Awesome room. The category does not include an oceanview but does have a window overlooking the Royal Promenade. Loved the curved shower doors in the bathroom and all the extra shelves tucked behind mirrors. This was an adjoining room and I would probably not book an adjoining unless using it. Noise does travel through the door. Did not feel any rocking of the ship in the slightly forward cabin. The cruise destination might have had something to do with this. This was the perfect choice for our first RCI voyage.

Was a nice room and I was surprised the noise on the Promenade was not distractive.

We selected this room because it was economical. Indeed, the room was small. There is very little drawer space, but there are shelves in the closet and a double clothes rod. Unfortunately, in order to access the safe, you physically have to get into the closet and be tall enough to reach it. However, you cannot get into the closet and open the bathroom door at the same time. In addition, it was difficult for two people to get around the bed (two adjacent twins made up into one large king size bed). There were stains on the sofa and carpet. The carpet was worn in one area. The mirrored cabinets were loosing their coating in places due to use. The refrigerator was never cold. Also, this is a very noisy room. There is a service area on one side of the room, where they collect and scrape the dirty room service dishes. The Promenade window is not soundproof. In fact, there is a speaker above the room which blasts music until 11:30 PM. We couldn't really get a good view of the parades from the angle of the room.  Read entire member review.

6595 - Nice interior promenade room, conveniently located. It is nice to have a "view" inside, but the room can be very loud, especially when the activities staff are holding a late night event on the promenade. Good room for night owl partiers.

Nice quiet location, close to the aft elevators/stairs. If you want a better view to watch the parades then move forward 6-7 rooms.  Read entire member review.
Ideal location and great view to the Promenade.  Read entire member review.

We had an interior room that looked over the promenade (deck 7 across from Cafe promenade) This room is convenient to the Palace theater and Exercise room/Spa but on the opposite end from the Windjammer and dining rooms. This is the second time we have cruised in a promenade cabin, and we really love it! It is nice to be able to look out and see what is going on in the ship - as well as a good spot for watching parades should you so wish. We have never been bothered by noise from the promenade - but then again, we have been careful to avoid rooms above or across from the pubs. Also, we tend to be night owls - so most stuff is shut down by the time we go to bed. Privacy is not an issue for us - we know how to close curtains.
However - our room was in dire need of updating! There were stains on the sofas, drawers that didn't work, worn/scraped/dinged furnishings and an outdated tube tv. Also, the shower could not maintain a steady temperature. It constantly cycled from tepid water to scalding hot! I know I also complained about this in the locker room - but I cannot ever remember this being a problem on any cruise in the past. Maybe this is a ship-wide problem with whatever they use to heat water.
Our room attendant - Rolando - was just about the best we have ever had! He always seemed to be working - and greeted us almost every time we left or returned! Our room stayed clean and he quickly fixed any problems we encountered (see drawer above) Plus he kept our ice bucket full!

Had promenade rooms on deck 7, #s 7561/7563. Good option for us as a family of 4 for the extra space and bathroom. Better value than 2 adjoining balcony rooms and we never felt closed in with view of promenade. These rooms provided a good view of the parades, they looked out directly across to the Cafe. A good location, only about 6 rooms down hall from front elevators. Only down side is you do have to go outside to see what the weather is like.  Read entire member review.
Very small, worn-out furniture, drum beat form music on the Promenade all the time, white curtains were see-though so nighttime curtains had to be drawn all the time unless you wanted people strolling the Promenade below to peek inside your room.  Read entire member review.
7587 and 7589. Nice view of the Promenade. Not too loud, generally the noise wasn't an issue except the first night it was most noticeable. Cabins were clean and enjoyed the connecting doors. Water temperature fluctuated wildly when showering to the point where scalding could have occurred.  Read entire member review.

Our stateroom was a Promenade View which was unavailable on Carnival's Victory. We selected this room due to our budget restrictions but still wanted to have a window. The view was of the Royal Promenade which is a fixture on Royal's ships; it houses bars, shops and is the main thoroughfare of the ship. The bed was two adjacent twins that made up one large king sized bed. It took up most of the room but still allowed for a small seating area and a make-up desk for my wife. The bed on Carnival was also two twins but they couldn't get the two to line up properly and the height of each bed was different which made very difficult to sleep comfortably. Royal has solved this issue by using a pad or "crease" filler to provide comfort when they put the beds together, it worked well and the whole bed was very comfortable. It was very interesting that the foot of the bed was rounded and only allowed for 12 inches between the wall and the foot of the bed, this may be used to accommodate taller guests but it was a minor inconvenience for us. The closets were similar for both ships and adequate enough to accommodate our ten days worth of clothes. We appreciated the availability of the promenade room on RC as it was a nice step up from the interior stateroom with only a minor jump in price; I highly recommend this room for couples looking for nice accommodations on a small budget.  Read entire member review.
Awesome As Always by Cayman Turtle

We had two adjoining Promenade rooms. Love the extra seating and being able to watch what is going on at the Promenade. There are blackout curtains for the evenings and the lights are dimmed at night. In the morning the lights are turned up, giving the impression of daylight. Only issue was that our kids (age 9 and 12) in one room had a different muster station than ours.

I had 7611 PR cabin. Was very happy! Never any noise. Nice to look out and see what's happening. Close to elevators and stairs.  Read entire member review.
Cabit 8277 - promenade deck 8. Smallish but bigger than the regular inside cabins. Has large soundproof window overlooking the promenade deck.  Read entire member review.

Cabin had a nice view of the promenade

We like a Promenade cabin as you have a window looking down onto the Promenade. We like to book on deck 7 or 8 as you dont get bothered with noise from the Promenade except when they are doing a parade, the two parades they did have were finished before bed time so it was not a problem for us. There is two small sofas in the cabin and a small coffee table. I do like the storage that is available and we have had no problem with space for all our clothes when we did a two week transatlantic crossing.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8289 Promenade Room. The Promenade (a kind of interior mall) is on deck 5. Decks 6,7, & 8 have rooms with a picture window overlooking the Promenade. Noise is not an issue on Deck 8. People & event watching is fun. The room is spacious for 2. Lots of storage. The king size bed is comfy. The bath is fine too. Never ran out of hot water. I miss an ocean view but this is much nicer then an interior room with no view of anything.  Read entire member review.

Promenade stateroom actually had more space than the outside balcony stateroom. My sister took the outside balcony and her quarters seemed cramped. My Promenade room was roomy and comfortable!

Interior cabin, promenade view. 8 deck.
It was OK, I would choose this again.

Claustrophobic in size. View of the promenade is dark and dismal for the entire trip; it is not well-lit at any point. The room layout made it impossible for two people to get around the bed at any given time. Two love seats were hard and uncomfortable. There seemed to be less storage space than any cabin I had ever sailed in, RCL or other lines. Since this cabin category was in the top few I was surprised at the less than comfortable accommodations. The refrigerator was never cold. It was mid-ship however so we did not feel much movement and also it was a pretty quiet location. The bed linens were of good quality.  Read entire member review.
Promenade Rooms are unique. Small but adequate for two.  Read entire member review.
Good Time by bonmarche

The bed was uncomfortable, and old. It should be better after the refurbish in April. The fixtures are worn, but working. My husband told me he was looking for the crank to turn on the TV. :) It was that out of date. It also only semed to be clear on the Spanish channels. Nothing much to watch while you get dressed for dinner etc, but we really didn't miss it.

RCCL Holiday - AMAZING!!! by lorrieartiste
Probably would not purchase this room again. I missed the oceanview and the sunshine in the morning!  Read entire member review.

First promenade cabin we've ever had and loved it. Deck 8 is quiet, never heard any noise except for 2 nights (70's party and a parade)... however it wasn't bad and it was fairly short. Loved the location of 8559 since the Cafe promenade is two floors down, right across cabin. Very convenient to elevators and if I had to choose another Promenade cabin, would not hesitate to book 8559.

Cabin 8577 Promenade rooms on deck 8 appear slightly larger than on decks 6 or 7 because the promenade is 9 meters at floor level, but tapers in to 8 meters at the ceiling of deck 8. The result is the windows in the deck 8 promenade rooms slope out at the top giving the illusion of extra space. This is a quiet room because there are guests only on one side. The other side is a service area that is quiet at night. The TV is ancient! My parents, brother and sister all had rooms with new flat screen TVs. I had an old fashioned CRT TV! A flat panel screen would have given the feel of more space. Closet is decent size for one (an over packer like me) or two with a reasonable amount of close. There is little drawer space, but there are shelves in the closet and a double clothes rod. The safe is in the closet at an odd angle, so you practically have to get into the closet to use the safe.  Read entire member review.
Great location and view from the window. Only noise is when they have the 70's night on which is only till 11.30pm. You'll have a clean sofa as I had it cleaned while I was there. I would definitely stay in that one another again.  Read entire member review.
A Mixed Bag by geekguy1
The room made excellent use of its space, with excellent storage space and very good soundproofing in their Promenade cabin.  Read entire member review.

This is the third time we have had a Promenade cabin. It's 160 square feet and was adequate. It had a nice size couch and the window seat for the bay window overlooking the Promenade . The view was not as great as we have had before. But the location is great; straight up is the Windjammer and straight down were the main dining rooms. The room shows age and wear but I felt like it was clean. It was around the corner from the elevator and was very quiet.
