Balcony Cabins 47 Reviews
These mid-ship staterooms can accommodate up to five guests, with two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed and additional bedding to accommodate three more. Also includes a sitting area and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony. Because these are mid-ship staterooms, you'll have easy access to everything on board.

8024 - nice size - small bathroom, but functional  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8032. Only issue we had was the condensate drain pan for the AC overflowing, leading to a wet carpet between the bathroom and the bed. It led to a pretty musty cabin. The maintenance staff was quick to correct the situation and clean our room, leaving it better than before. Everything else was good and it was very close to the elevators but still quiet.  Read entire member review.
Adequately sized, exactly what I expected and identical size to the Veranda Cabin I had on Celebrity Infinity at 170 sq ft. Good for 2 people would be crowded for more. Balcony was big enough for two people to use comfortably. Nice easy to use layout. Bathroom was compact but comfortable to use except for the intermittent sewage smell. Great view, comfortable, convenient, quiet slightly aft of midship location. Cabin was in OK condition but showing some wear. Several rusted areas on balcony. Should be a great cabin after it gets refurbished.  Read entire member review.
Sun through the Baltics by WitchyTraveller
Surprinsly the cabin seemed larger then on the Pearl. Bathroom was a bit tight but not too bad considering most hotels in Europe had bathrooms about the same size or smaller! Was showing its age a bit but still a wonderful ship. Not too big not too small. Balconys are very nice! We were midship and hardly felt the ship moving at all.  Read entire member review.
Balcony size is bigger than normal Norwegian cruise line but shower room is tiny.  Read entire member review.
Our Balcony was very private except for the people in the cabin next to us insisted on talking very loud on their balcony. But other than that is was almost mid ship and not far from anything really. Very quite most of the time!  Read entire member review.

A/C did not work the first five days. The bed was rock hard and had deep depressions where too many people had slept in them. I doubt the mattresses have been replaced since they put the Sun into service. I needed three eggcrate foam pads and a thick mattress pad to be able to sleep without pain. Sofa is too big and takes up too much room. Shower is tiny. I mean TINY. Toilet sometimes did not flush. Even after the A/C was 'fixed' the hallway was cooler than the room even though we had the thermostat on the coolest possible setting. Felt like I was in a cheap, pay-by-the-hour motel.

Without a doubt somewhat cramped, but something is wrong with the ammount of vibration felt in this cabin.  Read entire member review.
8222 WET CARPET!! Shower unit leaves, also 8221 same problem. Patio door hard to open and close. Blows open in at times!  Read entire member review.

Cabin was perfectly quiet. A little worn, but clean. Chair on balcony had a cigarette burn. Great water pressure.

Heard very little hallway noise from inside our stateroom.  Read entire member review.

Good location. Our cabin had great access to central atrium elevators, but was not noisy. We noticed a bad odor a few times in aft areas, I would avoid an aft cabin.  Read entire member review.
Cabin was excellent, spacious for 2, but no more, I'd say. Balcony was my favorite. Deck 8, a bit forward of midship. Easy access to elevators. Clean, though sofa/fold out bed was pretty dated looking, it was comfortable to sit on. TV was also old, but who the hell watches TV on a cruise, unless you're sick? LOVED the balcony, left the doors open 24/7 to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. If I were going on the same ship, I'd seriously consider trying to book the same room.  Read entire member review.

Cabin was nice - quiet location, not much movement(which WE like!). I found it to be too far from everywhere (well, as far away as you can be on a medium size ship!) The balcony was a good size, the closet had room for all the clothes brought by two women, but could have had a bit more floor space for shoes:o)
Would have liked drawers in the bed side table and the bathroom, but didn't really need them for storage. Bathroom size was good except for the small shower.

The cabin with a balcony although not really large was adequate. The balcony did have a lot of peeling paint on the walls by the door. The bathroom was a tad small, and we had a problem with the toilet splashing out the last night when the seas were heavy. The room was clean and the steward was around several times during the day to do a basic freshen up, but nothing out of the ordinary.  Read entire member review.
Cabin 8248 - This is the most spacious cabin I have had on board any cruise I have taken. We had a balcony. Two single beds and a pullout couch. Small TV, but great in-room movies. Limited news. It was clean. We didn't see the room steward much. There was no soap in the dispenser in the shower. The shampoo had no combined conditioner. If you require hair conditioner, bring your own or pay $11 for some in the sundry shop. European and American outlets in the room for charging gadgets.  Read entire member review.
First NCL Cruise..... by Cruising Nanny
A little small, but manageable for 7 days. Plenty of storage space, small balcony, small shower, bathrooms need to be refurbished a bit. Water did not drain quickly in sink and shower. Need new televisions / more channels. Beds comfortable, couch very uncomfortable.  Read entire member review.
Good size for this type of cruise. Shower a little small. Good balcony.  Read entire member review.
Balcony cabin 8253 on the Sun was an average balcony cabin. Bathroom was a bit small, but serviceable. Be aware, due to very small shower stall, it will flood if you are not careful. Always had plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Large couch was a plus, and there was ample room for luggage and plenty of room for clothing and other items. Balcony was quite small - it had a door, rather than a slider, which made the balcony seem even smaller. Barely room for two chairs and a tiny table on the balcony. Beds were not firm, but comfortable during our 15 night cruise. Cabin is a bit cramped when separating the bed into twin beds - have to be careful getting around the end of the bed closest to the bathroom, or you will constantly bang your leg into the cabinet.  Read entire member review.
