Family Balcony Cabins 28 Reviews
These connecting staterooms are perfect if you want to bring the kids along. They sleep up to three guests and include a sitting area, two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and a pull out sofa to accommodate one more. Not to mention the floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony for the whole family to enjoy.

Wonderful Dawn by Dei3Nascar8
8032 - Some of the bolt in the railing were rusting and with the water it was running down the support poles. Our balcony was also not wide open but cut out of the hull. Actually didn't mind it but was surprised. We expected an open balcony and were not told that it was this design but actually liked it as those on both sides of us could not see into our area without leaning over the railing. Very private and we actually liked the design. We would not choose this but will also not try to avoid getting it again.  Read entire member review.

YELP! NCL'S LOST by bdancer21
8526 Sold as upgraded balcony. HOWEVER, is a partially obstructed view balcony. Balcony has large steel plate window cut out with a plexiglass "rail." Horrible looking with rust streaming down the chipped white painted steel. No picture of that anywhere in NCL literature or internet. Not the normal aluminum railed balcony. DON'T BOOK!!!! A real excitement killer!  Read entire member review.

Hulled balcony (but nice nonetheless), great location-near elevators but far enough away not to hear everyone near them.  Read entire member review.

Balcony cabin was what we expected, adequate.  Read entire member review.

Southern Caribbean on the Dawn by Tennessee Travelers
The cabin location was excellent for getting around the ship. It was close to the elevators for moving around the ship with just a short walk to the rear entrance to the Internet lounges back door. The room for the most part was quite and very little motion from the ship was felt. Storage was more than adequate. I would request this cabin if I cruise the Dawn again.  Read entire member review.

Closet doors broken, but still hinged. Close to the crew doors for the floor, so somewhat noisy.  Read entire member review.

Dawn Disappointment by Magnolia108
Quiet Balcony cabin, closet good enough for 2 people. Toilet area had a slight odor. Rear of ship, a little difficult maneuvering around the ship. Were advised to walk to mid ship first, then take elevators. Many in this area found it confusing.  Read entire member review.

Cabin and balcony was average size but shower was biggest we have ever had, except in a suite. OK for two but I could not ever put anyone else in any one of these cabins. Steward, Neval, was very good (but our experience is that they tend to be the nicest people on any ship). Near aft location was fine but this cabin and those on each side suffer from having the linen storage across the hall. Hence, there is a lot of coming and going and chatter among the stewards in the morning. The hall was otherwise quiet, nothing like the Sunshine last year which was like a party on the 405 even at midnight.

Tiny room, bathroom was so small it was hard to go to the bathroom. Great location, no noise and pretty close to the elevators.  Read entire member review.

Good location, quiet floor with no public areas above or below. However, was the crew ice closet across from us which was a bit noisy but nothing too intrusive.  Read entire member review.

We were in cabin #9722 and it was very quiet and fairly close to aft elevators. The buffet was on deck 12 aft, so that was convenient. Everything else was located more toward the middle of the ship so we did a lot of walking. Cabins on Norwegian are smaller than the ones on other cruise lines we have been on. Two twin beds were made into a king-size bed and it was extremely comfortable! The room was attractive and clean. There was a flat screen television in the cabin, but it got very few channels and had no pay-per-view movies to watch. Surprisingly, you are not able to check your expense balance on the t.v. so we had to go to guest relations a couple times to ask them to print out our expenses. The shower in the bathroom was quite large and had glass doors which was nice. On the other side of the shower was a sink. The toilet had its own enclosure. Beware: I do not exaggerate when I say you are a few inches of the wall on all sides of the toilet area. Warning: I must again warn people who book cabins on deck 8 (like we did last year) that the Spinnaker lounge is on deck 7 aft and they party until about 3 a.m. with loud music. Last year, we were awake all night long with music from the band and then a DJ. On deck 9, we did not hear a thing.  Read entire member review.

9722- loved the aft location of the ship. Easy access up or down to get to everything you need. Venetian Dining Room, pool, garden buffet, Spinnaker, kid's area.  Read entire member review.
