make room for medications--Cabin Steward told us to do it ourselves!
- Request to Cabin Steward for 2 wine glasses--still waiting!

Nice space. Large closet. Sofa and a chair. 2 flat screen TVs. Good size make up table. 2 drawer bedside tables. Bring an extension cord and power strip if you have a lot of things that need to be charged. Nice size bathroom with Shower/Tub combo. Uncovered balcony with 2 chairs and foot stools.

Wild Alaska by Molly O
D 703 Tasmania. Our suite was lovely and spacious. The covered double balcony was perfect for Alaska, as there is always something to see!  Read entire member review.
Reasonable size, small but comfortable. Lots of closet/storage. Bathroom was adequate - smallish but do-able. Quiet location.  Read entire member review.

room was old, who likes climbing into a bathtub to take a shower, lighting was poor to read a book so had them change light bulbs. room did not have covered balcony which was o.k. as it rained on and off, towels were fine, one sink in a suite is not enough and small bathroom for a suite...

We had an inside cabin with a queen/Full bed. It was tight! But okay since we weren't in the room much. The shower was TINY! I found it hard just to move around!  Read entire member review.
Great AK Cruise by krennen
The inside cabin was OK but we did get noise that sounded like ship workingssporatic and kind of clunking noises.  We soon got used to it as we were so tired from activities.  Read entire member review.
TV was in top half of wall cabinet so one almost got a stiff neck from trying to watch it. Cabin size was good and it was comfortable.  Read entire member review.
Dolphin 710. Covered balcony ensured complete privacy. The nightclubs are on the aft portion of the trip - no long hallways to navigate after a night of drinking and partying. The mini-suite's bathtub with shower was far more comfortable than the tiny showers in other accommodations. Two TV's were very convenient - one facing the three person sofa and the other, a very comfortable bed.  Read entire member review.
