Balcony Cabins 48 Reviews
Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.

Carnival Destiny 6186,; Balcony cabins are a must. Ours had plenty room for two people, the views are unforgettable. our cabin, , was near the elevators, and cabin stewards room (supplies) no noise problem from either. for first time cruisers, the room size reminds me of most motels,(just referring to the size). Our cabin had a queen size bed, two closets for hanging, two cabinets with shelves, four drawers, and another closet, with extra blankets, life jackets, and more storage space. The bathroom was a little cramped, but adequate, had a blow dryer, and enough counter space, for two people to share toiletries. suite cases will fit under the bed for storage we kept three there.  Read entire member review.

1 king bed, one couch than turned into a bed and one bunk. We had plenty of room for 4 people. Quiet area of the ship, no complaints.  Read entire member review.

Lots of storage space, a bit chilly even with the vent turned way down, balcony is fabulous, close to activities, quiet  Read entire member review.

Great location, quiet with cabins above & below, bathroom shower huge but the layout is awkward with the toilet facing the shower on an angle. Water temp in the shower would change very suddenly & water pressure was poor. Beds were so comfy & my daughter loved the bunk that pulled out of the ceiling.  Read entire member review.

Closet space was horrible. The other ships have shelves for clothes. This ship has to whole closets for hang up clothing. Waste of space. Balcony is a must, it was decent size. We had to ask the steward to lock the bottom locks on the dividers or it will rattle. Great view of sunrise in Miami. Couch was comfy but not big enough for a person, but the upper berth was big enough for my 6'1" son. Beds need updating, they are in need of refurbishment.  Read entire member review.

Our room 8189 was a balcony room on the Verandah level. The room was midship and 7 doors down from the rotunda elevator lobby. I would recommend this location to anyone who is considering this ship. The lido deck is where many of the activities take place so being just below it is very convenient, but the room was far enough forward that there were other rooms above us so we didn't have to hear everything above us. The size of the room was nothing spectacular but we had more than enough room for the two of us to not be tripping over each other. The shower was big enough that my 6' 360 pound frame could fit with room to spare so that was good. It would have been nice if the room had one of the nice flat screen TVs that we saw in a few other rooms as we walked through the halls. The color scheme of the room was definitely dated and the pink sink could use a change but overall the bed was comfy and I would not mind to be in the room on a future cruise.  Read entire member review.

Hellish Destiny by braveheart1
No complaints. Steward was one of the best we have ever had. Could have used a mini fridge.  Read entire member review.

We ended up in cabin 9134 which was forward on deck 9 (Lido). In fact we had the forward-most balcony on that deck. There was plenty of space in the cabin. We were very comfortable. This is the first time we've had a balcony, and it was worth every penny. We loved having a view and being able to watch us pull into and out of each port. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of storage and closet space. And the layout worked fine. Even the bathroom was larger than other ships we've sailed on. There was enough room in the shower for two. The only negative on the stateroom (aside from a few signs of its age) was the color scheme. The carpet, the ceiling, the walls etc were all some shade of pink. The bathroom was a little over the top with the pink too. We had read in previous reviews that there was mold in the showers, but we only could see it if we looked really close. One more thing we didn't think about. We were directly below the gym/spa, so we could hear people running on treadmills all day long. So it made taking a catnap during the day very difficult. But at night, it was quiet. Our room steward "Nana" did an excellent job. Our room was always kept very clean. We had a new towel animal in our room every night. He even went as far to put our drinks on ice so they were cold when we'd get back from a day on port or when we were at dinner. Plus he was very nice, and always said hello and knew us by name when we saw him in the hallway. One thing I noticed, was there is no fridge in the room as there have been on our other ships.  Read entire member review.

Destiny once more by essellanden
Location was excellent. Lido midship, close to atrium but no noise at all. Some creaking ceiling boards that were silenced with folded paper. One minor issue: the vacuum toilet had to be repaired three times because it didn't flush properly. It was fixed quickly every time we called it in, but it seemed a structural problem because they had to do fix it several times.  Read entire member review.

Destiny first time cruise by Riverviewcruzer
Noisy in the evening when the party was in swing on Lido deck. Balcony was really private!  Read entire member review.

Our Balcony stateroom had a very small bathroom, with the door opening inward, instead of outward, which made it worse to enter and exit. The shower is larger than any other showers we've seen. The cabin is midship, and close to three sets of elevators, to get to locations quickly. Being on the Verandah deck, port side, gave us a great view of the shoreline of Grand Turk.  Read entire member review.
