We were put in an aft facing, extended balcony cabin on the main deck (deck 4). It was wonderful! The roar of the water as the ships screws pushed the ship through the water was great! If you want to sit on a quite balcony and enjoy the view, then don't get an aft facing cabin. You had to raise your voice to be heard. Cabin 4237 awesome views, very large balcony, interior door that connects to #4239 #4239 & #4241 are aft balcony cabins with a complete overhang which allowed for a drier balcony due to all the mist and rain when sailing. The aft cabins do vibrate more and you notice the ship movement more, however you have the aft view of both sides of the ship which we felt was an advantage. $4193 French door obstruction. Same cabin layout as other balconies, however there is a lifeboat that fully obstructs any type of view and no access to step outside. You do get the daylight advantage and the ability to open the door slightly for fresh air.  Read entire member review.

The aft balcony was protected from the wind and gets lots of extra sun, which was excellent. The trade off is definitely extra noise and vibrations from the engine inside the cabin, and while I enjoy looking at the wake out the back of the boat, I now know I prefer looking out at the peaceful water. My wife has decided she prefers aft cabins. I'm not so sure. Indie the room was fine. There was only just enough cupboard space for three. The picture in the room was awful, and we weren't impressed by our cabin steward. The laundry is directly opposite the room. We found this a plus as we could use it, and you couldn't hear any noise from it. But we did have people knocking on our door looking for the laundry.  Read entire member review.
