Beautiful decor - comfortable bed - not noisy - conveniently close to midship elevators  Read entire member review.

Very clean, plenty of space but wished that the light upon entering the stateroom didn't illuminate the entire room...only the closet area. Found it disturbing to want to look in the closet or even come into the room when my cabin-mate was asleep...the bright lights came on all over the cabin.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 7047 was comfortable with plenty of storage space. Being a middle deck, I usually took the stairs up a few flight to pool and buffet or down a few flights to lounges and dining room. Balcony gave it a light airy feeling. It was a connecting cabin so you saw light from under the door of cabin next door and heard conversation as if they were in your room. It was the end of cabins they consider front and next to 7049 which they consider midship and a higher class. We booked 7049 for next year because it has a larger balcony that can fit a lounge chair, but I don't like that you can see into other balconies. In 7047 you could only look straight ahead and not into other balconies. I have to weigh the pros and cons.  Read entire member review.

(This also appears in my main cruise review.)
My family was on Deck 7 starboard. My husband and I were in Stateroom 7049. One word: Beautiful. Sparkling clean, possibly the hugest deck we’ve ever had, a very comfortable bed, and glorious stateroom attendants. My parents and sister's staterooms (7053 and 7040, respectively) were also very nice and had superior service from their stateroom attendants.

As an aside, though, Celebrity needs to do something about their TV service. There are people (like me) who prefer to hang out in their staterooms and just chill out on sea days. I had some great naps and enjoyed sitting on the huge veranda with a book and a cup of hot tea & cookies from the fabulous room service. But watching TV was an annoying experience. I did love the interactive TV – I liked being able to review my expense account on a daily basis so I didn’t overindulge. But while I enjoyed watching “Big Bang Theory,” “Modern Family,” and “How I Met Your Mother,” airing the same episodes over and over and over and OVER AND OVER for 2 weeks became pretty monotonous. Celebrity can use 1 or 2 channels for ship stuff, not 9 or 10. They need to get a better dish so most of the remaining channels don’t read “Poor Signal.” They need to update the bow camera channel with the correct ports of call (it said Charlottetown while we were in Quebec, both days) or spell them correctly (where on earth is New Fondland?). They need to add a lot of free movies and whole seasons of TV shows. Disney Cruise Line has one up on them on this.

Lots of storage, nice layout, quiet.  Read entire member review.

The cabin seemed small to me but my husband liked it better than others we have been on. Balcony is small and overlooks lifeboats. It holds two chairs and a small table. One wall in the cabin is covered in mirrors which is sort of freaky, but once again, cruise ship style. The location is very good. Close to stairs and elevator but not too close. Also a good spot on Deck 7 because you are a few decks below the pools and buffet at Deck 10 and a few decks above the dining room.  Read entire member review.

7141 is an accessible cabin with easy access to elevators and no hallway to maneuver. The balcony was not accessible without using a manual ramp that was heavy and hard to handle. Disable husband did not use the balcony. Newer ships have no threshold to balcony.
Bathroom was large but needed updated. Tile was cracked and old.

The Summit is a relatively old ship, so we didn't expect much. We were in 7151. We really liked it for location -- near exterior glass elevator but not too near. Near stairs and we could walk up or down the couple of flights to get to where we needed to be. Had a sort of love seat, very small. But adequate. Night tables were quite small. Why can't ships have electrical outlets on the headboard side of staterooms? Is that a law or something? We were overall very please with our home away from home.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was kind of tight but included a small couch and desk. The veranda had two chairs and a table. The room included adequate storage for two. We got what we paid for in the cabin.

We did pick a cabin with a veranda and this was the first time I had one. On my other cruises I had either a port hole or window. With that being said I would probably never go on a cruise without one. Did I mention we had 4 people in the cabin and 3 of them were women. So when we were trying to get ready I was able to sit back and relax outside with a drink and enjoy the view. So lets talk about the cabin a little more. The Summit is an older ship but nothing was broken. Everything was clean and well maintained so I had no issues with my room. Yes, all cabins are a little tight especially with 4 people in it but the stewards were great. They setup the other two beds every night and put them away during the day which gave us a little more room to walk around. I did see something in a post and I was so glad I listened. Bring a Power Strip for additional outlets. Let me give you an example you have two outlets in your cabin and you have 4 cell phones a hair dryer and a straightener. I only brought one power strip and it was plenty.

Old, worn rugs, bedspread. Soap dispenser in room did not work. Hairdryer was horrible. Balcony was rusting, railing was half scraped.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin was quiet and overall very acceptable. Unfortunately, it was perpetually on the warmish side, 72 to 74 degrees at the coolest with the thermostat cranked as low as it could possible go for the entire cruise. On most every other ship we've been on, cranking the thermostat to the coldest position would have frozen all but the most cold-blooded cruisers, but not this cabin. I typically sleep with the thermostat set on 69 to 70, so this made sleeping only marginally comfortable for me. On the days we left the curtains to the veranda open, the room was intolerably hot and took hours to cool down. We only made that mistake once! We often noted that our hallway was cooler than our room. We put in a several requests to the front desk staff asking if they could lower the room temperature any, but it wasn't something they could apparently fix. The front desk staff checked on us continually and even sent us a bottle of champagne to help cool us off. Still, their efforts didn't result in solving the problem.  Read entire member review.

8153 (veranda balcony cabin) category 2A or 2B, I think. Smaller cabin but very comfortable. Would be a stretch for three adults, but two adults and a child would probably be OK. This cabin has an incredible amount of storage space and was in a great location (short walk to two flights of steps & elevators; two flights up puts you right at Oceanview cafe and pool deck). Veranda was nice sized, very comfortable. NOTE: Be mindful to check on which side of the ship where smoking is allowed if you are a smoker or you don't want to be around smokers. The Summit allowed smoking on the left side of the ship (including verandas and outside decks, not inside).  Read entire member review.

Great location with an overhang from the salon above to protect you from the sun. Easy access to elevators, and just up a quick flight of stairs to the AquaSpa area (pool, spa, healthy breakfast/lunch alternative)  Read entire member review.

For deck 9, avoid being under the pool deck.  Read entire member review.

Nice, shaded balcony (shaded from 10th floor overhang above). We heard no noise whatsoever at any time, but we didn't spend much time in the room. That being said, with how port intensive the itinerary is, this would be one cruise that a balcony lover could easily be satisfied with an outside cabin if it came down to it.  Read entire member review.

Great location (near aft elevators to restaurants) for a person with mobility problems. Big shower & lots of drawer, closet & shelf space. One of us uses a walker, which folded for storage on the balcony (or in the shower!).
