We had booked an inside guarantee pretty last minute (three weeks before departure) because it was such a great deal. We were, of course, hoping that we would be one of the lucky folks to get an upgrade to a balcony, especially since 80% of the cabins on this ship have them but no such luck this time. The day before departure, we did get assigned cabin A203 on the 12th deck, and the cabin most forward on the ship. Upon arrival there were documents for another passenger in our "mailbox" and their names were on the place card by the door. We did point out the error to our cabin steward who claimed that someone must have received an upgrade and that she would fix it. By day five our name was by the door but we did, again, receive the other passenger's excursion tickets which we handed to the cabin steward. The cabin was smaller than most we have been in as there was no seating area (most cabins do have a couch). I did like having the shelving and closet areas separated from the rest of the cabin (this was behind a wall, by the bathroom, and there were plenty of hangers to hang all of our shirts, dresses, jackets and suits. The beds were firm but comfortable but the pillows sank all the way to the mattress when you put your head on them. The television selections were extremely limited and were canned programming based on a schedule released by Princess. Little disappointed, especially since we spent more time in our cabin than usual on this trip. Read entire member review. |

Princess Insides are on the small side but have lots of storage. No complaints with this stateroom and steward. Got an outstanding rate on it! Read entire member review. |

WE were on Baja midship....our inside room was fine. The first part of the cruise was very quiet. The 2nd part we had a family come in across the hall that had a 4yr. "screamer" that was a "trial" for us. We were 5 doors from the glass elevators which was very convenient....but to go to the Horizon court in the back was a very long walk ! Great location, but there was a working area above us and there was sometimes noise, especially around 6 am. Read entire member review. |

All inside, outside and balcony cabins on the Star Princess are adequate, good storage, new LCD TV, beds are comfortable and the bathroom average size........The best buy is a mini suite on any Princess cruise ship, the suites are large, walkin closets, bathroom with tub and shower and great sitting area both inside the suite and the balcony area............ Stateroom: D312 on the Dolphin Deck (9) - inside cabin on the Port side, not that we could ever tell, no windows. this was next to what must have been a service corridor or elevator bank, but we really only heard noises on departure day (delivery luggage)and arrival day (luggage pickup), we were close to the forward elevators, and not too terribly far from the main elevator landing. This room was definitely doable. plenty of closet space, a silly table of no value, can be put in closet though (note for next time) Bring along a can of febreze, these are small quarters, and an extension cord (12 foot) just in case. the free in room safe was of great comfort. we did not use the small fridge at all. Internet should be free, or at least free within the confines of the ship. a down loadable app for the daily newsletter would be great? just a thought. Read entire member review. |
