Aft-View Extended Balcony (8M)

Cabin Rating
This aft balcony cabin seems to be smaller than other balcony cabins, yet they rate it as a premium balcony since the balcony itself is a little deeper than most. On deck 7, there are 8 aft balcony cabins across the back of the ship. On deck 6 and deck 8, there are 6 aft balcony cabins across the back of the ship. Although all are in the same category, those on deck 7 are not as good a value as those on deck 6 or 8. Our cabin had no sofa or chair at all, but previously on deck 8 aft balcony we did have a small, comfortable sofa.  Read entire member review.
Our aft cabin was the best! The Triumph is an older boat, so there is not a flat screen or a refrigerator, but what do we need them for anyway!!! There were three of us so instead of a chair area they put a frame on the floor with the most comfortable mattress! It was just as nice as the regular beds. We put the little table next to it (it had an adjustable lever that allowed it to be really low next to the bed). We still had plenty of walking room and we really didn't get in each other's way! Plenty of closet space, loads of hangers! We each had a drawer. The shower had the best pressure! The hair dryer was not the best, so if you are looking to have a powerful one, bring your own. There is a regular medicine type cabinet with three shelves (one for each of us) and under the sink there is a huge shelf for lots of stuff also. The Aft balconies are incredible! MUCH bigger then the regular ones. If traveling with other people, you can open the slider with both rooms on each side of 7472. We had two chairs, a table and a lounge chair on the balcony. The steward put an ashtray out the first day! If you are on floor 8 you hear the scraping of chairs from lido deck, if on floor 6 you hear the noise from the karaoke downstairs. Floor 7 is the best for the aft balconies!  Read entire member review.
Just love Carnival!!! by slick's still cruzin
Great view - plenty of storage space. Loved the location & was very quiet. Enjoyed my dining room being located at the back of ship since my room was at the back of ship. Easy access. Was told that the sofa made out into a bed, but it didn't. Light on the balcony did not work. TV did not work. (did not mind this)  Read entire member review.

Our Aft Balcony cabin number 7428 was smaller than other Balcony cabins I've had on Triumph and other Carnival ships. Triumph does not have refrigerators as many other ships do but the room steward filled up our portable ice chest at least once per day so cold drinks were always available. There was plenty of storage space and closet space. I always bring some extra wire hangers and highly recommend doing this on any cruise. Bed was VERY firm (too firm for me) but some people like a firm bed.
