Even though across the hall from the crew's cleaning closet it was very quiet. A large closet space, not far from the elevators. Just a small amount of movement in the one stormy night.  Read entire member review.

Statendam - 546 - Across from laundry room, which is convenient. But our cruise had gastrointestinal/norovirus problem that caused Holland America to close the laundry rooms for several days. The first day it was back open, there was a line of people sitting in the hallway all day & night and it was noisy. They stayed late into the night talking. The following day, the ship posted a sign that the laundry would only be open from 7am - 10pm and locked the door outside that time. Inconvenient for some people trying to get laundry done, but really cut down on noise, so Thank You whoever made this decision! Otherwise, room was what we expected. Good closet space. Hard to get in & out of shower/bath - high step. Nice to have window, but missed balcony we had last time. Also missed having a refrigerator. Would have liked much stronger AC blower through Canal / Guatemala - it was HOT for me. Also, since ship going into dry dock immediately following our cruise, there were a number of small things with the room that hadn't been fixed/replaced in a while and looked yucky -- cracked ring in sink, electrical issues, odor under bed that seeped into our luggage, brass edging on table glued down poorly and sharp - companion cut himself. Nothing that caused us to say "Never Again", but added up.  Read entire member review.

Nice sized outside cabin. Plenty of storage space and there was a full tub in the bathroom! Only complaint was the location of the TV. It would work wekk if the bed is made up as a queen, but as two singles? Not so much.  Read entire member review.
