The location was good. It is right across from a service elevator and major service area, but we were never bothered by noise. There was just occasional congestion in the corridor when they were moving luggage. The cabin was comfortable, well organized with plenty of storage, as least for us. The bathroom was small but with enough space to stow our toiletries. It is convenient to the Windjammer which is just up one deck. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 1388 - D1 category - great wide cabin (note pole in middle of cabin) - balcony smaller than most afts with a beam in the middle that you must duck under to go from side to side. Read entire member review. |

We strongly recommend the aft balconies on deck 10 of the Mariner and similar ships. The balconies are huge, (the aft corners are not quite as large) as long as you are willing to make the walk from elevators to room. Most of the balcony is shaded by the Windjammer above, so no noise of deck chairs being moved that you might hear in more central cabins on 10. We think they are a better value for the money (category D1) than the Junior Suites on the same deck. Read entire member review. |

Aft D1 1392: Balcony was huge: big enough for 2 chaise lounge chairs, 2 normal chairs, and a table. Not as much breeze as the side of the ship. Room was a normal D1 -- the sofa bed was actually very nice as the sofa seat becomes one bed, and the sofa back becomes the other. Would definitely recommend. Read entire member review. |

I was in cabin 1666 ,tenth floor. unobstructed view..cabin and balcony size is small and tight. Cabins on the fantail sell for the same price, but have much larger balcony space. Noise is a problem,if there are small children next door. Close to the Windjammer for food, but a long walk from the spa and Atrium pool. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 1672, quiet, just what we like, balcony ample big enough for what you need, 1670 was connecting and with door open made our holiday as we had two cabins booked, excellent!! Read entire member review. |

Deck 10, room 1674, port side, the very last cabin before the aft balcony rooms.
The room is not considered to have an obstructed view, but I'd say that if one is supposed to be able to see left, right, and center from their balcony then I would consider this room partially obstructed because there is window cleaning scaffolding mounted to the ship on the left side of the balcony.
Ample and well organized closet space. Nice size couch, comfy if not slightly soft beds. Absolutely no lotion, shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom w/o having to ask for it.
Tiny (maybe 19") flat screen TV with a decent selection of channels if that's important.
Two chairs and a tiny table on the balcony.
Right below the Windjammer Cafe and the pool area but never heard any noise.

1690 Aft cabin...
Great oversized balcony with 2 pool chairs, a lounge chair, and 3 patio chairs with table big enough to use for a meal on the balcony. Interior of cabin was typical with flat screen tv and comfy bed and pull out sofa bed. The sofa bed was not your typical fold out mattress but more like a futon with the back of the sofa becoming part of the bedding. 14 year old slept here comfortably for the week. Location - quick walk to elevators and level 10 means no elevators to windjammer or pool!
Balcony - awesome...about 15x20. Did not get any soot, beautiful.

cabin 6260
The bathrooms on mariner and splendour of the seas were minute - they have the smallest showers known to man. We have cruised on a number of cruise lines and these are the smallest.
There is no light in the closet (wardrobe) and it is not really adequate for the clothes of 2 people for a week, unless you have only shelf items. Something was done every day at 5.30am which sounded like knocking on the door. The first morning, I opened the door, but there was no one there, so I dont know what caused the noise, but if you have this cabin be prepared for an early start.
The verandah chairs are metal with plastic strappings - very cheap and most uncomfortable. They are not recliners, just chairs. Read entire member review. |

Category D1- 6652 Mariner of the seas- Functional and spacious, well laid out, plenty of storage. Typical bathroom with actual shower enclosure, no curtain. Beds and linens not bad, but not great. Compared to carnival, bed uncomfortable. Kind of worn and dated, tube TV needs update, needs a pull-down for fourth guest. Side sleeping convertible fold out not great idea. Location great! My wife and I stayed in balcony cabin 6683 at the aft corner of the ship. You could not see very much from the balcony, but it was big enough for two loungers and two chairs which made it a very nice space to relax on. Since it was on the aft of the ship it was shielded from the breeze and was warmer than the pool deck during sea days. Read entire member review. |

closet was not quite large enough, but we loved the balcony. and although it was a long haul to any of the dinning areas our hallway was not very busy and the extra walking came in handy for the excess calories! Read entire member review. |

Smooth ride as it's near back of the ship but not too far. Plenty of storage space in closet and under bed. Not much noise due to traffic in hallways and not too far from elevator or stairs. Good placement only 2 floors up from main Royal Promenade deck and a healthy 4 floor climb to Windjammer and restaurants Read entire member review. |

Great cabin. Small bathroom but very functional. Plenty of cabinet space strategically placed in cabin. Large sofa converts to additional bed but we didn't open it. No complaints at all. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 8230, very clean, near the elevators, very little outside noise. We only noticed people talking if they were directly in front of our door and were speaking very loudly. Plenty of storage, a convenient safe and a mini-fridge. The bed was very comfortable (I'm used to a tempurpedic bed) and the linens were cloud soft and clean. The balcony was as expected and although you don't get complete privacy, you have to lean over your railing to even get a peak at your neighbors. I would easily recommend this cabin and have requested it on our next cruise. Read entire member review. |

LOADS of storage Space - loved all the options. Right outside the door is the Staff area where on the night before Disembarkment, they are making a LOT OF noise moving the Luggage around. Other than that one night, it was fine. I really like the room as a single, it would be cramped for a couple Read entire member review. |

We stayed in cabin 8516. It was the first cabin balcony and we loved it. It had the curved glass so we could see the front of the ship, helicopter pad and where we were going. Great balcony. Bring a mattress pad if your body is sensitive to lesser quality beds. We brought a memory foam pad and we were so glad we did. You can also order a mattress pad with Royal Caribbean to be placed on your bed upon arrival. We did this as well but it's very very thin.
Overall, nice cabin. Plenty of room for 2 away from elevator, hallway noise. Read entire member review. |

Our stateroom was perfect for us. It had plenty of room and the most important thing was the balcony. For us it was worth every penny. I wouldn't travel on Royal Caribbean if they didn't allow smoking on the baloneys. Every morning except the last day the sun rose on our side and every day we got up before dawn to have coffee and cigs watching the sun come up. The only down side about the room was the refrigerator. We had the stateroom attendant take all of the stuff out so we could put our own stuff in. When I checked I noticed it wasn't cold inside. I called maintenance and they came out and it still wasn't cold and after the third time they said it wasn't broken but supposed to be around 50 degrees. That didn't make sense to me. I couldn't even keep milk in there and not have it go bad. So after that I got 4 ice buckets and kept everything in there and the stateroom attendant kept them full of ice. Other than that one little thing I don't think I could have had a better room. The only problem is if I take another cruise I have to get a balcony again. One thing I really wish they had had was a menu of all the restaurants on the TV (on Royal Caribbean TV) so you could decide what you wanted to eat that night without going to every restaurant every day to see what they were serving. The volume button for controlling ship announcements in the stateroom did not work, so we were constantly sticking our head out the door to hear what was being said.

We found this cabin to be very quiet. Because it is on the hump, or bubble, we gained a couple feet between the drapes and the sliding glass door. We were about 100 feet from the stairs, elevators and the Concierge Lounge. We found it perfect for our needs. Read entire member review. |

We have been in a JR suite for our last few cruised, but this time it was a D1. The space is used very well, although it is hard to pass each other going from one side to the other, as its not very wide. The balcony was good sized and very private.
Storage was very good. Three drawers went unused, as did a few shelves. The bathroom was a typical cruise ship size, with round glass doors on the shower, which is better than the clingy shower curtain. Read entire member review. |

Location was forward, so we walked a lot, but the cabin was very quiet. The only time we heard our neighbors was when we were on the balcony at the same time. There was plenty of storage and the bathroom was an acceptable size. Read entire member review. |

9610 - Great smaller Veranda because it looks both forward and sideways, due to a bulge in the ship there close to elevators, therefor convenient. I'd like this room again for two people. Read entire member review. |

9650 Great location. We love the 9th deck because we can use the stairs to 11 and 12, as well as down to any floor. The cabins on this ship are plenty large and have a great closet with shelves. I would choose this cabin again. Read entire member review. |

We had 9676 and 9681, connecting cabins. It's perfect, as 9676 is a balcony and 9681 is an "inside", which we used for the baby. There are only two configurations like this on the ship. It was a great find! Read entire member review. |
