No other balconies right in front of it, so we didn't have any smoke blowing back towards our balcony. Also, for those looking at this room in the future, yes there is a lifeboat right where the room next to you would be, but don't worry about it messing with the view, 99% of the time it was a non-issue. 4208/4210 - Standard Balcony cabins with a little couch that made up into a third bed - we had three people in each cabin. Balcony was small but nice. Cabins directly above the dining room but we never heard anything. I had a Balcony this time I was not as Impressed as I was on the Inspiration though, and it was an ocean view,I had picked my room better myself last time but Damian my cruise guy did this time, I will trust myself next time... he knew what I requested,but just didn't deliver the right Balcony.. We had cabin 5236. This is one of the obstructed view cabins with the extended balcony. It is 3 times the length of the balconies on either side of us. It is called obstructed view because of the life boats being directly beneath you. This was no problem because you can still see straight out and it was very little problem for the cheaper price. Room 8181 Our room was nice. Balcony view was great! The only negative thing about this room is it is on the Panorama deck and is directly below the LIDO DECK. If they have nightly activities on the deck.....you will hear it. If you like to sleep late....you will be awakened to deck chairs moving and footsteps. Did not bother us particularly, but was something I noted and will definitely consider on my next trip. My children stayed in room 8233 and it was about the same. We had never had a balcony room before so I loved it!! We were below lido deck (which was very convenient), but where we were located, we hardly heard anything. Late at night you could hear the chairs etc being moved around, but I sleep with ear plugs anyway so it didn't bother me. I thought the cabin was clean with plenty of room and places to put your clothes (I brought a lot too). Make sure you use the drawers in the sofa too and also bring some extra hangers. The balcony was very private. Our cabin steward was great - brought ice to us 3 times a day. We purchased a bottle of rum and vodka through the ship and brought a bottle of wine each on board and diet coke. That was just enough for us. I purchased 2 boat drinks. Standard balcony room, no obstructions. Beautiful views since we were high up. Very, very noisy all night long since we were right below the Lido deck. Room was clean but slightly outdated. TV was old and didn't work all the time. Electrical outlet, there was only 1 and stuff barely charged in it. 3 large closets and some cabinets throughout. Suitcases fit under main bed. We actually had two cabins; one balcony and one interior across the hall for our 18 & 20 year old kids on the Panorama Deck 8 (one floor down from the Lido, aft section and if I may do so, I do recommend this cabin area - very good location since you are a single flight of stairs up to the Serenity Lounge section of the Lido Deck (adults 21 and over) and the Ledo "food court" and forward pool areas. I could go on all day about what we enjoyed about the cabin location, air conditioning, balcony, service staff, etc. but to summarize, it was excellent for us and I will gladly respond to any questions that you send.  Read entire member review.
