Cabin A306 Coral Princess.
This is a very standard balcony cabin on the Coral Princess. The room is directly outside of the forward stairs and elevators. We did NOT hear much noise at all with the door closed. The cabin is also directly below the bathroom outside of the Horizon Court Buffet and seating on Lido deck. We did ever hear any noise from above. Do not be concerned about the location of this cabin and noise.
The elevators and stairs outside this cabin only go as far down as Deck 7. You end up at the theater and Wheelhouse Bar. Dining rooms, casino, some shops, are also on decks 5 and 6. You will need to walk aft to the center bank of elevators to have full access to decks or use the elevators outside of this cabin, go down to deck 7 and then walk to the center for other options to continue down. We did not find this to be a big deal but was a little confusing at first getting to know the ship.
One deck up is the Lido deck. You are a quick flight of stairs and a few steps to the Horizon Court Buffet, Lido deck bars, pizza, MUTS, ice cream, and then only one more flight of stairs away from the burgers and great locations to view the glaciers, parks, etc.
The balcony is a covered balcony and does offer great port side viewing. It is probably one of the more private balconies on the ship because of location. You could look down into several balconies but no one could really see onto yours except maybe your neighbors. There is a fairly large, 1 inch, gap in the privacy screen between balconies where the wall is hinged and can be opened if you know the people next to you and want to share balconies. Probably not a big deal to most but you may want to make sure your robe is always closed when you are making the trip out to see how warm you want to dress that day.
There is nothing extra on size of this cabin. It is standard but does have adequate storage. The balcony is large enough for a small short table and a couple of chairs but if balcony space is important to you, this is not the one you should choose.
Bathroom is small and the shower is even smaller. It did have great water pressure but as I'm a bigger/taller person, the handle and on/off valves do not seem to be placed very strategically. Everytime I tried to turn I would hit something with an elbow.
There is a refrigerator and we thought it worked well.
Lighting is fine with a few options for how much light you need. Night stand only, full room, over desk, balcony only, closet only, and bathroom.
Finally the beds. Probably in my opinion the only reason I would not choose this room again. For us, they were hard, really hard. We sleep on a very soft bed normally and I did not have very good luck getting a good nights sleep because I thought the beds very very uncomfortable. This is the one aspect to the room that I would change. Other than that you will get a very standard cabin on a high deck. Read entire member review. |

Cabin was fine, good storage, and with the requested 'eggcrates' the mattrsses o.k. Shower TOO SMALL, I'm by no means the largest passenger, and it was not good. Balcony small, and IF you had a 'smoker' nearby, you had to shut the door quickly, it sucked the smoke right in! Thank you Princess, w/new rules, 1-2012, I, for one appreciate that. Bedding, duvet, over light down alternative, comfortable, and clean feeling. No shower gel, shower cap, or room Kleenex, and this is in a balcony! Steward says only in 'mini-suite' and above????? No ice, water, unless requested with room service? Room service trays had little 'medicine cups' holding 'paper salt and peppers'?? Whatever. I am not an elitest, but Celebrity, and HAL have spoiled me! Read entire member review. |

B727 - Inside. Quiet, handy to laundry, close to little used aft deck on Baja.
B737 - Balcony. No overhang so not so private as those a little farther forward. Very quiet, handy to laundry, close to little used aft deck on Baja.
Both cabins fairly close to aft stairs/elevator for access to spa/gym/Sanctuary up or Universe Lounge down. Read entire member review. |

D 208, 210 and 212 were cabins for our group. We had ample room for two in each cabin. Enjoyed being outside viewing the incredible sights passing by. I think that next time I would opt for a cabin more towards mid-ship. Read entire member review. |

Loved the location of our cabin, B418. We like the Baja deck the best because of the balconies; no one can look down on you from above so they are quite private. Also, the room was just big enough for two people to share, and we were close to the elevators. Our room steward, Morris, wasn't as attentive as some we've had in the past, but if we ask for anything he made sure to provide it. Quite surprisingly there is ample storage space in these rooms also. Read entire member review. |
