Look I and the kids get see sick so we always stay on the bottom. Even with the expection of what a cheap room is to be, we had two they were very nice. No we did not meet our room stuard nor would I be able to reconize him. Yet He or They Kept the rooms great, and with two teen age girls thats aces in my book. when we got there I asked where I could get ice. and was shown where I could get it 24 hours a day, thats fine for me. fruit daily as requested. I say if a person does his job well and is not in the way all the better.  Read entire member review.

Because the cruise was a gift from my mother we had outside rooms with windows (we were in a king bed room and my daughter was in an adjoining 2-twin room) on the First Floor (Rooms 1960 and 1962). I prefer a room with a balcony, but honestly didn’t miss it much on this trip. It was too cold most of the time to leave the door open. My mother, grama and Aunt C were in a Neptune Suite on Deck 7 (7045). That room was the family “clubhouse” for the cruise and her giant balcony was available whenever we needed it.

The rooms were nice. I think that all cruise cabins feel shockingly small when you first step inside. I’m not a huge fan of the Holland America MS Amsterdam color scheme (the beige always feels old and yellow-y to me), but there was really plenty of room. There is tons of storage: four closets, drawers in the desk AND bedside tables and we didn’t even notice the drawers under our beds until the cruise was over.

This cabin was well-located, near the aft stairs and elevators. It had a generous amount of storage, more than we actually used. The floor space was adequate for our needs. The mattress was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was functional. The A/C worked well and cooled down the room at night. The cabin is showing its age, but it was clean and certainly okay.

Our cabin (#2659) on the starboard side was well-appointed, and expertly and courteously serviced daily by Ilham and Sehat. Both gentlemen were unfailingly helpful and pleasant as well as efficient. The unobstructed picture window was very nice. It is true we still missed having a balcony. We had quick access to the next best thing, the Promenade Deck. The location was great also, since we were not far from the stern, with easy and quick access to views, and to the Promenade Deck. It was also very convenient to the MDR. Noise from the nearby elevator was not an issue at all.

we were in stateroom (oceanroom) 2685. A nice room, not too small and nice bed to sleep. But as we were together we were littlebit disappointed that there was 1 towel in the room when we entered the room. Why? No checkings? And this is a trip to Alaska, middle of the summer. You have to close the window in the evening with a simple curtain. A lot of light is still in the room, even it is 12am....so why no curtains to make it more dark in the room? And did anyone inspect the door inside of the room on cleaning? This was really dirty! Fingertips, old dirt was vissible...jaiks!!! Bathroom is ok, but still with an old-fashioned curtain. And be aware that the floor upstairs is the walk-promenade, so around 7am you can hear already the first people walking!

Very quiet.  Considerably aft, which means a long walk to the dining room.  Read entire member review.

Cabin is at the smaller end of the sizes given. No tub, just a shower.

3307 and 3309 are adjoining cabins. Both have windows that open to the Lower Promenade and have partial sea views that are blocked only by the waist-high solid railing. They are below the theater, but we didn't find that disturbing. We were happy with the location. (Note: on a previous cruise we had a similar cabin that was under the kitchen. That was a very noisy location at night!)

Lots of storage space. Close to elevators but not so close that you have noise. There were 11 drawers, 5 closet doors and tons of storage space. Two of the closets were full length, one was half for hanging clothes and the upper half was the safe and shelves, the other closet was all shelves. We never did fill all the storage spots. The cabins are a bit bigger than other ships. For example, the sofa is full length rather than love-seat length. This was a good cabin!  Read entire member review.

Check out this inside cabin 6221. Great location and size for an inside cabin. Close to the pool and dining up and down. Super quiet. Clean and lots of space and storage. Lovely leather sofa and oh so comfortable beds. Everything you need.  Read entire member review.

Great location-mid ship near the elevators and the stairs, very quiet no hall or next door room noises.

Our crew members were absolutely wonderful! Laundry service was top-notch! Our every need was met with friendliness and smiles! Our room stewards quickly became our friends and made our trip extra special! This trip of a lifetime for our family was indeed very special thanks to the crew of the MS Amsterdam! : )

We found the suite and it's verandah to be very spacious. The main complaint is that it is located directly below the aft pool area of deck 8 and we could hear the scraping of furniture across the deck during the day and early evening. I feel that because this is one of the Neptune Suites that some sort of warning might be in order.

We had a ocean view cabin on the atrium deck. Very nice.  Read entire member review.

We liked the verandah room. The balcony was really nice and provided a nice relaxing experience. As mentioned, our only problem was a leaking toilet form underneath, which flooded the bathroom. It was fixed in a timely fashion. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. A very nice relaxing room.
