Although this seems wordy and may indicate that we didn't enjoy our cabin - that is not the case. I will give Cabin 9500 five stars. However, I could see how some things about our cabin might annoy people - so I will share the MINOR negatives. Cabin 9500, being so far forward, was quite uncomfortable to sleep in one night when it was rough since we were close to the bow slamming into the waves. We were over the Stardust theater and could hear all the shows very loud. It wasn't a problem for us - but it could be for someone who turns in before 10:30pm when the last show ends. Being far forward, it was a long walk to get anywhere. Also, it was up close to the bow deck where the crew goes to sit in their hot tubs. One evening, I was enjoying myself on our balcony and 3 girls and 1 guy (all crew members) I recognized from the Excursion Desk were in it. I don't think they realized that their voices carried over the noise of the spa motor. They were talking quite inappropriately and even acknowledged my presence and noted me at one point saying, "shh - it's one of those fuckin guests" and they all looked at me. I almost called for an officer to come talk to them about their voices carrying, but an officer showed up just then. I thought he was going to talk to them - but instead he took pictures of them. Anyway - if that was my most major complaint - then we did great. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 9500 aboard the Star is darker than they depict. When they say it's 500 sq feet they are including a 200 sq foot balcony deck. So the room is not as big an airy as it shows online.
Keep in mind you cannot sleep with your door open, or curtains open at night because this cabin is forward right under the bridge. The view is great but at night the bridge crew needs to see at night and light coming from your room prevents that.
You can feel the motion of the ocean forward more than if you have a mid-ship cabin.
This cabin is right above the Stardust Theater. You can hear all the music and performances that they practice if you go to bed before 10 PM. You can feel the boom boom boom. We got used it.

We had Penthouse AC 10500 and really enjoyed it. The two middle penthouse suites on deck 10 front of ship are the best because they have much more sq feet as the bridge is directly above.
The room was lovely and the service great. However.....this cabin is directly under the night club and our room was rocking all night long. We are young 37 & 47 and like to have fun, but it was too much. However I was shocked that they actually turned the music down in the club when we called. Read entire member review. |

Cabin 11090, Mini Suite. Mid-ship. Perfect location. Roomy. Couch hard as a rock. Everything worked. Bed a bit hard, but the egg crate fixed that when requested. No wear and tear that was obvious. Quite cabin, you can't hear the public areas above or below you. Read entire member review. |

11560 is a great cabin for a family. It can easily sleep six, but only two will sleep on a bed, everyone else sleeps on futons. The only complaint is that that shower and toilet doors are clear glass, fine for a couple, awkward for a family. Balcony was very nice, shower and bath tub were great. Read entire member review. |
