Our cabin was #6024 2C Veranda. The room dor is a bit old. The bedspread seemed a little past its prime (but who touches those anyway?). And the orange fabric motif on the curtain and headboard thing isnt my style. I still dont understand the headboard fabric panels with baroh well. The room was very clean. Our stateroom attendant, Rafael, was the best we ever had. He really went out of our way to anticipate our needs.
The real selling feature of this room is the balcony. Being twice as deep as a standard balcony is really nice. We asked for two additional chairs so we could prop our feet up and invite friends over for wine before dinner. Rafael got us two great chairs with wooden backs and pads. We used the balcony every morning for coffee and croissants before getting ready.
We didnt hear any noise from the theater below or from the cabins below. I would not hesitate to book this cabin again or recommend it to a friend.

Our sweet-sixteen cabin was great! The luxury of a huge balcony was wonderful. It would have been nice to have lounge chairs. The cabin itself was in OK shape. I don't believe the refurb spent too much time or $'s on this cabin class. Don't pick the first 6 cabins of these 16's. Read entire member review. |

Got into the cabin -- #6028 one of the so-called sweet 16 balcony cabins (so-called because they have double-size balconies), at about 1:30. Ive always chosen the same basic cabin class BB on Princess, D2 on RCL, VC on HAL, and now 2C on X. Out of the four lines Ive cruised, I found the general layout to be the best on the Summit. There was plenty of space to move around the bed, the little love seat next to the balcony was nice (better than RCLs placement in the interior, and much better than Princess uncomfortable armchair). The bathroom was small but very well and conveniently laid out. And although it didnt have a tub like HAL, it had a decent-sized shower that I found more than adequate and Im a plus-sized person.
There were only 3 very minor things I didnt like about the cabin: 1) the closet was small (thats one area where Princess crushes the competition!), 2) The TV was small and curiously, across the cabin from the loveseat, so that I had to angle my head uncomfortably to see it, and 3) the balcony furniture consisted of 2 regular-sized chairs and a tiny table. On Princess and HAL, the same class cabin provided a larger table and a lounge chair! Read entire member review. |

Our 2C cabin (6029) was very much like other cruiseship staterooms we have bunked in but with a few nicer features. Real wood paneling, floor to ceiling mirrors, attractive drapes & light fixtures, bathroom toiletries and a very comfortable bed w/ rounded space saving corners, clever...The oversized balcony was the best feature. The AC/Heat was very responsive. The shower was a good one. The bathroom size worked. Overall we loved our cabin, especially that big balcony.

Extended balcony without an extended price! We could easily fit 6 chairs and 3 small tables on the balcony for dinner one night. This is the same as the other deck 6 balcony staterooms from 6035 and forward. Read entire member review. |

Too small to have a coffee table in the room with the single sofa bed open. They had to store the table on the balcony. Read entire member review. |

We were in cabin 6048. This was an oceanview room with a balcony. This particular room is on the corner of the ship where the room next to ours juts out, widening the ship there. That meant that our room had a larger balcony than the others on our floor but it was triangular shaped instead of rectangular. There are evidently 2 of these rooms per floor. Having a bit of extra room outside was nice.
There was ample space for storage for two people, with a large two door closet and a third door that opened to a 6 drawer dresser, with a tall shelf on top. The safe was on a shelf above in this closet.
There are 2 drawers on either side of the bed and there are 2 shelves on either side of a mirrored table. There was a usable shelf above the TV and the refrigerator is below the TV. You have to ask for it to be unlocked, but then there is a drawer for storage above the refrigerator.
There are 2 outlets by the mirrored table and the ice bucket and fresh water with glasses are sitting on here as well.
There was a small couch with a glass table near the sliding glass door, for additional seating.
The room was laid out well and had plenty of room, but needs updating badly. The carpet on the floor is faded and worn with stains. The curtains have noticeable repaired areas instead of being replaced and the couch, although comfortable was in need of a good cleaning.
The bathroom was small by standards we are accustomed to, but it was sufficient. There were 2 shelves over the sink and plenty of under the sink cabinet space. The shower is of adequate size, but the shower curtain leans in on you as you are showering, taking up space and causing a constant fight with the curtain. Even magnets at the bottom of the curtain to hold it to the bottom of the shower would help.
The room was far enough away from the elevators to be quiet. The only noise was from inconsiderate people walking down the hallways and talking loudly late at night. We couldn't hear any noise coming from above or below our room.
The room was pretty forward on the ship and was about 5 rooms aft of the forward elevators. It was a very smooth cruise without a lot of harsh movement except for one evening and morning where the seas were a bit rockier. The room was much more comfortable as far as movement when you compare it to the level of movement at the back of the ship. Read entire member review. |

The balcony cabin was just large enough. It was very pretty and well designed. It could use some electricity in the bathroom. Read entire member review. |

Cabin; Our cabin was #6069-2C. It was a outside, balcony and convertible to three beds. The room appeared in good shape and perhaps had been recently remodeled. The bathroom was small, but no smaller than what we had experienced in the past. It was as clean and well laid out as any we had been in. Our room steward team (Edwin and Simpson) where always in the hallway or cabin down the way if we needed anything. We did make some request of them and they obliged. I would say of all the cruises I have been on they where effective, efficient, but certainly not personable. I dont need them to wait on me hand over foot. I was happy that we needed little interaction. But in comparison with other room stewards, I knew little about them in the end. Which was fine, but also prevented us from feeling a personal connection to them or the need to recognize them with an additional tip beyond the standard deduction. I would recommend the balcony. Even if you end up spending little time out there. The time you do spend, in port or at night just before bed, is a peaceful and worthwhile expense. We opted for the sofa to be unfolded and stay as a bed for the majority of the cruise. The other option was a pull down above the two singles. We had experienced the pull down last year and I was not happy be suspended (300lbs) above two other, unsuspected sleeping cabin mates. Edwin did add the mattress from the pull down to the sofa bed at my request, which made the sofa bed a much more enjoyable lateral sleeping location for 7 nights. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 7061. Very clean, but there looks to be some mold starting on the shower curtain in the bathroom. Also, we had trouble with the toilet not flushing. Read entire member review. |

Light, airy (the mirrors help a lot). Pleasant decor. A bit snug compared to Carnival's cabins but comfy anyway. A bit short on cabin shelf space compared to HAL or Disney. Read entire member review. |

Balcony on 7th deck has an overhang from deck 8 so it seemed a little closed in. Pick deck 6 or 8 to avoid these overhangs.
Rooms are small but adequate. Didn't spend much time in them. Read entire member review. |
