The room was an adequate size for 2 friends sharing for a week. You might want a larger room on a cruise with more time at sea where you might spend more time in your state room than on a trip like ours where every day was different. It felt as if the room had more space when it was setup as a twin than as a double. It is a bit away from the elevators/lifts but that means you don't have a lot of footfall outside. We were not aware of noise from the cabins next to us or above us during our cruise. There is an interconnecting door to the next room which we did not use. If you get a rough night this is a good location since it is in the centre of the ship and on the lowest passenger deck. Good location. Some odd noises and our traveling companions said our room was, in general, noisier than their's. The room was a bit worn. We had plumbing problems but keeping the drains plugged helped. This is the first time without a balcony but the port hole view was fine. We did not miss a balcony. Cabin 1902, category E, deck 1, midship. Very large cabin with lots of storage. No noise from hallway or above; however, there was engine hum/vibration from below plus an occasional other noise (possible sound of hammering or clanking of chain) which did not bother me. The room was spacious with a large window. There was a lot of cupboard and shelf space for all 3 of us. There was room to put a large suitcase underneath the beds. There were 3 of us so I slept on the couch which turned into a bed. It was comfortable. The TV in the room has plenty of channels not that you will be using it alotbut there's CNN, espn, some movie channels and a few ship channels that show the captains log, weather, time, distance travelled, etc. There is one channel that shows the view of the front of the ship. Another channel to show some of the previous days lounge shows and events. The bathroom was very spacious. It even had a bath tub. We started getting towel animals on day two or three.

Our cabin was an ocean view aft. It was a very good location as it was near the elevator and stairs. The cabin had a bath tub which we always enjoy. There was adequate storage. The bed was comfortable and the cabin size was good.  Read entire member review.

It's truly amazing just how much can be fit into such a small space. I was most impressed that all cabins appeared to have a bathtub standard. The bathroom also features a cabinet behind the mirror to keep all the healthy and beauty items. There is one hair dryer mounted on the mirror but I also found another one in a work desk drawer.

The stateroom had three closets with adjustable shelves. One for the suitcases, and one each for the two people sharing the room. The room also features a work desk with chair, sofa with table and small bedside night tables on each side of the combined twin bed as we were a couple.

Robes are included, as well as a safe that works with any card with a magnetic stripe (as long as it is not your stateroom key). The rooms are cleaned twice each day, with two chocolates delivered at night as well as a towel animal.

If you have electronics that need recharging, bring an extension cord and/or power bar. I found only one outlet.
