Our balcony cabin was awesome. Plenty of room, lots of space for all your clothing and personal items, and a nice sitting area on your balcony. Read entire member review. |

Mariner of the Seas Cabin #6218. This was a nice cabin towards the front of the ship. We enjoyed sound of the water hitting the hull under our balcony as we slept. It was akin to hearing the sounds of waves on a beach and we loved it. We did not notice any noises other than the sound of the anchor being lowered off the coast of Belize. It was also a good location for a quick trip for morning coffee. All you had to do was go down one deck and you entered almost directly into the part of the Promenade Cafe where the Seattle's Best Coffee was located. The main dining room and Windjammer was located on the other end of the ship. The workout facility and sauna was located above our part of the ship. We found our elevators to be a little less crowded than the other elevator banks on the ship. We think it was because we were away from the main pool area and the dining rooms. Great storage, now with flat screen TV. Adequate bathroom, great shower with circular doors, not a curtain. Full sized sofa, the room only slept 2. Near quieter forward elevators and handy for Cafe Promenade, Schooner Bar, Savoy Theatre and Lotus Lounge. Better to use these and go up to deck 11, walk along the deck to WJ than go to rear centrum elevators as these are always busy.
Very noisy when anchors being lowered when not arriving at a dock and a port where you tender ashore e.g. Cannes.
Can feel the forward bow thrusters, but as these are only used early morning when docking or when departing from a port in the evening, not a problem
Good view forward and long way back to aft as only the 5th balcony cabin from the front on deck 6.
Possible feeling of more motion as cabin not located midships. But as on a lower deck, motion negligible. Read entire member review. |

Back of the ship; long walk from the elevators, plenty of storage space, full length couch, flat screen TV, balcony certainly shows its age, very quiet location if no kids on the ship running around, attendant has shampoo and lotion if you forget yours, sit down vanity/desk, hair dryer in the dresser rather than in the bathroom.
