Bathroom way bigger than Rhapsody. New flat screens, good TV choice with clear picture.
Excellent shower controls
Plenty of cupboard space.
Hard poor quality mattresses compared to Rhapsody (slept like a baby on those!)
Poor mini bar, which doesnt chill enough (was locked when we arrived, rather than being unlocked with the choice to lock)
Great safe (just swipe any magnetic card to lock and use the same card to unlock)
Very heavy doors (would crush your hands if not careful)
Nice light controls next to the bed to avoid stumbling around in the dark.
We had a major vibration through our bed which I believe was the washing machines running, not sure though. Read entire member review.
Cabin 1177 is an inside cabin with a queen-sized bed. It has 3 closets, ample drawers, a chair and little table, plus a dressing table with good lighting surrounding the mirror. The bathroom is typical of all cruise ships, however, it comes with some nice little samples of toothpaste, snore-strips, etc. There are 2 bathrobes in the closet, however one of them was torn when I was there. There is a phone and, interesting enough, it is cheaper to call home from your room than it is to call from your cell phone. The thermostat worked great for both heat and cool air. The safe is locked and unlocked by swiping a credit card (although no charges are made to your card). I didn't like that feature because you always have to have your credit card on your person along with your ship card, unless you don't mind just leaving it in your room somewhere.(Not a good idea.) There is a wet bar, and the room steward leaves a big bottle of water in your room (for which there is a charge if you use it). The room is mid-ship so it is the same distance to the bow as it is to the stern. Decent room. No complaints. Even though it was relatively quiet, I used ear plugs at night. Cabin 1185 is a bit noisy a night, it has the casino above it.
It is near the lifts\stairs, launderette and is a good size for an inside cabin. Read entire member review.
My inside stateroom (Category 1A) was on the Riviera Deck, room 1255. It was close to the stern elevators and on the 1st deck. The room was quite large (approx. 185 sq. ft.) with a very comfortable bed (two twin beds pushed together) with lovely linens, etc. There was plenty of closet and storage space and even if there had been two people in the cabin, there would have been lots of closet space. The bathroom was a decent size (no tub; just a shower) with lots of room to put away toiletries, etc. The towels were plush and the bathrobe was very comfortable. There was a desk/vanity and chair, a tv and a refrigerator. All in all, it was a very comfortable room. The sound proofing was very good and I rarely heard my neighbours. The cabin was close to the galley and elevators, but I never heard any noise. As well, I didnt hear any noise from the lounge above me. This was one of the quietest cabins Ive ever been in.
