I wrote in my review comments about our cabin. It was entirely my fault, being too thrifty, for selecting the inside cabin far aft. Mechanical noises, rattling etc., undoubtedly are to be expected in this cabin. But the fumes from cleaning fluids, paint, paint thinner, turpentine or whatever it was, should not have entered our cabin and permeated it, thus marring our experience, chasing us out of the cabin. It wasn't constant, and not much at night, only occurring from some ship maintenance activity that seemed to take place during afternoons, on the last 4 days of our cruise. It seems to us that HAL can perform ongoing cleaning, painting activities, and not ALLOW THE FUMES from these solvents to enter into the air conditioning system. A few passengers we talked to had the same problem.  Read entire member review.
