We were on level 6 which is one level up from the Promenade. We had the PR room. Love the window overlooking the promenade. Makes a psychological difference over an interior room. No, we did not have a noise from the promenade to worry about but looking out the window down to that level did end up picking up someones eyes looking up! That was creepy. Our room was in the center of the ship which was perfect. Personally, I will push my travel agent to book a PR room on deck 8, center, instead. The reason being that we eat breakfast and lunch at the Windjammer on deck 11 which is also where the pools are. I prefer to walk 3 flights of stairs over taking the elevator but 5 flights was really pushing it! Sure it was easier to walk down one level to the Promenade but deck 11 was the critical deck for us. FYI, by walking the steps on all the cruises I've been on, I've found that besides being healthier, I actually ended up loosing weight on each cruise by a couple pounds rather than gaining weight from the wonderful food.  Read entire member review.
A Very Enjoyable Cruise by davetheboss5

We normally book an Inside Cabin but were given a Promenade Cabin. A bit smaller than what we would normally book but comfortable. A bit of noise as we were just above the Sports Bar but any music stopped shortly after midnight. The room was okay but I would not pay extra for this type of room. Very central location.

Great view of promenade. Could hear some noise at night, but really only seemed loud on the last night.  Read entire member review.
If your budget is an inside stateroom, I would urge you to consider a Promenade Stateroom - it gives you a wonderful view of the Royal Promenade with a window sofa area. It really makes you feel part of the action and not so closed in as you may feel in a traditional inside stateroom. You can close the curtains on the action and retain total privacy if you wish. A little small in terms of size when set in a twin configuration - a very small amount of space between the beds and television, but perfectly adequate. Plenty of wardrobe space and a spacious bathroom.  Read entire member review.
A great summer break by Ollienbertsmum
Nice and light. Location above bar was noisy once the bar entertainment started. This went on from late afternoon to the early hours. Do not pick this cabin if you intend to have early nights !!  Read entire member review.

Promenade view was of guest services and the stair case. It was just above Champagne bar, this meant you couldn't see much of the promenade but this made it a quieter room. Was good to have a window but lighting was very dim. Cabin fairly spacious for 2 would be a squeeze for 3, no where to put suitcases and lack of draw and wardrobe space.

Nice cabin, liked the bay window and sofa. No problem with noise from the Promenade deck. Music and bands finished by 2300 hrs. Agree it is time the cabins and bathrooms were updated.

7609 is a Promenade cabin on the port side near the aft lifts. Handy for library and moving about ship. The window affords an element of light and space not normally found in an inside cabin. Toilet was small but adequate but shower was like a coffin. Due to its aft location it was not noisy even during the promenade deck parties. I think this is due to a wall like structure a couple of cabins along masking any noise. I think its also due to the fact that 7069 and 7011 look down into the atrium and a tall sculpture and so the parade doesn't make it this far along.  Read entire member review.
Good location in the middle of the ship overlooking the promenade  Read entire member review.
PR cabins are small, but functional.. Getting 2 connecting cabins is an economical way to cruise comfortably with kids. Having the view of the promenade makes a difference compared to a typical inside stateroom.  Read entire member review.
Cosy and clean, but a bit dated. Bathroom could do with a re-vamp but bed was massive and very comfy. View to promenade was nice and we were in a good position close to lifts and stairs etc.  Read entire member review.
We had an inside cabin overlooking the Royal Promenade on deck 8. Our location was fairly quiet and we had a great view of the activities taking place below.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was very dated in need of refurbishment. The bathroom had a shower which had chipped paintwork and rusty corners. The bin was rusty and the fittings poor and tired. The paint work in our room was terrible chipped, burn marks from an old cigarette was on the dressing table. The chair in the cabin was also chipped and dirty. Not normal standard for Royal Caribbean at all. The room was compact but good for two people. Plenty of hangers and space to put things on. No kettle however, which was provided to our friends in different rooms. The television was big bulky and old no plasma - very dated. The curtain was beige needed a good wash. I was exteremly dissapointed with our cabin it was not four stars as Royal Caribbean have said it was 2 stars.  Read entire member review.

I like the Promenade Staterooms. I think they are slightly larger than other inside cabins and they are not noisy. There is adequate storage and, happily, a kettle was provided in all cabins after the first three days. I believe that this was to take pressure off the room service staff.

The window seat, love seat and desk chair had huge stains. The bathroom needed updating, had several areas that were rusty and stained.  Read entire member review.

Room 8583 was just fune for us.  Read entire member review.
We had chosen a Promenade View as at the time of booking no outside staterooms were available. These staterooms have a window to the centre of the ship but the amount of light is limited so you need a light on at all times. In addition, there is entertainment on the Promenade Deck some nights going on up to midnight. If you want an early night as we did for an early start next day for a tour, forget it! Also as you have the light on there is no privacy from the staterooms oposite. Frankly, save some money and book an inside cabin.  Read entire member review.
We were in 8593 (Promenade) and 9558 (JS). The promenade room is fairly small, but manageable. Our steward was incredible and was always offering a helping hand when we needed it. (for 8593). I didn't stay in the JS, but it did look really nice. It was very large and had a double sized bathroom and a walk in closet. The balcony was also very large. We had no issues.  Read entire member review.
8597: Promendade Stateroom. Floor 8, middle of Ship. Port (left handside). Room is inner room facing Royal Promenade. Even with night entertainment, the windows insulate most of the music or ambient noise at night. Lifts only a walk away, next to Internet cafe.  Read entire member review.

Had a PR room. It was fine.. Nothing more.  Read entire member review.
The cabin met our expectations. Bed was a little hard and we needed to call maintainence to see if they could cool our room a little more, which they did in one hour. We brought our own hooks, but room could use more to hang items. We both have CPAP machines and there were no plugs by the nightstands next to the bed. We had extension cords running all over the floor, but our room steward did a good job running them for us.  Read entire member review.

Cabin not up to standard.

Great Cruise!!! by Paul Orler
Promanade room-adequate space, great view of the promanade area. Beds were very comfortable. The a/c does not blow but rather oozes from the ceiling vent. The room could have been a little cooler, but it was okay. I miss the blowing sound. I really liked the fact that the shower had a door rather than just a curtain. Overall, it was a very nice room.  Read entire member review.

The cabin was a bit on the small side but clean and suited my needs nicely.

Better When New by Jacque R
I love the PR rooms as they are great size and you can watch everything on the inside of the ship. The bay window is perfect. However-remember people can see you acroos the ship!  Read entire member review.
