Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony Cabins 86 Reviews
With room for up to three guests, these staterooms have two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and a pull out sofa to accommodate one more. Along with a sitting area, floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a private balcony with an amazing view.

The NCL Dawn cabin was smaller, had less closet space, the bed was harder, and bedding not as comfortable as experienced on Carnival Miracle. Our NCL Dawn bathroom did have a shower door instead of a curtain which we prefer. Our balcony was one of the ones forward that were particially enclosed (not wide open) which we ended up liking because it gave us some additional shade and protection from rain.  Read entire member review.

Balcony 10012. Quiet area. Close to bow. Near elevator but not noisy. Good space.  Read entire member review.

Great balcony, close to the elevators, small but functional bathroom and comfortable bed. Lousy tiny tv.  Read entire member review.

Great slightly forward location. Fairly quiet. Loved the balcony - slept with the door open a few nights and loved hearing the surf against the ship''s hull. Excellent room stewards.  Read entire member review.

Our room (10036) was just off the elevator. I was worried that it would be noisy, but we rarely heard people coming and going. Overall it was convenient and made it easy to find our room. Having stayed in a balcony (and having glanced into an inside room), we won't choose less in the future.  Read entire member review.

Mostly perfect cabin. Great location, quiet-both from above and from the hallway, good balcony, excellent bathroom, good hair blower on the vanity. The only thing I would change would be the location of the witing table & chair...which was placed immediately next to/in front of the slider to the balcony. It made going out on the balcony & coming back into the cabin less than smooth.  Read entire member review.

Our state room 10070 had a balcony and a king sized bed (2 singles pushed together). The bathroom had a decent sized shower and a toilet which had a sliding door. It was not big but it was a good size with plenty of storage. Our cabin steward was wonderful. He anticipated our every need and made sure we always had clean towels. He also made us towel animals: a frog, an elephant, a bird and a bear.

I never felt special... by cruiseczarina
Balcony cabin midway between aft and midships on deck 10. Specifically chose Deck 10 to have cabins on decks above and below, so no public rooms above or below. Nicely located near elevators and stairs but far enough away from noise or congestion.  Read entire member review.

I have very little to say about this stateroom. It was dated, small, not very clean.

Last cruise, we had a balcony cabin on the stern of the 8th floor, which was wonderful. This cruise, cabin 10188 (10th floor, starboard aft) is noticably narrower and smaller, but it is quiet, near the elevator but not TOO near, and we had a great view of the Statue of Liberty on departure. Though we preferred our stern cabin, this one wasn't bad.  Read entire member review.

Great location. Noisy in the mornings -- scraping sound coming from above. Small overall. Not enough drawer space.  Read entire member review.

Nice, Relaxing Cruise by TravellingTRS
We were in cabin 10202, which I wouldn't recommend only because there must be a public room above it in which staff drag chairs or tables or something across the floor, which made a lot of noise. Other than that, I like the layout of the bathrooms, including the sliding doors on the shower.  Read entire member review.

We loved our cabin we had a balcony cabin on the 10th floor. The bed was very comfortable with a beautiful comforter and plenty of pillows. There was plenty of room. The closet was a good size with plenty of storage space with drawers and places for shoes. The bathroom was great very clean and it was compact but just enough space we loved the shower the tile was so pretty and the shower head was the kind you can take off and hold in your hand. We also had a table and chairs and a love seat. The room also had a safe and a small fridge, the safe was very easy to use. They put all new flat screen tv's in the staterooms. Our balcony was so nice with two chairs and a small table we loved it and used it quite a bit it was small but for two people it was more than enough. They cleaned the room everyday and put new towels in also the room was really clean.  Read entire member review.

Beauty shop and spa above us on deck 11. They cleaned the floors at night and we could hear this. I did complain and the next night we heard nothing. The desk called back to verify our complaint. Unfortunately, the next night the noise above was back again. (I'm a light sleeper). Other than that, room was great. Watch the window washer on the balcony though - you or your "dry towels" could get sprayed.  Read entire member review.

10216 is quiet, but quite a distance from the gangway exit and pool deck if you have walking difficulties. It is close to the main public dining room if you are not into the costlier specialty restaurants. If you need more than a single 110 volt outlet bring your own splitter to provide more outlets...otherwise bring an euro converter as there is another euro outlet behind the TV.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was a starboard side stateroom with a balcony (room 10216). It wasn't huge but it suited our needs. The man that took care of our cabin was a true pro. He made us some adorable towel animals and kept our room spotless. It was quiet and relaxing on the balcony in the morning with coffee was great.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was small but adequate and clean. The steward, Mario, was attentive and very friendly with a great sense of humor. The location was the last cabin starboard aft and they stored the window washing trolley on the outside next to it. This made noise on occasion as the ship moved about. It also backs up to a crew's stairwell which gets active beginning at 5 a.m. so be advised if you are not an early riser. The balcony is small with two chairs and a tiny table - 8" square.

10222 Room was right below a room which must have been used by the crew, possibly housekeeping, as there was door banging and dragging noises 4-5 am. Also a lot of vibration which could be felt all night possibly originating from the problem engine.  Read entire member review.

Great Cruise by cruisejames
The cabin was OK but would not have been suitable for 3 Balcony was good but was slightly restricted due to being last cabin although this did make it quite and protected from the elements huge shower and great size bathroom good size closet with plenty of hangers  Read entire member review.

Deck 10 was great. It was quiet. Our cabin was close to the forward elevators which was nice. It was small but adequate. It was very nice having big windows and the balcony. Even when we weren't on the balcony there was plenty of light and a nice view. It was annoying that the tv had a hdmi input but it was blocked and wouldn't allow playing movies from our computer through the tv. There was adequate storage for a week. Suitcases stored under the bed. The bathroom and shower were quite large for a cruise ship.

Lots of closet space, drawers and hangers. Storage space under beds. Great balcony but having 3rd person in room - the pullout bed is in way of balcony so in morning I had to crawl quietly over bed to get outside. No biggie.  Read entire member review.

Midsummer by Rebdeb
Very roomy for a couple. Lots of shelves, closet, drawer space. Plus: no cabins across the hall (so quieter); and really easy to access the spa and everything both mid and aft. Balcony in this section has overhang from deck 11 -- making the deck 10 balconies in mid section shady - a bonus.  Read entire member review.

This was a very nice cabin. Adequate closet and shelf space. Bed comfortable and high enough to store luggage under. The washroom is laid out very efficiently. Great shower !!! The balcony was not the largest but is fine for 2 people to lounge out on. This cabin is very close to the aft stairs, and this makes it really easy to run up the 2 levels to the buffet and grab a morning coffee.  Read entire member review.

Absolutely Perfect by Daphne Starr
We stayed in balcony room 10696 and re-booked this room for next year because we like it so much. It's small, like most rooms on a cruise are, but it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The room was right near the aft elevators so it was very conveniently located and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. I thought the bed was great, but my husband complained it was too firm. The mini-bar was missing some items (peanuts, a water, a beer, and a wine), but we weren't planning on using them anyway. However, I was worried we would be charged for the missing items, so I wrote on the order form what was missing and we were never charged. There were some minor things that were wrong, but not worth getting upset about - initially there was a slight odor of urine in the toilet area (it appeared spotless and went away later that night), the curtains had several small pinholes that let streams of light in, and a couple times our stewardess only left one set of clean towels. She was quick to bring more and was always smiling and helpful.  Read entire member review.

Christmas on the Dawn by Dallas_Doggie_Mom
We were in cabin 10698. which is a handicapped accessible cabin. The cabin was spacious, and well designed. I have difficulty standing for long periods of time, and the chair for the shower was a tremendous help! The grab bars in the bathroom were also a great help. The placement of the emergency call button by the bed was poorly thought out, though. I hit it with my backside the first night, which prompts an immediate call from the Guest Services desk! They remained on the line until I went across the cabin to the reset button by the door. From that point on, I was extremely careful not to bump the button again! (Thankfully, they all have a good sense of humor, and they found it as funny as I did!) The cabin was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the balcony was a peaceful get-away. We got to know our neighbors, and the day wasn't officially started until we had wished them a good morning. We were initially concerned because of the cabin's proximity to the elevators, but we only heard them ding once or twice, and traffic was never a problem, although teens did feel a need to rearrange my holiday cling letters on our door - and actually take some of them - as the cruise went by. We had moderate swells the last two days on the ship, and being this far aft was great! The ship's movements were significantly reduced compared to our friends' cabin at the bow on the same deck.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 10722 (BB) balcony stateroom aft port side deck 10. At first you think there is not enough space for you clothes but inside the closet to to right you'll find 4 shelves. Nice sliding doors to access the balcony. Last port side aft cabin. You're about 10 cabin's away for the elevators. Gives you direct access to the Garden Cafe (buffet) deck 11, the Venetian Dining Room (main) deck 7 and port of call gangway deck 4. Very nicely situated.  Read entire member review.

We had a BB cabin (balcony 10th deck). The balcony was great and I don't think I could ever sail without one! Our room was fine, not huge by any means. You really need to be neat! The bed was fantastic - I wish I could have taken it home with me! Bathroom was fine - the shower was excellent. The toilet area was very tiny. There are two plug outlets in the cabin - one in the bathroom and one near the desk. Enough hangers and if they're aren't, you get always get more. If you need anything, your steward will oblige. Ours certainly did. We gave him and his assistant an extra tip (the day after we sailed), and I know it wasn't mandatory, but it helped alot. We were on a first name basis after that! The turn down service was really nice, a different towel animal every night. I must admit that the cabins can use some sprucing up - they're starting to show some aging. And the balconies could use some painting. I just wish they would have washed the outside panels on the balconies on port days -they got pretty "foggy" due to the salt water. We had a mid ship cabin and it was a good choice.  Read entire member review.

Not enough storage and drawers. No conditioner in the shower. What happened to all the small bottles with the shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, cotton swabs, sowing kits? No chocolates on the pillow in the evening anymore?? TV was about 25 years old. Neighbours on the balcony SMOKING! Very annoying! You need to have a non-smoking section or floor!  Read entire member review.
