Aloha 419. midship, deck 12. There is some "sway" but it isn't bad. Balcony cabin with standard size room, closet and bath. You do hear some chair movement from the Lido Deck above during the day - but we didn't hear it in the room only when we were on the balcony. There is a pool at the aft end of deck and the coin-laundry and ironing boards/irons were not far down the hall -- which was helpful on a 10 day cruise. Our room was a few doors down from the mid-ship elevators which I thought might be noisy but it wasn't a problem at all - in fact it was nice not to have to trek to far down the hallway.

The room was kept cool, which I like but while at sea I would have liked an extra blanket some nights -- didn't see that the extra was stored under the bed until I checked there at the end to be sure nothing had slipped under the bed --- moral of the story -- if you need a blanket, pillow, extra towel etc.... just ask!

Plenty of drawers, closet space and a cupboard with shelving and the safe.

The balcony cabin appeared smaller then other lines, the bed was really hard, the location was great, balcony was great, closet space amazing and the bathroom was way too small!  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was A317. Plenty of closet space which separate of bedroom area. Balcony was very spacious although I did not like the balcony flooring - type of rubber/plastic and certainly not decking type of flooring. Also did not care for the Star Princess design where you look over lower deck cabin balconies rather than straight down onto the sea For the extra you pay for a balcony cabin it certainly seems worth it  Read entire member review.
More coffee sir ? by edition10
Lovely cabin. Plenty of hanging space for clothes etc. Small balcony but ideal for two. Some noise early in the morning as chairs / tables were being dragged across the floor above ( pool area ? ). Bathroom small but perfectly functional. Views from balcony brilliant, however, would often be shaded by deck overhang above so did not get as much sunshine as lower balconies - but also was not overlooked as lower balconies.  Read entire member review.
Not your best choice by Cruise Xpert

The size and amenities of the stateroom are average.

Starboard side balcony great for arrivals (particularly Venice) & departures. One flight below Horizon Court - easy to fetch morning coffee.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was located in a great spot on the Aloha deck. There was no noise from the lido deck above us and that was a huge concern for me. The closet space was more than adequate for 2 women. Ship docked on our side of the ship on every port so again, great location. Shower was my only negative.

A525 - was fantastic. Well located. Down one flight of stairs from the Horizon Court and the Lido Deck. We were very happy with it.

A601 - great mid-ship balcony cabin. No problems at all.  Read entire member review.
A624 is a nice balcony room. But it is across from a food freight elevator that sevices the Horizons Dining room. From about 3 am. food trolleys were slammed around, into and out of the elevator. I was repeatedly woken up and had to resort to wearing earplugs.  Read entire member review.

All was well til the end. by Softball Jack

This was a wheelchair cabin. So it was bigger then the standard balcony cabin. It had plenty of room and we would take it every time we cruised. Location was perfect.

11th Floor, Baja Deck, is highly recommended since nobody can see down into your balcony from above. There's lots of storage space, a huge closet, and the bathroom was very adequate.  Read entire member review.

Our balcony stateroom on Deck 11, mid deck was much smaller than what we had that was supposed to be similar to Royal Caribbean. Closet was small, balcony very small, cabin laid out strange so you had no room to relax. Only one easy chair where on Royal Caribbean we had a two person couch. Bathroom was adequate, but had very little storage. Our cabin was very quiet.

Layout was out a lot better than other lines and ships: made better use of the small available space. Despite the age of the ship most of the furniture and fixtures were un-damaged, solid and they worked.
The balcony in the "BB" cabin while small was certainly adequate for the two of us. Don't spend the extra money on a "premium balcony" cabin which is the same size room, but a much larger balcony.

We had a balcony cabin on Baja deck. The cabin was well maintained and we had plenty of space for all of our belongings. While the balcony area is small, it is fine for 2 people.  Read entire member review.
Great Cabin. Nicely located. Very quiet. Right between two elevators. Balcony was a bit smaller than those on Caribe deck, but more private  Read entire member review.
B634 is a nice sized room with a balcony that overlooked balconies 2 decks below us. Sometimes the best scenery wasn't off the ship!  Read entire member review.
Great time by banning high

B-636- Quiet location- easy walk to elevators and laundry. Closet is ok. Bathrooms are adequate but I prefer a mini suit for space. I thought my mattress was too hard however my husband was ok. I asked for and received a "fluffier" pillow.

Quiet room near the stairs and buffet. Great views from the balcony. Room of normal size for a cruise ship. TV had a line in the middle of the screen.

Lots of storage, a little dated but a place for everything. Loved having a balcony and was a quiet hall since in the back. Ask for egg crate mattress and robes at start of week.  Read entire member review.

We were aft of ship and there was a lot of vibration. Although we were on deck 11 it did not seem to matter. Not sure if that was felt mid or forward. Of course the bathroom was very small, especially the shower. The curtain did not go all the way to bottom and water kept going out onto floor. Had to be very careful how we took showers. Also, the Steward requested that towels would be replaced every two days. No big deal, we obliged.

Clean, pleasant, serviceable - close to laundry. No complaints . . . other than the room attendant who threw away my chocolate. Actually, he was very nice, always greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed in the cabin. We enjoyed the deck a lot, spent a lot of quality time just relaxing, watching the waves.

Balcony cabin C209 is an excellent choice - very near front of ship - great views from balcony - so now I am hooked on a balcony room - and quiet location, in part due to a bit of walk from central elevators. Good strategy from Princess - received 2 upgrades from partially obstructed to balcony and a $400 price drop from the time we made our deposit in early 2011. Although the non-smoking policy hasn't kicked in yet (kudos for Princess for the new policy) I hardly noticed smoke from those on nearby balconies.  Read entire member review.
We liked our Princess cabin (but our 9 NCL cabins were generally more spacious, including the bathrooms). Our balcony was more spacious than NCL--but had an annoying water pipe which appears in many of our photos of Cape Horn and the glaciers! I liked the closet space and its accessibility. Our steward was amazingly hard-working, always vacuuming, yet everytime I knelt down to pick something up I had smudges on my knees from the carpet.  Read entire member review.

This cabin was just what we expected as we always choose one in this area. Bed was head to bow which is perfect for us. It did appear to us that the safe was new and a little smaller as my wife's purse used to fit in there and did not this time. Perhaps they were changed out during the drydock? The new dispensers in the shower were not in the way at all. The new TV's functioned fine and were easy to use.

Our cabin was on the Caribe deck, C251. I love the Caribe deck because the balconies are HUGE! Our room was nice. I just wish the showers were bigger. Who designed them? I don't need a HUGE closet. We only used a section of it. I need a SHOWER! I hate cruise ship showers. Other than the shower, everything was great. Comfy bed, nice balcony, plenty of closet space. The cabin was in the front of the ship, on the 10th floor. Princess Theatre was just 3 flights down on the nearest elevator. We had a bit of a walk to get to other places, but we didn't mind.  Read entire member review.
A great vacation! by SharkieRools

Nice size cabin, balconies on this deck are twice as deep as other decks and are half covered/half uncovered. Could have used a few touch ups on the balcony (walls had stains also some weird stains on the railing.). Bathroom was nice and clean with a new shower curtain (still had the folds in it.). Comfy bed with pillow top mattress. Cabin Steward was just OK, nothing outstanding. Sometimes did a sub par job in the evenings.

Princess gave us an upgrade to a premium balcony stateroom without our asking. Thank you Princess Cruises. The cabin was more than adequate for us. Of note, the balcony on deck 10, one above the mini suites is twice as large as the regular balcony for a standard room with balcony. The only negative that can be said is about the bathroom. The shower is minuscule as it is 27 inches by 27 inches. They also only provide body gel soap and gel shampoo. We bought a soap bar for our trip. Details like that deter from the excellence of the rest; it was all that the passengers talked about.

The sink overflow drain is not connected to the sewer; rather it empties directly on the shelf below the sink. It is therefore important not to put anything that can be affected by water on that shelf. There are minor technical issues that are likely age related such as bathroom door that does not close properly or toilet cover that is loose.

Contrary to what we had read the vacuum toilet system worked just fine and there were no bad odors anywhere on the ship. This is a grand old Princess.

As is usually the case, we had a very good room steward who was very attentive to our needs and always cheerful.

Good enough by Still vertical
C701 is a wonderful Caribe deck balcony cabin, Standard balcony cabin size, which is very adequate for 2 people, The best part is the large size of the balcony, AND the fact that it is half covered. The bathroom is adequate and has decent storage, though the shower stall is kind of small. A "person of size" might find it claustrophobic and confining. The cabin closet for hanging clothing is large, plenty of hangers provided, and the cupboard-style closet has 6 shelves, so plenty of storage in there. There's also 4 drawers in the desk and 2 in each nightstand.  Read entire member review.

First Time on Princess by stlouiscardsfan
Private hallway, very quiet, best balcony in the BB category. Only one neighbor which is a suite. Some noise/vibration from thrusters as you enter port.  Read entire member review.

The room was great! Our first time in an aft balcony and we loved a few things about this room. It is at the end of a dead end hallway, so it is very quiet. Never heard anything from neighbors or hall noise. The balcony was big! We spend a lot of time on our balcony so it was a nice surprise. I did go barefoot on the balcony once. My feet were black coming back in. Not sure if it was just dirty or if there is some soot that settles on it. The noise from the wake and thrusters was loud. Very loud. We actually liked it and slept with the door open at night. Overall a good room.

Caribe 301
California coastal by Estoniankid

Caribe 301 .

Room quiet. Not disturbed at all. Close to forward elevator and laundry. Nice balcony, bed was comfy. Everything worked. No problems with shower or hot water. No motion issues other then when we hit some weather leaving SF.
Only issue was cleanliness in areas that don't show. Corners and edges around bed not cleaned in quite a while.
My only suggestion is you choose a room mid boat. All the dining and most activities seem to be aft. Seemed like we were always walking the boat length going to and fro.
In my opinion, Princess is a middle of the road cruise line. If your picky or expect luxury, choose another cruiser

Aft BB Balcony. 33% bigger than normal Caribe balconies. Sheltered, private, no wind, fully covered, great views, a little more motion than midships, highly recommended.  Read entire member review.
We were on Caribe with a balcony. Room size is fair. Balconies are larger than others in this category on other decks so that was nice. Bed was very comfortable, and pillows ( 2 per person) seemed new. Bathroom very small, only a "one person at a time" bathroom. Hanging space ample, but shortage of hangers, so bring a few of your own that you can leave behind.  Read entire member review.

Great location close to mid-ship. Balcony provided a wonderful view. Only problem is that I never want to cruise without a balcony.

A519 - midships, quiet, balcony looked over on others, but no one looked over on us.

Good cabin, met all our qualifications. We had the view we wanted. Would like to see the shower curtains disappear on the next refurb and a glass sliding door installed. Perhaps a foot rest could be added also for easier washing of the feet I had not thought about it but no doors on the closet is a real plus for ease of use and making the room feel larger.  Read entire member review.
love the cabin if you can get this one. next to the suites n the back end of the ship extra large balcony. love it  Read entire member review.
