Oceanview staterooms with partially or obstructed views are a great value. They feature a picture window providing natural light and added ambience. You'll find them comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities of an interior stateroom.
Our cabin was supposed to be an obstructed one, but there were only the "catwalks" outside our window...no life boat. We had a really good view of the surrounding area. Princess cabins are really good lots of closet space, & drawer space. The bathrooms are ok, but they work well. The vanity is great. Nice to be able to sit down to do hair and makeup. Easy to get in and out of the bed (as long as you aren't too close to the front of the ship. Read entire member review.
At 2600 passengers, the Star Princess is the largest ship we have sailed on. We had a room with an obstructed view which wasnt very obstructed at all. We decided we didnt need a balcony since it would probably be too cold to use it much of the time in Antarctica which it was. Read entire member review.
Excellent view for an "obstructed oceanview". The obstruction was very minor. Great location for getting around the ship - just a few steps down the hall to the fore elevator lobby, down one flight of stairs and out the door to the Promenade Deck. Read entire member review.
