Cabin 2582. Port side. No noise at all, and we are picky. Never heard a sound except each other snoring. Almost mid-ship. Perfect location. Bring hangers!

Our stateroom was more generous than we expected, especially when it came to storage. We brought EVERYTHING and weren't even close to filling all the storage space. Actually we didn't even find all the storage space until the second half of the trip. (There are drawers under the bed - who knew?) Loved the CC advice about bringing a digital clock, power strip and extension cord and the over-the-door clear plastic shoe holder was such a great organizer for all our junk that would have otherwise been all over the dresser top. (Loved that trick so much I'm going to use it at home.) Our cabin location was pretty good - nearly mid-ship. The only noise we ever heard was some deck chairs scraping on the promenade, but it wasn't very loud nor a regular occurrence. 2586 offers a great view of the tenders being lowered. Number 10 goes right past the window. It was fun to watch that procedure.  Read entire member review.

Our Main Deck cabin was conveniently located near two banks of elevators. It was a fairly large room with a window. A drape could be drawn sectioning off the sitting & sleeping areas from the entrance door for privacy. There was plenty of storage room and enough lighting. The bed was comfortable and 2 end tables - one drawer with a lock provided bedside storage as well. A couch with pillows, a large end table with lamp, an adjustable coffee table and a desk with chair completed the furniture. Please note that there are only mini fridges in the suites. Our cabin did not have one. The bathroom (all bathrooms) needs a night light. Everything worked well. There was sufficient hot water. My only complaint was some early morning noise above us by crew working, which was corrected after a Q & A session with Senior Officers took place. So, I don't think this will be a problem on future cruises. The noise affected other staterooms on the deck, as well, not just ours. This deck is great if you have a tendency toward seasickness. It is very stable there.

Our comfortable ocean view stateroom #2595 was cheery and well stocked; it even had two hair dryers. It was fairly roomy by industry standards. We had a sitting area with a large end table, lamp and adjustable coffee table, a desk, a safe, a comfortable queen (two twins) size bed, good bedside lighting and two end tables. The magnifying mirror came in quite handy every day. The one thing that I did miss in the room was a mini fridge. You can rent one for $2 a day/. Only the suites have mini-fridges.

No More HAL by kauai2
Quiet location, handy to elevators. Nice roomy bathroom with tub. Tons of storage space. Only one electrical outlet in main cabin. I did not notice if there was one in the bathroom. They give you glycerin bar soap, which melts into a sticky mess in the soap dish. The room attendant never did clean out the dish; I did, and had to ask for each new bar of soap.  Read entire member review.

14 days in Alaska by Watson's aunt
I rated rates #1 because as a solo traveler I think the rates are to high. I love to cruise but the cost is just to high. Value I gave a 5 I had a wonderful time and I could not put a value on that. Its really to bad that HAL is discontinuing this cruise. Its a wonderful cruise. Also some of the ports on not on any cruise lines now. Also HAL does not give a solo passenger dooble Mariners points even though they are paying for another fare.  Read entire member review.
Great location (in my opinion). Hallway to outside to the bow side, one cabin to the stern side and then another hallway to the promenade deck. Nice view out the window. Quiet - once in a while some scraping sounds from above us and we got some noise if they lowered the life boats for a drill or tendering but that was about it. They did hose down the decks and chairs about 5:30 - 6:00 AM but we didn't hear them (I was out walking so that's how I know).  Read entire member review.
Although our Category C Cabin 3373 on Lower Promenade Deck 3 near midships has an only slightly obstructed ocean view, conveniently located with respect to the outside doors onto the promenade deck and to the elevators, and is a very nicely appointed, large cabin with big bathroom, its location directly beneath a portion of the galley on Deck 4 was disastrous! EVERY evening from 10 until 11:30 PM the substantial noises from above were MOST OBJECTIONABLE; it sounded like a combination bowling alley and roller rink. Several complaint calls to the Front Desk were a waste of time. Luckily we are early risers because the overhead noise began again around 5 AM. I would NEVER again accept assignment to this cabin, and I would NOT recommend it to my worst enemy! Live and learn, I guess.  Read entire member review.
Trouble with hot water continued throughout the trip, had to take shower at night to get even warm water. Fresh fruit in cabin was a real plus. Prompt room service.  Read entire member review.
