The way to cruise Alaska by Stiletto1958
Royal suite 1041 is divided into 5 areas, the living area has two sofas, occasional table and large flat screen TV, the dining area had a small dining table and bar area with a small fridge and the bedroom had a very comfortable bed and two bedside tables with alarm clock, iPad dock and a second large flat screen TV. The wash room had a full size whirlpool tub and a separate shower stall and two sinks with ample room for bits and pieces. The balcony deserves special mention, it was huge, there was a teak round table and four chairs plus two sun loungers, two foot stools and a coffee table and still there was plenty of room in fact it looked quite bare.  Read entire member review.

Cabin 1041, Royal Suite. Balcony was spacious and grand but teak needed treatment. Bedroom felt cramped and bed was not very comfortable. Some electrical problems with foyer lighting and surround system/dvd in living room did not function properly. Having 2 flat screens in cabin was decadent and enjoyable. Lighted art niches were nice touch. Couches were uncomfortable, but overall decor was nice. Amenities that accompany this cabin selection are welcomed and appreciated.  Read entire member review.

Royal Suite 1046: Pros: Nice size room Fantastic large balcony- round table with 4 chairs, two loungers and 2 side tables Great bathroom: 1 solo shower and 1 combo whirlpool bath/ shower non-smoking room and balcony Fresh fruit replenished daily Pull out sofa was comfortable to sleep on. Announcements were very rarely made in the stateroom. Closest royal suite to the middle of the ship Cons: Walls are sooo thin, the thinnest of any cruise ship I have been on. Can hear everything next door... talking and tv etc. So much furniture: Table with 4 chairs, love seat, full size couch, 2 sitting chairs, 1 4x4 coffee table. Light switches needed to be updated Not enough closet space, especially for a suite that size Not Enough outlets No wet bar, there is a place for one but it is not there. Can hear Hall noise in the cabin. Storage compartments in the hall touch the outside walls of suite. When opened and closed can hear the banging as if it were inside the stateroom. From living room can hear the crew going in and out of some interior door. Cannot hear it from bedroom.  Read entire member review.
