The Stateroom - It took over 8 hours to receive a refrigerator for my insulin. I originally asked my steward for that and a 'sharps' container. I reminded our steward as he handed me a 'sharps' container less than an hour later but it was overlooked. When we returned to our room after dinner and show I called customer service and when I was informed a unit may not be available I became irate stating that I called at 2:00pm originally, the person on the line became rude. A service porter delivered a unit 20 minutes later. We returned from breakfast one morning and our room was cleaned and bed made as usual. My wife went into the bath to shower, I followed to brush my teeth looking up there were long black hairs stuck to the ceiling as if someone wiped the ceiling with a dirty bucket of water, nasty. We found this very disgusting. I grabbed a towel and wiped down the entire ceiling. We didn't see our stewards until three days later, by then we didn't bother to comment and but it didn't occur again either. We've been on Carnival ships , Freedom and Miracle previously. The Triumph was really showing decreased maintenance and care. Chipped paint was all around especially on the heavily used Lido deck. In our stateroom the bath's vanity was chipped with multiple burn spots. The vent over the toilet was ajar and when I pushed it up, it came off in my hand. I set it under the sink so not to get hit in the head but it was replaced later by housekeeping with no incident. When you moved the lamps near the headboard you had to be careful they didn't come off in your hand. There was no ABC, CBS or NBC in our stateroom only a Latin CNN for any news. I called customer service multiple times with no resolution. On the last call the staff person stated there was something wrong with the satellite hook-up, if this was the case why weren't we informed previously? No answer for that one. I didn't look into it in the common areas (Latin CNN was playing) but I had better things to do. This is the first time we had a balcony stateroom (1055) on the side of the ship. It was "closer to the action" but we much prefer the balcony, the view and the isolation of the aft staterooms. With the angled partitions and additional width it makes a large difference.  Read entire member review.

Spa Deck (11) is great location, close to Gym and Lido deck, but short hallway that was secluded. The only negative is that the Mini-golf is right above the starboard side and people hang of the balcony and talk and it's like they are right over your head. Not a big problem.  Read entire member review.

Return to the Triumph by Vincent & Mary F
Wheelchair accessible Cabin 6208 is too small and not centrally located when compared with those offered by Princess and Royal Caribbean Lines. Also small balcony, but well furnished with ample closet and drawer space.  Read entire member review.

Mediocre at Best by travelwitheric
Our cabin was comfortable, bed was too hard. Adequate closet space. Head/bathroom was good sized. Wouldn't want to stay in the cabin too long. You'd get claustrophobic soon. Cabin AC got stale after a while and having a balcony was wonderful for the fresh air. This particular cabin was right under the flying bridge so you don't have an unobstructed view of the sky. Disappointing for star gazing.  Read entire member review.

Room 6247 Ok, it was not all that big but hey, who spends all that much time in your room. It had all the needed features and was clean and up to date. The only knock on this particular room was that we could hear crowd noise from the theater, barely.  Read entire member review.

Cabins on the Carnival Triumph are about the same as any other cruise ship. It was small, but satisfactory for 2 people. We had a balcony that was adequate. The bathroom was also small, but OK for normal sized people. Of course, everything on the ship had a price tag attached, which was at least double or triple what the same thing would have cost onshore.  Read entire member review.

Well laid out balcony room. Comfortable beds (did not wake up with a back ache). Some hallway noise but minimal. TV offers more selections than in the past. I am a golf fan and enjoyed watching the Masters after we took off.  Read entire member review.

Balcony 6270 Could not have been better. I loved it. Balcony had enough room for three although one had to stand. We never heard a noise. This was my first balcony and I was not disappointed in any way.  Read entire member review.

Only OK by Capt. Mike
Cabin was clean and we were well taken care of but never saw or met our room steward which is the first cruise I have been on that I never saw him. He (she) did keep the ice bucket full and did find a beer bucket to keep the wine we brought on board chilled. Over all he (she) was very efficient and did a good job. No complaints.  Read entire member review.

Stephen King Cruise by cruisedogatl
Cabin 1255: Barely any air conditioning. Smelled like a sewage treatment facility. Cabin 6367: So noisy you cannot sleep in the room! The room is directly above the bandstand in the casino.  Read entire member review.

Loved the balcony view. This really helped due to horrible weather conditions. Spent most of my time out on the balcony, and now I am spoiled. Really quiet (except for the people next to us) and lots of fun ;)! Lots of closet and drawer space in the cabin. Nice sized bathroom. Highly recommend a balcony if you can.  Read entire member review.

Nothing Special by shelbyloo1234
We had a balcony room, the balcony itself we really enjoyed. The bed felt like you were sleeping on the box spring!! HORRIBLE. Old TV  Read entire member review.

Great balcony, plenty of storage space, very noisy over the Venezia lounge. Avoid unless you are a party animal.  Read entire member review.

Love having a balcony. Lots of storage, closet space. Don't book the deck above the piano bar! (My fault!) Cabin convenient to elevators/stairs. We took stairs 85% of the time. Room carpet very worn. Room very cold even with air off.  Read entire member review.

Smelled like the hamburgers cooking on the Lido deck 3 floors overhead when the grill was open. Particularly pronounced in the late evening. This is a cabin where the bed DOES NOT split into two, but there is a pull-out couch and upper. Close to elevators that are near the food venues.  Read entire member review.

This was our 12th cruise - we are 50/47.  We have sailed Princess, NCL, Celebrity, HAL, Carnival and RCCL.

The Triumph was a very nice ship but, the cruise was a disappointment.  The layout was nice with the exception of the decks you were unable to cross without going up/down a few decks and around.  The theater was beautifully done and it never seemed crowded.

Our cabin was an odd shape and, therefore, very roomy.  The bed was put together when we arrived and stayed that way the entire cruise with plenty of room to move around.  Our balcony was larger than most in the category and we had 4 chairs and a table with room to spare.  The room steward showed up to introduce himself on day 1 and we never saw him again.  While the cabin was kept up, the rest of the service was fair, e.g., trying to get towels, ice, etc.  Slept like a baby though.

Casino staff was excellent!  We have been on 12 cruises and I must say, with the exception of the Constellation staff, the Triumph Casino staff ranked high.  Very friendly, pleasant even when you were up a few bucks and very attentive.

Entertainment left something to be desired.  Games that were scheduled during the day were never on time.  In addition, not everyone could participate.  They chose names out of a hat.  it was ridiculous.  We signed up for bean bag toss and never played.  It was too cold to lay by the pool first at sea day, they should take that into account when planning these games.  The day you could lay out by the pool, there was a 2 pc island band.  They played for 2 hrs the entire day and were not good.  Nothing like what we are used to. the few hot tubs they had were overrun with young children and parents nowhere to be seen.    Bingo was quite interesting.  Typically, the last bingo of the cruise is a big one...$3,000, $4,000, a free cruise, etc.  On the Triumph it was a whopping $350.  Pretty pathetic.

The wait staff was excellent.  Dinners were the best meal of the day - most dishes were good.  Found the Carnival Classics to be consistent - steak, shrimp, etc. Lunch was ok and breakfast was just awful.  Room service was fast, everything was cold and again, the breakfast...just nasty.   Read entire member review.

Tried the Triumph! by gottahaveabeach
6459 Upper deck balcony. Odd shaped room but we liked it. Only works for 2 persons max. The bathroom is over by the bed which we liked. The bonus is there are 2 windows plus the door to the balcony so the view is better. It is all the way to the back next to the aft wrap and there is a door from the hall with a small vestibule that goes to those two rooms so it is extra private. There's 4 closets, 3 drawers and 2 other smaller cabinets. Two small reading lamps over the bed. The balcony has 2 chairs, one table and a lounge chair, it is way longer than a regular balcony. Old tube TV, didn't work well. Remote touchy, sound was back. No room service on the TV. Old safe that operates with a card. Bed was very firm not much cushion. Loveseat on one side and a table with adjustable height option small vanity stool.  Read entire member review.

Carnival to Cozumel by FriscoTravels
Room 7225, Balcony room. The room location is decent as you are somewhat in the middle of floors you would go to, Lido and Dining. No refrigerator. Air controlled by a manual vent in the ceiling. The area was quiet for the most part, but no engine noise or noises from clubs or decks above or below. Even if you went with an interior room in the front section of 6 or 7, the exit to the front deck is close. There were always chairs available and it's a smaller/quieter setting.  Read entire member review.

Very dated cabin & balcony. Balcony had rusty spots on trim. Drapes in cabin were very old & dated & reeked of smoke, as did the bedding & carpet.  Read entire member review.

Nice position mid ship, can hear the water while lounging on the balcony in a robe with pillows, and a comforter. Shower and bathroom were adequate, four adults fit in one cabin fine. 1 on each bed, 1 on a roll away, one on the drop down. The drop down design is scary looking but seems plenty stable. The beds were just fine. Definitely no complaints with the room, other than it could use an updated look like Carnivals new ships with the LCD instead of CRT tvs, could be a bit modernized, but it worked fine, was still nice, and I hate that Vegas hotels gut the entire thing and redesign it every year or two. The waste could be a bad thing.
