ZAANDAM state room 2540 Our room was very nice indeed. Large bath with a tub.The room and the service was immaculate (as on all ships) Our Steward Hariul was most efficient, very polite and totally accommodating. Do not panic if the toilet flush does not function instantaneously !!! It has a mind of its own. It may hesitate a few seconds or minutes...sometimes an hour or two. This was the best cabin we ever had on a ship. It was an "inside" cabin with a window and a doorway away from a little used veranda. There was plenty of closet/drawer space and luggage fit under the bed and out of the way. The bathroom had a shower only. Cabin 7083 was on the Navigation Deck and only about six feet out the door to a small private deck at the aft of the ship with one flight of outside stairs to the Lido Deck. This cabin is a category I inside but has a large window. However in January 2011 HAL has changed the category to an outside. Small obstruction out the window being the handrail and stairs leading to the Lido Deck. Cabin was well laid out for an inside category.  Read entire member review.

This room was great for our needs. There are only the two of us. It had plenty of closet space (3), a flat screen TV, there were three night stands with two drawers each and there were two set of drawers under the foot of the bed that we did not find until the last day. The bathroom has plenty of space with a walk-in shower (no tub). A glass front corner medicine cabinet for storage and a shelf under the vanity. Plenty of storage in the bath. No odors or problems with toilet. Can be a little noisy for some people. We usually stay on the aft/stern so the vibrations/noise does not bother us. The motion did not seem any different in this room that anywhere else on the ship when we walked around. Carpet looked brand new and they shampooed the carpet one day while we were in port.  Read entire member review.
