Mid-Ship Oceanview Picture Window Cabins 46 Reviews
With room for up to four guests, these Oceanview Staterooms come with two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and additional bedding to accommodate up to two more guests, as well as a picture window with a great view. These are mid-ship staterooms, which means you'll be right near everything on board.

We were impressed with the size - it was bigger than it appeared when we looked at the pictures online at NCL.com. We were able to unpack our entire suitcase and fit the contents in the drawers - there were 6 or 7 deep drawers and a closet for clothes. We brought a door hanging bathroom back for all that and it was put to good use. There was also a room safe which we also used. The TV is a small, maybe 10" screen - runs a map of where you are, current weather/sea conditions, pool temps, etc. There were a few TV stations, and one station playing movies (new movies!) throughout. We didn't watch a lot of TV, just before bed and when we were getting ready. The showers were odd - not a lot of water pressure, and it was hard to get the temperature right, but it got the job done! There was a close line you could pull out in the shower too to hang up wet swim wear and towels. We were on deck 5 with a picture window, right below a high traffic area and it was very loud at night sometimes. We were also near the crew spaces, where they came out with carts and such, but that wasn't as loud as the people walking overhead. The picture window was great, but was covered with salt from the water so hard to see out clearly. We would like to try a balcony room, and definitely would do a picture window room again, nothing less than that as it was nice to have natural light and a view.  Read entire member review.

Located midway between front and mid-ship elevators. Under a walkway; sounded like elephants stampeding every evening at bedtime! Mattresses had big gullies, leading to difficulty getting out of bed and morning backaches.  Read entire member review.

We had a mid-ship ocean view cabin on deck 5 to minimize any motion if we encountered rough seas. the seas were mostly glass smooth in the Baltic. The cabin was very good, except we heard noise overhead from the walking corridor and especially from the Art Auction moving their stuff around using a "Cart" with a flat spot on one of the wheels. For our next NCL cruise, we are moving to the same type cabin on the opposite side of the shop under one of the specialty restaurants to minimize the overhead noise. We think this will make it a very good location near both elevators at a good price point.  Read entire member review.

Our cabin functioned very well for us. We used the drop down upper bunk as a storage space for our large rolling duffle bags and our coats, etc. The cabin was in good condition and kept very clean by our cabin steward. This location was convenient to the two main elevators allowing easy access to wherever we needed to go.  Read entire member review.

5082 which was about mid-ship. Word of caution! - if you are a light sleeper, DO NOT select this cabin. It is below the Art Gallery and Gatsby bar, and passageway between Stardust and Spinnaker.  Read entire member review.

Disappointed by stephycpd
Family room sleeps 4, with trundle bed and folding bunk. Great location, right next to the gangway for getting off at ports and close to the elevators. There is quite a bit of noise from the foot traffic on the floor above.  Read entire member review.

It would be nice to have a sitting area however, the stateroom is adequate for two people. Bathrooms have glass doors to devide the toilet from the sink area. Showers are HUGE!  Read entire member review.

Freestyle Cruising by Craig Cole

Upper decks forward seemed very noisy when seas were rough. Our Deck five cabin amidships was fine, especially when we pulled the bed away from the wall to cut down on transmitted hull noise.

BELIEVE the reviews! *ARGH* by TRAVELINGWITH2KIDS
5592 was good and had a decent size picture window. It has a bunk bed and a pullout bed that turns the two twins into a king bed. It was comfortable; and, initially when we came in, it was clean. The dressers are real wood and nicely placed in the room. For a cruise cabin, it was a good size. For an old ship, the decor was good.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 5632 - sleeps 4 with one pull-down bunk, and 3 singles (2 made into a king-size? for my wife and I) across the end - think one gigantic bed across the end of the cabin with your head against the window and your feet toward the door). Plenty of storage, pretty quiet except for occasional metallic clanging noises coming from way down below (not really a problem unless you're a super light sleeper, and mostly only seems to happen during docking maneuvers). I don't think my wife or kids even noticed them (I'm the light sleeper and it really didn't bother me). Might be bit cramped with 4 adults, but I'd do it - we don't spend much time in the room. Nice ocean view window. Close to the Aqua and disembarking.  Read entire member review.

Noisy- Tiny but then we didn't pay a huge amount of money so I am not going to complain too much : ) OK for three, probably not four (unless a small child)  Read entire member review.

Plenty of room for me and my 6'4" husband. Sheets were a little stiff and noisy, but we had plenty of pillows. A great view from the picture window on Deck 5. Closet was big enough with enough hangers for 2 people for a 1 week cruise. The cabin was generally pretty quiet except when people let their children run loose in the halls.  Read entire member review.
