Utility Closet is next to the room and several times they were accessing it and you could hear scraping and banging. Partially obstructed view and you could see the Ocean. Read entire member review. |

8096. Walls thin. I could hear phone conversations in one cabin. The other cabin spoke Japanese. Obstructed view was not bad in this room. Push beds all the way to the wall if separated. Read entire member review. |

Great location. You could see out the two smaller windows. You have to be careful as I noticed a crew member on the decking by the life boat that was right outside our window. The room would be fine if the beds left apart. Plenty of storage. Read entire member review. |

NCL Dawn Cabin 8128
We loved this cabin, it was a handicap cabin so the room and bathroom felt spacious. It was located above Blue Lagoon and we were worried about being directly above the 24 hour restaurant but we did not hear a sound. We loved being at the back of the ship (close to the elevators/stair to get up to the kids club and kids pool, gym/spa, and buffet restaurant) and 1 deck down from all the entertainment areas.
If we had the choice, we would select this outside cabin again. The partial view was fine...you can see directly out but the top of the lifeboat is flush with the bottom part of your window...not a problem for us. A plus is that your window is protected so you do not hear the water or rain pounding on your window as we learned when talking to other passengers about the storm the first night. Decent size, obstructed view but plenty of light to give the illusion of a larger cabin, decent layout, not enough sound insulation between adjacent cabins (you can hear conversations on both sides). Read entire member review. |

The renovations recently done to the room made it very attractive and comfortable. Very little legroom when sitting on the toilet (and I have short legs) We had an obstructed view but the extra light added to the room. Read entire member review. |

Room was adequate size. However, the size made it difficult to get into the bed from the sides - we banged into the desk on one side and the upper bunk bed on the other side. The shower was immense compared to most other cruise lines for this category cabin (G). The toilet compartment was very tight if you are over 5 ft 10 inches and weigh more than 180 lbs. It's dooable but not all that easy. Cabin attendant always had our room cleaned and ready. The ice buckets do not keep the ice frozen for long - need better insulation. The small refrigerator was stocked with beer, sodas, liquor, fruit drinks, etc. We finally took the items out and stored them - then used the refrigerator to store the ice bucket. Make sure you leave it out for replenishment when needed. The room was quiet except when launching the lifeboats for tender purposes (right outside our cabin) - not all that bad but noticeable. Make sure you keep the curtains closed or you might get caught looking by a crewmember during the launch! Linen and pillow (4 ea) were perfect and adequate. Not quite up to RCI standards. Plenty of storage space for luggage and clothing. Safe was easy to program and use. Lighting was very good. Hot water problems on Sat morning (no shower unless one wanted to use only cold water) of the cruise - was fixed by afternoon. Hallways were narrow but adequate. Ship noise was non-existent in our cabin - did not sense any ship motion while underway - we have been in 30 foot seas with no ill effects. View out the double slit windows was nearly non-existent. Our view was between two lifeboats - we could see the water/light and about a 10 degree field of view. We knew the cabin was an obstructed view so no squawk herein. Read entire member review. |

Were were in the handicapped accessible room 8620. It was the first room right past the Salsa Restaurant. The room was very nice, plenty of room to accommodate. We had an obstructed ocean view full sized window. The view was beautiful. The only obstruction was a life boat but it was under and above the window. We could see straight out. The only thing with that room is that the kitchen for Salsa is right across the hall and sometimes the smells of different foods would take over our cabin. Also another thing that might bother some but did not bother us is the Atrium is so close and you could here the music very loudly in the room. If you're an early sleeper that might be a problem. Cabin was sufficient for four. Cabin turned down was nice and room made up quickly. Hallway was noisy, thin walls between cabins. Garbage outside
of rooms not always cleaned in timely manner. Phone should be higher on wall and difficult to read. Cabin should have a clock in it Read entire member review. |
